"It is across the road from Guilin West Station, a little further up the road. This is supposed to be a suburb. I didn't feel anything when I checked in during the day, but when I went out and came back in a taxi at night, it was pitch black everywhere, with no people and no shops, which was quite scary. I chose a room close to the high-speed rail station because I had to catch a train early in the morning. But the room was unexpected. We booked a parent-child room, which was very large, with good decoration and bedding. The facilities are a little old, and the bathroom has a dry and wet separation. There are only 2-3 such village homestays nearby, and this room should be the best. There is a farm restaurant in the village next to it. We had dinner at Pan's Restaurant in the city. The restaurant is very old and the environment is very average, but the taste is like those old restaurants. The Pipa Duck and Plum Spare Ribs we ordered are not bad, and the blanched cuttlefish is just average. The four dishes for three people cost less than 200 yuan."

There is a balcony on the first floor, which is convenient for viewing and has a bathroom
There is a bath on the second floor, but the bathroom and toilet are very small
The hotel restaurant is good and the ingredients are very good
There is only one laundry room and you have to wait in line for a long time to wash clothes.
I recommend this room type to those who like duplexes. I prefer ordinary river view rooms with refrigerators, large bathrooms and toilets. It is not convenient to climb a duplex with a child."

"This place is a great deal for families. The lady picked us up at the train station and brought us back to the hotel, even organized a free taxi as there were seven of us. Rooms were spacious and clean, plus a chance to walk around a small village next to the station. In the morning she brought us back to the station for breakfast. Later she organized taxis for us to the next destination. Very friendly service and a great price."

"I've come to Guilin often over the years, but had not heard of Dongli Ancient village. This hotel was the perfect place to stay within this excellent ancient village site. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony that was next to and overlooked the river and its covered bridge. The room was in an ancient building but very up to date inside, with a modern bath with both a shower and bathtub. The room, as all of the village, was very clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed. The heater/air conditioning worked well. The service through out the village was excellent, though restaurant selection was limited."

"When traveling as a family, we usually choose a hotel that is close to wherever we go. It is very close to the city’s scenic spots and the price is very affordable. There are many places to eat and play nearby. There is a bus stop at the door. The waiter was very enthusiastic and asked if he needed more towels and daily necessities. , or other needs, very 👍, there is a large parking lot at the door, which is great for those of us traveling by car, the room is large and fully equipped! The sound insulation effect is also very good and quiet! Overall, I am very satisfied with my trip to Guilin."

"The hotel is relatively new and in good health condition. The first day I called and made an appointment to pick up the car at the high-speed rail station. I checked again before getting off the high-speed train the next day and found that no car appointment was arranged. Fortunately, I confirmed again in advance and made a temporary car appointment. If I got off the train and called again, it would delay my time."

The owners—a fantastic and lovely couple—made me feel more like a welcomed guest in their home than just a visitor at a hotel. The hotel itself is like a small palace, full of charm and character, and even features its own museum, which adds a unique and fascinating touch.
Every single moment spent here was pure joy. The ambience is simply magical—peaceful, elegant, and full of history. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and special, treating me with genuine kindness and care. The entire place was impeccably clean, and it’s clear that a lot of love and attention goes into maintaining this gem.
This is not the kind of hotel you come across every day. It’s truly one of a kind, and I feel so lucky to have discovered it. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I’ll definitely be coming back

GGuest UserI spent a long time searching on Ctrip before, and I saw this Shiyu Smart Hotel with its fresh-looking pictures and knowing it was newly renovated, well-decorated, and highly rated. So I navigated here. The lobby was very clean and bright, looking quite upscale. I actually booked after arriving at the hotel. I've had experiences before where I booked online and then the actual place was totally different, so I usually check out a place in person before booking. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I knew it was a good choice. My stay experience was genuinely excellent, definitely worth praising! It's just a few minutes' walk from the North Station. The room also had a faint, pleasant scent. It features voice AI control and a projector, making it very smart. The bed and floor in the room were spotless and very tidy. It looked incredibly comfortable. The bedding was also great, and the mattress was very comfortable. The soundproofing was excellent too. The hotel staff were very warm and helpful. My stay exceeded my expectations; at this price point, it's incredibly good value. It truly feels like a star-rated experience. Staying in a hotel like this for this price is just too good, an amazing deal. It was extremely clean and tidy. When I come back to Guilin for Chinese New Year, I'll definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserThis is a very nice guesthouse with complete facilities and cleanliness. It's a little far from Guilin North Station, but it's a 10-minute walk away. It's quieter off the street, and convenient for dining and shopping downstairs. The food is good and affordable. The hostess was very friendly and helpful to us tourists. Highly recommended!

I asked the front desk if they have disposable slippers? The answer is no. This is a minus! The rest is OK. The price is cheap and it is ok to live in. There is a vegetable market and many noodle shops nearby, so it is quite convenient to eat.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse is located next to Daxu Ancient Town, just a two- or three-minute walk from the town and pier. You can see ancient buildings from the windows; the Li River flows by, and the decor is antique and elegant. The owner is warm and welcoming, making it highly recommended. However, the lively chatter of geese and roosters behind the guesthouse, along with the morning crowing of a rooster, adds a unique touch. The last two pictures show the specialty tofu that the owner of the small tavern opposite the guesthouse highly recommends.

We arrived quite late in the evening (around 10:00 p.m.), the hosts were waiting for us. The room provided to us was very spacious, with two large beds, the shower was also large. We did not need anything. But the cleanliness of the room was not ideal.
