"The B&B owner was incredibly hospitable, the rooms were warm and spotless, and the Northeastern-style stewed fish was delicious. The beautiful snowscapes were visible everywhere, and Dog Bear Mountain was exciting and fun. It's definitely worth a visit! In the evenings, the lobby was filled with travelers from all over the world, chatting happily with the owner (who, by the way, used a translator to communicate with foreign guests, so cool!). He's super popular with international visitors; even a Malaysian tourist mentioned that this B&B is famous in their country. The owner even accompanied us to Dog Bear Mountain for free and offered drone photography. The emotional value was immense, highly recommended!"

"This hotel is great, it feels like staying at a relative's house in the countryside. It's a bit far from the shops as it's at the end of the village (but if you want to buy things or eat at restaurants, it's not a long walk). The location is fantastic because you open the door to beautiful mountain views. Right next door there's an activity area with a slider and ice skiing. It's not crowded, so it feels very private. There's also a waterfall near the hotel. You can spend all day at the hotel without getting bored because there are activities to do and beautiful views for photos. The hotel food is delicious, and breakfast is free. It's mainly rice porridge, eggs, pickled vegetables, and plain steamed buns. If you want other things, you can order à la carte. Hot pot is also available but costs extra. You can buy snacks or drinks at the hotel if you don't want to walk to the village shops. Prices are reasonable, and you can pay by QR code or cash. The rooms are in the same building as the lobby, so if guests in the lobby are loud, you'll hear them. I recommend booking a room further from the lobby if you want peace and quiet. The bed is wide and comfortable, not cramped. It's a heated bed. There's a hanger for clothes. There's no air conditioning in the room, but the weather is cold so it's not really needed. The only issue is when you're fully dressed, you might feel hot and uncomfortable, but it's fine once you step out of the room. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation with a curtain. The bathroom floor is a bit slippery, but the hotel provides slippers which help prevent slipping. There's no bidet spray in the bathroom, but the showerhead has a small sprayer that can be used instead. The bathroom has hot water, a heater, and ventilation. Towels are disposable. There's a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer, but no conditioner. If anything runs out, you can ask the hotel. The owner and staff are very attentive. You can book tickets for mountain activities directly with the accommodation. However, there's no signal on the mountain, so you need to bring cash or exchange money at the hotel. When going to the mountain, the hotel provides a pick-up and drop-off service, and a hotel staff member accompanies you to guide you through all the activities, making sure you have fun, haha! It's very worthwhile. Overall, it's excellent. It might not be a luxury hotel, but everything combined – the location and the beautiful views – is well worth the room price. If I come again, I'll book here."

"It was great. The owner is so helpful with all the bookings. The inn is located at the end of the road. A bit of distance from the main road. However it is usually full or almost full and I wonder why? So one reason is the helpful owner. Secondly the cooks there can whip up delicious dishes. Thirdly, one difference between this inn and others is that it has a large area in front of the inn. So if you have kids, they will appreciate the large area during winter. I love the big swing in front of the property. Looking at the stars while swinging under the stars. It is a nice place to stay but be prepared by how the North East people live and sleep."

"This is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The rooms are very clean. You can arrange private transportation through the hotel staff. The chef makes delicious food, so you don't need to eat out. The hotel can also arrange all the activities you need, making the trip very smooth and enjoyable. But above all, I want to thank and appreciate all the staff who helped me find my lost phone while doing activities in the mountains. Everyone helped me so much, even in freezing weather, and even stayed up late without expecting anything in return. I was very impressed with this place and will definitely return if I have the chance"

"Prior before arriving we communicated thru wechat. Inn’s owner are very responsive and i can sense they are genuinely nice couple. I requested a door to door transfer with a private car for the 4 of us from Harbin city snow valley. All snow activities was arranged by Lao Ban too. Upon arrival we was greeted warmly. Lao Ban and Lao Ban Niang was very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping/cook madams was just so motherly adorable. We had some good conversation with Lao Ban albeit thru google translate. A friendly man, there is always something to talk about when we see each other. Lao Ban Niang was equally nice, she offered us coffee, get hot water to heat up our ready to eat meal packets and suggested vegetarian/seafood dishes tha we can order. Since we are muslim, the breakfast provide was plain porridge, steamed bun, hard boiled eggs and some pickled vegetables, it was sufficient to start the day. The room was clean, cosy and spacious enough for 4 adults. Ample space for our stuff. It was another unforgettable unique experience staying in Wuchang Snow Valley Mountain Courier station. We absolutely love it."

"I highly, highly, highly recommend this guesthouse! We really value cleanliness, and this place absolutely nailed it. There wasn't a single strange smell when we walked in, and the floors were sparkling clean – everything looked super reassuring. The facilities were thoughtfully provided too. I finally got to experience sleeping on a traditional 'kang' (heated bed) from Northeast China, hahaha! I was a bit worried about the cold in the Northeast, but the room temperature was just perfect, very warm. The 24-hour hot water was incredibly convenient; it felt amazing to take a hot shower after being out in the snow. Charging outlets, a hairdryer, all these little essentials were well-stocked and incredibly handy. The service was absolutely outstanding. The owners were genuinely warm and welcoming. They proactively helped us with our luggage when we got out of the car, let us borrow traditional floral cotton coats for free, and even taught us the 'splashing water into ice' trick. When we went to Wusongling (Rime Island), the owner came along, recorded videos for us with their 360 camera, and personally sent them to us. The service was truly superb! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful trip experience in Northeast China. I'll definitely recommend this to all my friends!"

"The room is super spacious, looks newly renovated, and has floor heating, which kept it very warm. You can see the snow scenery right from inside the room. There's a big yard out back with lots and lots of snow 🌨️. The toilet in the bathroom is smart, and the large shower head made for a very comfortable shower. The bathroom also has a wet/dry separation. You can even control the room's devices with your voice. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff and cleaning aunties were all very thoughtful and answered all our questions. The owner was always available when we needed him, providing excellent service. They even helped us book tours and activities. The location is also very convenient; the owner helped us book a bus that dropped us off right at the hotel entrance, which was great. In the evening, they even prepared frozen pears and frozen persimmons for us."

Points for Foreign Families to Note: Language Barrier: The staff were very kind and helpful, but did not speak English. They managed communication using translation apps, which was fine but required patience. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was entirely Chinese-style (congee, egg, steamed buns, pickles). Amenities: Don't expect extra facilities like a gym or pool. It's a place to sleep and clean up, not a resort. Local Focus: The inn is clearly geared toward domestic travelers, so room decor is simple and functional. Overall: This inn is an excellent, economical choice if you prioritize a clean room and good value. We were comfortable and would use it again for a budget trip"

"Good, exactly as pictured and very clean. The owner is incredibly clean, but I actually appreciate that. Around the hotel, there's a snowy field with plenty of space to play in the snow, so you don't have to walk far at all. It's really great, I love it! My only complaint is that there's no heater or ventilation fan, so sometimes it was a bit difficult to breathe in the room 😂. But overall, it's very good! 💖"

"No welcome whatsoever. After checking in, I had to drag my own luggage to the room. No one offered to help; the staff just stood there, looking and smiling, without offering any assistance. There were also no activity recommendations. That's enough for me. I stayed here for two consecutive years, but I won't be coming back again. #Villa 4"
