"The room isn't huge, but there's enough space. Overall, the experience was great. Being on the 28th floor, the view was incredible, offering an endless ocean panorama. At 200 yuan, it's excellent value for money. The reception service was very good, and the location is superb, right near May Fourth Square, making getting around super convenient. The metro station is just a short walk downstairs. The room was neat, clean, and odor-free. The bathroom is a bit small and doesn't have a wet/dry separation, but that's acceptable and might depend on personal preference. Overall, it's really good, and the value for money is outstanding."

"I'm reviewing this quite strictly because it's priced the same as the five-star hotel next door.
The room and facilities are relatively new, spacious, and very clean. The linens were all comfortable to use. The location and view are also excellent.
Here are the downsides I'd like to highlight:
The design details of various facilities in the room are quite average. For example, the shower head on the wall couldn't be adjusted, so you had to hold it, and it took a long time for hot water to come out. It was nice that laundry detergent pods were provided with the washing machine, but there was nowhere in the entire room to hang clothes. I suggest adding a retractable clothesline in the shower room.
The room's air conditioning and ventilation system didn't work well. It felt stuffy and hot during the May Day holiday, and there was still a noticeable odor in the room, so I had to keep the windows open for ventilation throughout my stay.
The TV had no free channels, everything had to be paid for, but thankfully, I could cast from my phone.
The breakfast was probably on par with a three-star hotel and needs improvement."

"Hotel is conveniently located near train station and 5 minutes walk to IZone mall where MUJI is located.
Front desks were always helpful.
The only amenities we used is the restaurant where we have breakfast. The only thing need mentioning is that they are closed on time. You are allowed to sit at the restaurant after 10am however no more access to food or even coffee which I think they should allow.
We stayed on the 26th floor. Nice view. It’s common knowledge that the Chinese love to smoke. I can smell cigarettes smokes coming from the ventilation into the room day and night.
The building is a little dated. The room I have, has been refurbished I believe."

"A special thanks to our concierge, Cherry, whose service was incredibly warm and thoughtful. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't familiar with the local area or transportation, and online food guides were chaotic and unreliable, making me worried about picking the wrong places. Cherry understood my desire to try authentic local cuisine and went above and beyond by taking her personal time to hand-draw a food map. This map clearly marked genuine BBQ joints,特色混沌 (local specialty wontons), and other established local eateries in the Shinan District. She cleverly helped me avoid tourist traps, precisely noting store locations, opening hours, and average spending per person. Beyond that, she kindly advised on transportation methods and reminded me to steer clear of congested routes.
The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. Our room was brightly lit with abundant natural light, and the soft furnishings were sophisticated yet minimalist. We were picked up from the airport by a shuttle bus to the hotel, and the next day they dropped us off at the subway station. "Right next to the Shangri-La, and less than a 10-minute walk to MixC shopping mall. I stayed for 4 nights. As it's a new hotel, all the facilities are brand new. The breakfast was the most pleasant surprise! There's a wide variety of dishes, especially a good selection of staple foods, and the flow of the buffet is quite well-planned. I particularly loved the 'Sa Tang' (a local soup), the jujube, and the egg, pork floss, and cheese pancake. The breakfast staff and the chefs at the hot food station were all energetic and very good-looking! Especially the chef at the noodle station – he'd always call out to let you know when your order was ready. Couldn't do without him. All in all, great location and excellent value for money! Highly recommended."

SShengsheng_This was my first time staying at an Atour Light hotel. The style is really interesting, with a predominantly blue theme, making it feel more geared towards a younger crowd.
The room size was pretty standard, not particularly large, but the cleanliness and service were excellent in every aspect. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and quickly helped with any requests we had.
However, the biggest issue with the room was the poor soundproofing. You could clearly hear people laughing or talking loudly in nearby rooms. This is definitely something that could use improvement.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. The lobby was bright and inviting, the hallways were pristine, and our room was immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it made our stay feel both safe and luxurious.
The staff deserves a special mention. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to the dining area, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles, were always ready with a local recommendation, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their positive attitude really set the tone for our entire trip.
Now, let’s talk about the breakfast – it was excellent! We’ve stayed at many hotels where the complimentary breakfast is a bit of an afterthought, but not here. There was a fantastic variety of selections to choose from. We enjoyed hot items like waffles and scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, pastries, and healthy yogurts. The coffee was always fresh and piping hot, and there was a great selection of teas and chilled juices to start our day right. It’s a real game-changer to begin a day of exploring with such a satisfying and delicious meal.
What truly sealed the deal for us was the incredible value. The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to other hotels in a similar category that we've stayed at in Qingdao. You get so much more for your money here—the excellent breakfast, the modern, clean rooms, and the wonderful service make it a standout choice.
The location was another huge plus for us. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without a car. Furthermore, the surrounding area is vibrant and full of life! We loved being able to step outside and find great restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. It felt like we were in the heart of the action.
Finally, as non-smokers, we greatly appreciated that the entire hotel, including all rooms, was completely smoke-free. It made the environment so much more pleasant.
In summary, our stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Qingdao was practically perfect. It offers incredible value, combining cleanliness, exceptional service, a delicious breakfast, and a prime location. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The cleanliness is excellent, and they offer an airport pick-up service, with a driver who was friendly and polite. My only real dissatisfaction was with the front desk. On the first night during check-in, with two adults and two young children (3 years old & 6 months), the staff member looked unhappy, didn't greet us, and immediately asked if we had booked two rooms. I even said hello and explained I had booked a family suite. After check-out, they kept sending messages daily, for several days, asking for a good review, even pre-writing it for me and asking for a screenshot as proof. This forced request for a good review was really off-putting. Originally, I was very satisfied with the hotel's hardware, cleanliness, and the driver, and intended to give a five-star review, but this, combined with the sour-faced check-in, really diminished my good impression by half.
Also, regarding the pick-up service, more attention to detail would be appreciated. After discussing my flight number via WeChat, and knowing I was arriving internationally, they directed me to the domestic arrivals. This meant walking from one end of the airport to the other. The whole point of getting a pick-up was because we had a lot of luggage and two kids; if I had to walk that far, I might as well have walked to the hotel myself.

The soft furnishings were tastefully arranged, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's security was excellent, making me feel completely safe during my stay. Kimi provided thoughtful and attentive service, and both the dining and amenities were top-notch. My entire stay was smooth and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a room with a great view.

KKelvinTraveling with my child, I booked a king-sized bed room and was worried about the space, but the front desk upgraded us to a family-themed room, which was incredibly thoughtful! The upgraded room was a wonderful surprise, complete with a B.Duck themed tent, a Ludo game rug, and cartoon pillows. My child had a blast as soon as we entered, and all our travel fatigue instantly disappeared. The room had excellent natural light, with warm sunshine streaming through the large French windows. The wooden floor was warm and comfortable, allowing adults to relax and children to play without bothering each other.
The hotel lobby is grand and elegant, and there's also a 'Bird Club' kids' play area with slides and rocking horses, making it super convenient for parents to relax while their kids play. Molly, a staff member, provided smiling service throughout, and check-in was efficient and patient, full of care in every detail. This hotel is my top choice for family trips; the proactive and warm gesture of upgrading our room was a huge plus. I highly recommend it to families visiting Qingdao with children!
