"Big thanks to Sister Qiu for always responding to our inquiries and to the boss, Hongbo, for the warm hospitality and care. We had a very comfortable and fun four-day, three-night stay (Dec 27-30) in Snow Valley. The warm beds, hot meals, and enjoying all the entertainment activities in Snow Valley and Snow Village gave our group of four an extraordinary winter experience.
At Xiongling in Snow Valley, we tried snowmobiling, snow tubing, skiing, and snow drifting (super thrilling!).
**Friendly reminder**: Please wear sunglasses, a mask, and a snow hat. This will help prevent the cold snow from hitting your face when you're snow drifting. The snow hitting your face is incredibly, unbelievably cold!
For the Yangcaoshan itinerary, I recommend buying tickets for the horse-drawn sled and taking the snowmobile all the way up the mountain. Hiking would be a very long and time-consuming distance. For the second half, we opted to hike down to Snow Village, and the snow scenery along the way was absolutely spectacular, perfect for photos. You can also buy a small sled to enjoy some exciting mini snow runs on the way down.
**The only drawback**: The shower head in the bathroom had low water pressure, so it took a bit longer to shower."

We arrived during the first heavy snowfall, so there weren't many tourists. The room was clean, quite spacious, and comfortable to sleep in. The toilet was also electric and had a heating function – a big plus!"

"1) This is one of the first villages you'll encounter when traveling from Harbin. The vehicle will drop you off at a designated point, and there will be another car waiting to take you directly to your accommodation.
2) The accommodation has its own activity area with fishing and some free playground equipment. But the real highlight is the waterfall – it's truly breathtaking! After walking into the gorge for about 100-200 meters, you'll find several other waterfalls and an ice stream. Someone will guide you there.
3) The rooms are clean, and the water pressure is strong. The towels are disposable paper ones, and there's a hairdryer.
4) The food is delicious and affordable. Oh, and they also have shabu-shabu!
5) At 6:30 PM, a car will take you to the central village stage and the walking street.
6) Unlimited hot water! There's a dispenser where you can refill your own water whenever you like.
7) The service is excellent, especially from the owner's son and daughter – they are lovely! They provide great advice, are very helpful, and even took us sightseeing.
8) The only drawbacks are that the pillows are a bit flat (you'll need to ask for extra ones), and the breakfast is quite minimal, consisting only of one boiled egg, congee, pickled vegetables, and mantou. This might be typical for accommodations in this area, offering this kind of breakfast, which may not suit Thai tastes.
9) Overall, I highly recommend staying here; you won't be disappointed."

"I rarely write such detailed reviews, but this trip to Harbin, especially the arrangements in Xuegu, was truly a highlight. This guesthouse we booked was perfect for enjoying the snow. Just 30 meters from the entrance, there's a huge snowy field, and behind it, a mountain for hiking to see rime ice. The guesthouse is newly renovated but has no unpleasant smell. The room was spacious, very clean, and soundproofing was excellent; even with fireworks going off outside, I couldn't hear a thing, so I slept wonderfully for both nights. For such an affordable price, breakfast was included. The sweet potato porridge was delicious and fragrant, and there were also eggs, steamed buns, pickles, melon seeds, sugar tangerines, and frozen pears – all you can eat. Plus, there were free fireworks displays in the evening! The landlady was incredibly warm and helpful, answering all our questions and even providing us with lots of travel tips. Both the adults and kids had a fantastic time during our two days in Xuegu. I hope to come back again and have already recommended it to my friends!"

"We stayed at Kuolanting Inn for two nights and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by three friendly women. Although language was sometimes a barrier, we always felt well taken care of. The hosts patiently used a translator whenever we needed anything, which made communication smooth and reassuring.
Mr. Gang was exceptional. Even before our arrival, he provided us with all the information we needed. He managed all our transportation—from Harbin to Snow Village and back to Harbin—and even arranged our transfers between Snow Village and Snow Town seamlessly. During our stay, he joined us in activities and recorded our moments using his 360° camera, which was such a thoughtful and special touch.
The lady who cooked for us was lovely, and every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. We felt full, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay.

Friends who have been here know how great the value is! 😉😉 I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, and I finally had the chance to visit today. It was a fantastic experience, not a disappointment at all! The whole experience was incredibly enjoyable. The store isn't very big, but the layout is very organized, and the lighting creates a great atmosphere. I always check this platform before going out, and it's consistently excellent. Five stars! "I highly, highly, highly recommend this guesthouse! We really value cleanliness, and this place absolutely nailed it. There wasn't a single strange smell when we walked in, and the floors were sparkling clean – everything looked super reassuring. The facilities were thoughtfully provided too. I finally got to experience sleeping on a traditional 'kang' (heated bed) from Northeast China, hahaha! I was a bit worried about the cold in the Northeast, but the room temperature was just perfect, very warm. The 24-hour hot water was incredibly convenient; it felt amazing to take a hot shower after being out in the snow. Charging outlets, a hairdryer, all these little essentials were well-stocked and incredibly handy. The service was absolutely outstanding. The owners were genuinely warm and welcoming. They proactively helped us with our luggage when we got out of the car, let us borrow traditional floral cotton coats for free, and even taught us the 'splashing water into ice' trick. When we went to Wusongling (Rime Island), the owner came along, recorded videos for us with their 360 camera, and personally sent them to us. The service was truly superb! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful trip experience in Northeast China. I'll definitely recommend this to all my friends!"

CchuweeduThis is an absolutely amazing place to stay! The accommodation is beautiful and clean. The owner is incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Whatever we needed, they arranged it for us. The hot springs were fantastic, and the food was plentiful and delicious. If we wanted to do activities, we just told the owner, and they booked everything for us, even having their son act as a guide for all the activities. Breakfast was included, and the owner even gave us frozen fruits and tomatoes in a bag to take with us when we left. It's truly one of the best places I've ever stayed. The accommodation is lovely, and they even provide free snow play equipment. Every aspect of the service was impressive. You could easily just stay and enjoy everything here without needing to go anywhere else; they have it all! I loved it so much!

GGuest UserFortunately, I chose to stay at Ruixue B&B for two nights this time, seizing the tail end of winter and appreciating the culture and scenery of the Snow Valley.
First of all, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the boss lady from the phone call before check-in. She helped me book the bus ticket from Harbin to Xuegu in advance, and arranged the itinerary for Xuegu the next day and the ticket to Yanji on the check-out day. I am dazzled by reading Xiaohongshu, but I don’t have to worry about joining a ”bad” group and ruining my fun, nor do I have to spend extra time buying tickets myself. I can rest assured and let the B&B owner arrange the itinerary.
Secondly, when we arrived on the same day, the young lady and her family were also very warm and hospitable. Not only did they give me a warm welcome, they also served me hot tea, which made me feel as if I was home instead of away from home. I could rest comfortably in the homestay, chat with them about everything under the sun, and learn more stories about life in Snow Valley (or just chat about daily life). Although it was our first meeting, I felt like I was happily getting along with friends I had known for years.
The homestay room is warmly decorated and matches the photos. In addition to the warm beds, hot water is provided and there is a Dyson hair dryer. There is really nothing to say about the attentiveness of every detail! You don't have to worry about finding food, as it only takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the main street. You can also choose to order food directly from the B&B. In addition to Northeastern specialties, there are many dishes that are not usually easy to see. The basil roe deer and sauerkraut shreds I tried this time are not only reasonably priced, but also very delicious and large in portion. It is a good choice without having to go out and get cold!
As for the arranged Snow Valley entertainment itinerary, there are three projects in total, including soaking in the open-air hot springs in the snow at night (experience the stimulation of alternating hot and cold), Wusong Ridge (watching the beautiful rime and snow scenery on the top of the mountain, playing in the snow, riding a snowmobile, snow rafting, dragon boat, ice skating, etc.), and Yangcao Mountain (following the route crossed by the brave, taking a horse-drawn sleigh and snowmobile from the Snow Valley to the top of Yangcao Mountain). It can fully meet the expectations of southerners coming to the north for ice and snow, and there is no congestion in the snow town. I really thank the boss lady for her hard work again. From my personal experience of frequent travel, her meticulous and considerate service is definitely five-star. Although the drive from big cities (such as Harbin) to the Snow Valley is not short, the beauty of the Snow Valley in winter and the goodness of the Ruixue B&B are definitely worth experiencing in person, and I will definitely visit again if I have the chance!

JJiamoufurenThe owner pre-booked a bus for us from Harbin to Xuegu, which dropped us off directly at the guesthouse entrance. They also provided shuttle services to and from the ski resort. Frozen pears and frozen persimmons were aplenty, and in the evening, they even taught us how to make candied hawthorn skewers – the emotional value was off the charts! The guesthouse is centrally located in DongSheng Forest Farm in Xuegu, just a short walk from various iron pot stews and small BBQ joints, which was incredibly satisfying! I even got to experience sleeping on a traditional heated brick bed, and I honestly didn't get enough sleep, haha… I hope to have the chance to visit Xuegu again and stay at Jiayi Guesthouse!

He has multiple jobs including driver, tour guide, photographer, babysitter, help with booking a car, customizing an itinerary, etc. I knew there was no TV in the room before booking, but I was afraid I would be bored. As a result, the whole night's activities were arranged in a variety of ways, haha. You can have fun and fall asleep. The boss's family is warm and sincere. It really feels like home. The sliding ring in their own yard makes the children have a lot of fun. There are even more fun trips to Yangcao Mountain Crossing and Wusongling. The boss also took us to explore the snow in depth, and the experience was full 💯 There was also a small episode. On the way to the B&B, I left my ID card in the service area halfway. The boss helped to contact and find it. When we came back from the trip, he gave us a big surprise. I was touched❤️ The first sentence of the child after moving to Harbin was Let's go back to Xuegu to play 😂😂😂 Highly recommended for families with children, super cost-effective You can just go to the snow town to check in. If you have enough time, it is recommended to stay here for a few more days. This is the most satisfactory place for this trip to Harbin. I will come again next time! ! ! 🥰

SSudaratThe room is a normal standard type but it's very cheap, only a hundred baht per night. But they informed me from the beginning that there will be nothing in the room. There are no towels, no soap, if you want it you have to ask for it, there is no water, you have to buy everything yourself. But overall, it's not as bad as the price. But the downside is that many people here smoke. If you don't like the smell of cigarettes, you may have to find another place that is closer because the smell of cigarettes here is really strong. But the bed is warm, there is a water heater, overall, it's okay.

MMalahuoguojiaodachanglaoThis time, we took the kids and stayed in a heated kang room. It was my children's first time experiencing a traditional東北 (Dongbei) heated kang, and they found it very warm, quite different from sleeping on a regular bed. It's firmer than a bed but exceptionally warm, and the room itself was very toasty. The owner was really hospitable. The location is also good, close to the road, making it convenient for those traveling by car.
