"This village truly lives up to its reputation, and the guesthouse was excellent overall. The hardworking landlady and her family were very friendly, and the noodles and braised pork trotters they made were incredibly delicious and comforting. The tea here is also very good and worth buying as souvenirs. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again in the future."

"The first established hotel as you enter the mountains, with plenty of parking spaces right across the street, which is very convenient. It's a bit far from the attractions, so you'll need a car. They offer butler-style service; they'll contact you the day before to provide the address, travel tips, and other information. The hotel has a good variety of activities planned, including roasted milk tea, stir-fried melon seeds, and bonfires in the evening. The hotel's dinner was just okay, with plenty of room for improvement. Breakfast on the rooftop had a great ambiance and taste. The rooms aren't luxurious but are perfectly adequate. The air conditioning was a bit old and didn't heat very well. I didn't have time to experience the travel photography session. It was really expensive during Chinese New Year, haha."

"Advantages: convenient parking with above-ground parking, and the location of the hotel is also convenient. Disadvantages: 1. No service. The newly opened hotel has almost no service. The welcome fruit afternoon tea in the order does not exist. There are two bottles of drinks in the minibar. 2. Security issues. In addition, the hotel is divided into three ABC buildings, of which BC is two separate buildings and the elevator does not need to be swiped, meaning that everyone can enter any floor of the building without going through the lobby. 3. One room - provide a room card. Go to the front desk and ask for another room card to get rejected and say that there is a room card. I gave a power card to go back to the change. The room was immediately dark (the original plugged in the room card to get electricity card and pull out the curtains and close them automatically)! ! ! Almost fell! ! ! It means that the power card given is useless at all. Too speechless."

"I stayed for two days. The room was very clean. The bath towels, bathrobes and face towels were all packed in plastic bags, and there were also disposable ones. The running water and drinks in the room were free and replenished the next day. The face tissues were also wet. I liked the robot service the most. In order to let the robot serve more times, I stayed for two days and ordered takeout four times. The experience was super friendly and interesting! Breakfast and lunch are free and self-service, and the taste is also good. When I left, I was given a box of tea as a souvenir. I will choose this place next time I come!"

"The location is great, right in the center of the village. You can enjoy the sea of clouds and sunset from the second-floor tea room without even leaving. It's very relaxing, and the staff's attitude is quite good. However, there are a few drawbacks: 1. Although you can enjoy free tea in the second-floor tea room, it's a bit disappointing that there are no complimentary tea bags in the room. Even hotels not located in tea-producing regions usually provide tea bags in every room. 2. If the shower and toilet aren't separated, they should at least provide a pair of plastic slippers. Otherwise, wearing disposable slippers after a shower is very slippery and easy to trip. Not wearing any shoes isn't hygienic, especially since it's about 2 meters from the shower to the door."

"The front desk lady provided great service, the room layout was reasonable, clean and odorless, the bedding was comfortable, the shower was fast, the breakfast was good, the room was cozy, and the front desk staff had a very gentle service attitude. Overall, it was great and I will stay here again next time. I am very satisfied."

"All the reviews are true, but it’s not the wooden building that causes it.  Yes, it is very loud and you hear everyone. We’ve stayed in other fully wooden places, it’s worse here. Maybe not the wood but the guests are the problem. Loud Chinese people, walking the stairs with the heaviest pace you can imagine. Maybe help the other guests by hanging some warnings on the stairs: please be mindful for the other guests when walking to your room.  Also loud Chinese tourist on the square below. Not only while eating they scream all over the place, also with the tea ceremony nobody asks them to please stop talking after 23:00/24:00. We were up till 02:00AM because of tea drinking Chinese people at the fire. We stayed in the suite, which is located above the fire pit. Maybe the other rooms are less noisy. At 7AM each morning, somebody ran down the stairs. We think it’s the staff. It wakes you up through your earplugs.  The staff is OK. They are very shy, not rude. They could be more pro active though as we didn’t feel like they wanted to do something.. which is different to rude but also not very friendly.  The other villages around are way bigger and less cozy than Wengji. Also, with this guesthouse being just next to the town, it was perfect to escape the tourists most of the time. We didn’t find other accommodations in Wengji with the same aesthetics as Shishi guesthouse so we can’t recommend other places better than this. Maybe if the guesthouse would invest in trying to keep the noise down under the various guests, with text signs or with clearer house rules (fire pit), the noise problem wouldn’t be as bad.  Maybe if they tried to enthusiast their staff more and keep them from watching Chinese drama shows on their phones all day, they would be a bit more welcoming.  We’ve met a lot of amazing people in Wengji, it’s definitely not the locals that have this behaviour.  Lastly, the suite has a cubicle bathroom in the room, they really don’t clean this well. It smells very bad and just feels dirty all over.  For comfort this place is too expensive, for the location and aesthetics you won’t find better options nearby."

"I accidentally brushed this store on Trip.com . Although it was a new store, the actual stay did exceed expectations. Although it was a little winding in the stockade, the boss contacted in advance and came out to pick us up directly. The whole homestay is very new, the room is clean and the bedding is comfortable. In particular, I want to talk about his breakfast. It is a steamed bun made by the boss himself, which is soft and delicious. The boss family is very enthusiastic. When I come back at night, I will greet and drink tea and chat. It will not make people feel embarrassed. It is as comfortable as going to a friend's house. It also helps us lead the way. It is very good! In the morning, you can see the sea of clouds at the hotel, and you don't have to run the observation deck to crowd people. It is also close to Jingmai Shwedagon Pagoda and ancient tea garden, and you can pass by after a stroll. In short, this blind choice did not step on thunder, the price is reasonable, the living is comfortable, and I will choose this one next time. If you have to pick something wrong, the road in the stockade is relatively narrow, and you should pay attention to driving."

"The room was spotless, and even had a smart toilet. All the toiletries you could need were provided. In the evening, the owner even had a BBQ in the yard, grilling meat, oranges, sugarcane, and sticky rice cakes, plus karaoke! The sunset view from the third-floor balcony was absolutely amazing. The location is also fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's easy to catch a bus too, with a stop just a few minutes' walk away, and it's not a busy area, so no traffic jams – very peaceful. You can even walk to Wengji Ancient Village. The owners are also incredibly kind and friendly."

"I originally planned to stay only one night, but decided to extend it by another night to visit the Lancang Grand Market. The market has many vendors, including local farmers. You can tell who the farmers are by their stalls, as they usually have only a small quantity of goods. The larger vendors, however, have more items and their prices seem to be quite arbitrary, with the same product often having different prices. It's definitely worth a visit."
