"Reception, location and room are great for the price you pay. My gripe is with the breakfast reception. We entered and told them our room number. Just before getting our food, the lady told us that someone has claimed the breakfast with our room number and we cannot eat here unless we pay extra for our meal. Even though I insisted we haven't eaten and we are the actual occupants, the lady repeated a few times that the breakfast has been claimed and we can't eat. Eventually she relented when I told her to take a look at my friend who is clearly a foreigner and insisted that she check the CCTV. I get that mix-ups are probably rare, but to immediately insinuate that we are thiefs who are trying to take advantage of (a pretty mediocre) hotel breakfast at an airport hotel is unbelievable. Especially given that my friend is clearly not of East Asian descent! It left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. I don't know why the SOP isn't to make sure that we are the actual guests and give us benefit of doubt."

"The room layout is good and the facilities are perfect. The surrounding facilities are complete, the transportation is convenient, and it is very convenient to various scenic spots. Wanda Plaza is on the side, and it feels very good to walk and shop at night."

"The room has nothing complain about. It was great. I would like to appreciate their extra effort.I am a foreign traveler and checking in at 11:30pm and all staffs was friendly,welcomed and openminded. Since it’s very close to Airport,their guests might be heading to Airport always, but I really appreciated their airport shuttle bus info giving me very clearly and quickly while I am checking in. Shuttle bus departs at 5am taking me airport for 15mins. They also give all 5am guests the breakfast. I was surprised their service. I would recommend to staying here for not only Chinese, but also foreigner travellers."

"The facilities aren't new, and the cleaning staff were great, but the front desk was a whole other story. You had to proactively ask for the welcome drinks and snacks, and even then, they'd only be available the next day during business hours. When my takeout arrived, they didn't send the robot for half an hour. When I called to ask, they told me if I was in a hurry, I could go down and get it myself. I was speechless. They clearly messed up and inconvenienced a customer, yet they were so irresponsible. It was a really bad experience. I'm too lazy to move my luggage, so I'll just make do for a few more days."

"The hotel is right next to Baotu Spring, within walking distance. It's very quiet at night, and I even got a room upgrade when I checked in late. Next door is Ma Jia Quanshui Baozi, a famous steamed bun shop in Jinan, so I didn't book breakfast at the hotel. Instead, I went there early in the morning to queue up and got my food quickly, but don't expect too much. They even gave me a small gift when I checked out, which was a very thoughtful touch. It's also not far from Jinan High-Speed Railway Station."

"Overall, a very pleasant stay! Mindy from Guest Relations reached out beforehand to inquire about my room preferences and helped arrange everything, also explaining the executive club benefits. The location is excellent; just across Quancheng Square is Henglong Plaza (very convenient for dining and shopping), and it's close to other attractions. Parking is easy and plentiful. The stay was quite comfortable. I accidentally left a small bag at the hotel when I checked out, but thankfully, after contacting Zora at the service center, it was quickly found and mailed back to me. Overall, a fantastic experience."

"Let's start with the facilities. For this price, the hotel's amenities are absolutely on par with standard hotels in any city. It exceeded my expectations! The items provided were just right and very convenient. As for cleanliness, it was exceptionally clean. Regarding the service, everyone staying here is typically catching a flight the next day, and we were no exception, with an early morning flight. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport that can be tailored to your flight time, which is incredibly important and convenient."

"The service is in place. During May 1st, this price is difficult to find with lanterns. You can ask for water after drinking. Don't waste it. There are not many types of breakfast but the taste of the most common people in the hotel is clean. Finally, I would like to make a suggestion. Change the disposable slippers and it is easy to slide."

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly connected to Wanda Plaza, making takeout, dining, and shopping incredibly convenient. The price during this period was fantastic, offering exceptional value for money. --- Room Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Upgrade Surprise: The front desk staff were very friendly during check-in and proactively upgraded our room to a deluxe king on the 22nd executive floor. The three floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views. - Convenient Location: Our room was close to the elevator, making it easy to get around. - Minor Quibble: The sofa had a curved design, which made it impossible for our child to sleep on. A straight sofa would be more suitable for a family of three. - Air Conditioning: The AC worked well at night but was a bit weaker during the day. --- Breakfast Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Complimentary Breakfast: Our two-night stay included complimentary breakfast for two. The front desk kindly provided a complimentary breakfast for our child as well (it costs over 60 yuan if purchased separately via Dianping, which is a reasonable price). - Jinan Specialties: The breakfast featured a full array of local snacks, including 'Tianmo' (sweet soup), 'Gangzi You Tiao' (long fried dough sticks), old/tender tofu, tofu pudding with savory sauce, and beef noodles. - East Meets West: A rich selection of standard items such as bread, egg tarts, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal salad, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, and tea eggs were also available. - Verdict: Decent and worth the price. The beef noodles were particularly good. --- Pool and Gym ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Pool: The 32-meter long swimming lane had clean water, making for a refreshing swim. - Hot Tub + Sauna: There's a hot soaking tub and a wet sauna (not a dry sauna, so the heat is milder), perfect for relaxing after a swim. - Gym: Well-equipped. Occasionally, some children were playing, making it a bit noisy, but the overall experience was good. --- Service and Facilities ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Food Delivery Robot: Food can be delivered by robot or picked up by guests, offering flexibility and convenience. - Milk Tea Delivery: The robot can deliver milk tea directly to the room, which is a nice touch. - Concierge Service: Luggage storage, taxi booking, and other services were prompt and helpful. --- Transportation and Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Subway: Directly accessible from Jinan West Railway Station West Square Station on Line 4, making station access easy. - Taxis: A moderate taxi ride to attractions like Jinan West Railway Station, Baotu Spring, and Daming Lake. - Surroundings: Wanda Plaza B1 has a supermarket and various dining options, adding to the convenience. Summary Our family of three had a great stay during the Qingming holiday. The price was satisfactory, the service was friendly, and the facilities were comprehensive. While there were minor details like the curved sofa and slightly weaker daytime AC, these didn't detract from the overall positive experience. The pool, breakfast, and location were highlights. Five-star recommendation, we would choose to stay here again on our next visit to Jinan."

"The Grand Metropark Hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to all of Jinan's famous attractions. Being a high-rise, its top-floor revolving restaurant offers stunning views of the Jiefang Pavilion, Chaoran Tower, Daming Lake, and Qianfo Mountain. The elevated position also means street noise doesn't reach the rooms, making them incredibly quiet. The hotel service is also very good. Our room came with 10 bottles of mineral water and a welcome fruit platter. The room itself is spacious, with a completely separate bedroom and bathroom area. The bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet occupy a large space, truly reflecting the essence of a five-star hotel. The front desk staff, especially one lovely lady, was exceptional. On our first day, we arrived early, and she encouraged us to go sight-seeing first, even kindly giving us directions to Qianfo Mountain. When we returned, our luggage had already been placed in our room. After check-out, she even gave us a bag of snacks. A big thank you to the wonderful lady!
