According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"This hotel is great, it feels like staying at a relative's house in the countryside. It's a bit far from the shops as it's at the end of the village (but if you want to buy things or eat at restaurants, it's not a long walk). The location is fantastic because you open the door to beautiful mountain views. Right next door there's an activity area with a slider and ice skiing. It's not crowded, so it feels very private. There's also a waterfall near the hotel. You can spend all day at the hotel without getting bored because there are activities to do and beautiful views for photos. The hotel food is delicious, and breakfast is free. It's mainly rice porridge, eggs, pickled vegetables, and plain steamed buns. If you want other things, you can order à la carte. Hot pot is also available but costs extra. You can buy snacks or drinks at the hotel if you don't want to walk to the village shops. Prices are reasonable, and you can pay by QR code or cash. The rooms are in the same building as the lobby, so if guests in the lobby are loud, you'll hear them. I recommend booking a room further from the lobby if you want peace and quiet. The bed is wide and comfortable, not cramped. It's a heated bed. There's a hanger for clothes. There's no air conditioning in the room, but the weather is cold so it's not really needed. The only issue is when you're fully dressed, you might feel hot and uncomfortable, but it's fine once you step out of the room. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation with a curtain. The bathroom floor is a bit slippery, but the hotel provides slippers which help prevent slipping. There's no bidet spray in the bathroom, but the showerhead has a small sprayer that can be used instead. The bathroom has hot water, a heater, and ventilation. Towels are disposable. There's a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer, but no conditioner. If anything runs out, you can ask the hotel. The owner and staff are very attentive. You can book tickets for mountain activities directly with the accommodation. However, there's no signal on the mountain, so you need to bring cash or exchange money at the hotel. When going to the mountain, the hotel provides a pick-up and drop-off service, and a hotel staff member accompanies you to guide you through all the activities, making sure you have fun, haha! It's very worthwhile. Overall, it's excellent. It might not be a luxury hotel, but everything combined – the location and the beautiful views – is well worth the room price. If I come again, I'll book here."

"The stay was very cozy! The hosts helped arranged our transportation to and fro Harbin City and it took us around 3 hours only to arrive. We arrive around 10am in the morning and our room was already ready. The room was very spacious for 4 people you can definitely fix large luggage inside. The washroom was very modern too but of course there was not bidet so you might want to bring a portable one. Only disposable towels are provided so if you are staying more than one night you might need to bring your own. They also helped and arrange snow activity for us which costed 400CNY per person. Before we went for the activities, they prepared some light meal for us. Fireworks at 8pm (not sure if it's everyday tho). Breakfast included porridge, buns and some side dishes. They were selling some drinks and snacks too but if you Muslim but wary about the halal status you can bring your own 3in1 drink and food. Overall it was a very nice stay and the hosts are very kind and helpful. Totally recommended!"

"I have to make this review before the winter ends because this homestay deserves all the guests coming to snow town and snow valley. The hospitality of the owners is beyond imagination, i’m not kidding! They have been extremely helpful in guiding us throughout our travel to snow town and snow valley. We communicate using a translator but it still feels like speaking with a friend. Don’t hesitate to ask questions regarding your trip and the activities that you want to do. As for us, we booked a 3d/2n stay with them. They helped us maximize our itinerary as well. 2 nights before our tour, the owner gave us the number of bus driver. We paid the bus tickets in advance. Day 1 8am-2pm - Bus from Harbin to Snow Town (Xuexiang). We left our luggages in the bus. Tickets bought at the entrance. Dont worry about prebooking. Play in Snow Town until 8pm. 8pm - Bus ride from Snow Town to Snow Valley. The bus driver already knows where to drop us. At the bus stop, we were fetched by car and brought to the inn (~2 min ride). Day 2 9am-4pm Play at Guoxiongling Bear Ridge. For 400rmb/pax, we went up the mountain by snowmobile. We played banana boat drift, snowmobile, some went skiing and a super amazing view! There were also fun group activities! :) Note: The owner gave us drone videos of ourselves and took pictures of us. He also brought his insta360 and gave us copies of group activities videos. You can also use this during the banana boat drift which would look awesome with insta360. The owner is also a licensed ski instructed but my husband didn’t want to ski so there’s that. Haha. We went down around 3pm by snowmobile. At 5pm, we ordered dinner from their restaurant. The Northeastern Fish Stew is amazing!! Try it and thank me later. After dinner we did the hot water in ice trick for Free! We also had fun talking about traveling and sharing stories of our pets, while having tea, frozen persimmons, peach and sunflower seeds. 🥰 Day 3 Departure date. Bus leaves at 6am and 9am. They booked the bus for us back to harbin. I wish we could have stayed longer! Room we stayed had a heated Kang bed. The floor had heating too. Toiletries are complete with indoor slippers. Breakfast serving is large! The room is clean, with water heater. On top of that, it’s 1/10th of the price of snow town accommodations. Snow village offers a unique experience away from the glittery lights and sounds of snow town. It is both peaceful and charming. Thank you Liu Bo and your husband for the awesome stay we had. We truly appreciate it! Thank you for the surprise and gifts as well! :) We hope to see you soon again!"

"I highly, highly, highly recommend this guesthouse! We really value cleanliness, and this place absolutely nailed it. There wasn't a single strange smell when we walked in, and the floors were sparkling clean – everything looked super reassuring. The facilities were thoughtfully provided too. I finally got to experience sleeping on a traditional 'kang' (heated bed) from Northeast China, hahaha! I was a bit worried about the cold in the Northeast, but the room temperature was just perfect, very warm. The 24-hour hot water was incredibly convenient; it felt amazing to take a hot shower after being out in the snow. Charging outlets, a hairdryer, all these little essentials were well-stocked and incredibly handy. The service was absolutely outstanding. The owners were genuinely warm and welcoming. They proactively helped us with our luggage when we got out of the car, let us borrow traditional floral cotton coats for free, and even taught us the 'splashing water into ice' trick. When we went to Wusongling (Rime Island), the owner came along, recorded videos for us with their 360 camera, and personally sent them to us. The service was truly superb! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful trip experience in Northeast China. I'll definitely recommend this to all my friends!"

"First, the pros: The villa offers a great view, right above the snow tubing track, which made the kids very happy. Staying in a detached villa also meant it was quiet. The underfloor heating worked wonderfully, keeping it very warm. The restaurant's food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was especially good; other places either charged more or offered smaller, less tasty portions for the same price. On the second day, we went to Wusongling, and there was a guide who was great at getting everyone excited, taught us how to ski, and helped with photos and videos. The 400-yuan ticket was definitely worth it. The owner and their family were all very welcoming! Now for the cons: Upon entering the villa, there was an unpleasant smell, like fresh renovation, though the front desk said it was just the smell of wood. People sensitive to smells might want to be aware of this."

"Snow Valley was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of my trip. The scenery is absolutely stunning—surrounded by snow-covered mountains, clear blue skies, and a peaceful winter atmosphere that feels like a fairy tale. The accommodation was cozy, warm, and well-prepared for the cold weather. Inside, the room was clean and comfortable, with soft bedding and good heating, making it very pleasant even when it was freezing outside. Waking up to snowy views right outside the window was truly magical. The outdoor area was equally beautiful, with unique wooden structures and seating surrounded by snow, perfect for photos and enjoying the quiet nature. "Big thanks to Sister Qiu for always responding to our inquiries and to the boss, Hongbo, for the warm hospitality and care. We had a very comfortable and fun four-day, three-night stay (Dec 27-30) in Snow Valley. The warm beds, hot meals, and enjoying all the entertainment activities in Snow Valley and Snow Village gave our group of four an extraordinary winter experience. At Xiongling in Snow Valley, we tried snowmobiling, snow tubing, skiing, and snow drifting (super thrilling!). **Friendly reminder**: Please wear sunglasses, a mask, and a snow hat. This will help prevent the cold snow from hitting your face when you're snow drifting. The snow hitting your face is incredibly, unbelievably cold! For the Yangcaoshan itinerary, I recommend buying tickets for the horse-drawn sled and taking the snowmobile all the way up the mountain. Hiking would be a very long and time-consuming distance. For the second half, we opted to hike down to Snow Village, and the snow scenery along the way was absolutely spectacular, perfect for photos. You can also buy a small sled to enjoy some exciting mini snow runs on the way down. **The only drawback**: The shower head in the bathroom had low water pressure, so it took a bit longer to shower."

We stayed at Kuolanting Inn for two nights and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by three friendly women. Although language was sometimes a barrier, we always felt well taken care of. The hosts patiently used a translator whenever we needed anything, which made communication smooth and reassuring. Mr. Gang was exceptional. Even before our arrival, he provided us with all the information we needed. He managed all our transportation—from Harbin to Snow Village and back to Harbin—and even arranged our transfers between Snow Village and Snow Town seamlessly. During our stay, he joined us in activities and recorded our moments using his 360° camera, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. The lady who cooked for us was lovely, and every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. We felt full, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Would I recommend this place? Certainly,yes!

This time I came to Xuegu and traveled through the snow village. I rode horse-drawn climbing and snowmobiles. I played snow drifting. I also played in the Bear Ridge. The boss and the boss lady were very nice. I stayed in this homestay for three consecutive nights. The last night was New Year's Eve. The boss lady arranged for the people staying here to make dumplings together and treated us to dumplings. The boss also bought fireworks for us to set off fireworks together. This year, I spent a different New Year with people from different places. The most important thing is that the boss lady's cooking is delicious. You can't go wrong if you come to Xuegu.

The landlady is incredibly nice; she helps arrange everything we want to do. Right outside the door, you can play in the snow, and there are also: Northeastern specialty fruit platters, a traditional sugar-coated hawthorn (tanghulu) making experience, a Northeastern floral padded jacket experience, and a 'splashing water into ice' activity.

This Farmstyle Accomodation was a wise choice when we planned to booked in advanced a place to stay in Snow Village. Snow Village was not so crowded, not commercial style tourism or much lighting woodhouse to take picture as Snow Town, not to pay a overpriced hotel.. as Snow Town. Here was a place of more quiet and peaceful than Snow Town and truly where the northern people of China live. The couple of Host was so Great: they were helpful and friendly! Both of the Husband and the young Wife contacted and instructed or supported everything we needed. If you are going to plan a trio to Snow Village, this host will arrange all for you. We were arranged a lot of outdoor activities in so beautiful mountains and at Farm as well. The location of this hotel was great, the Shuttle bus will pick up and drop you at the front of Hotel for 2 way of from and return to Harbin. Room was spacious,cleanly, kang beds was mordern style, comfortable and heating promptly.Everything was renovated and newly. Meals and restaurant was medium rate and we was happy with it. Endly, I will choose when return or introduce for my friends if they travel to here.

Highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Snow Valley! Nan Nan Homestay has an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the ski resort. After a tiring day of skiing, you can just turn around and head back to rest. The owner is a local and an excellent guide, providing professional service. The attraction tickets they helped us book were cheaper than online, and they even arranged free shuttle service within the scenic area, so we didn't have to lug our luggage around. The rooms are well-equipped with private bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The large kang bed can accommodate 2-4 people, making it perfect for family trips or traveling with friends. The 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) and 'guo bao rou' (sweet and sour pork) at the restaurant are super authentic, with fresh and flavorful ingredients – incredible value for money. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave!

Every day since leaving Xinfu, I've been missing the sledding hill behind the lodge (it was free and unlimited!). The owner even helps guests take photoshoots like 'splashing water into ice' (he took three amazing shots for me 😎) and 'glowing with colors.' He's an incredibly skilled photographer, and those pictures instantly elevated my social media game. They also organized a session where we all made candied hawthorns together. As an extrovert, being able to chat with everyone like that was just so enjoyable! The owner also led the trip to Wusong Ridge, keeping us entertained, taking photos, and even teaching us how to ski along the way. As someone from the south, I truly got to experience the thrill of playing wildly in the snow! And of course, the accommodation itself was very unique, with a traditional heated *kang* bed, ensuring a deep sleep until morning. Waking up to hot porridge in the morning was just heavenly!

Two families with kids stayed at Ding Shu's place for 4 nights. The rooms were small but very clean. The owner mentioned they plan to expand the guesthouse this year. The owner helped us book everything: round-trip car service, tickets, snowmobiles, and horse-drawn sleds. The prices here are standardized, so no worries about overpaying. The owner drove us to the starting point for the horse-drawn sledding. Ding Shu also personally guided us throughout our trip to Wusong Ridge, accompanying us for all activities and explaining how to get down the mountain. We chose to sled down, which was great fun! Ding Shu even helped us take photos and videos! The auntie's cooking was absolutely delicious!!! And seeing that we were a large group, she gave us extra portions, and the prices were very reasonable!! Since we stayed for many days, the breakfast was a bit repetitive every morning. They also had fried chicken popcorn and fries. The milk tea was delicious; I ordered it and coffee every day. The owner gave us lots of great tips for our itinerary. Behind the guesthouse, there's a small hill perfect for playing in the snow, with a slope for sledding. The kids played there all day. This whole area belongs to the owner, and it's not crowded, which was perfect for us. When the kids were tired, needed to use the restroom, or wanted to drink water and rest, they could just go back to the guesthouse anytime – it was right there! How convenient! I think this is very important! We played on Yangcao Mountain and then went to Snow Town. We were so glad we didn't stay in Snow Town and decided that next time, we'd sled from the top of Yangcao Mountain back to Snow Valley. We absolutely loved this area of Snow Valley; it has a peaceful, beautiful charm! If we come back to Snow Valley next year, we'll definitely stay here again!!!

This was a surprisingly great stay! The owner was incredibly welcoming, always greeting us warmly whenever we came and went. Their smile was truly infectious. They even came out to meet us and gave us excellent tips on where to eat, drink, and have fun, helping us avoid any tourist traps – absolutely fantastic! The room layout was very well designed and spacious. Most importantly, it was spotless and odorless, feeling just as cozy as our own home.

As a 'southern spud' experiencing snow for the first time, I was completely charmed by Haitao Inn! The owner helped arrange a carpool from Harbin, which dropped us off right at the guesthouse entrance, so we didn't have to drag our luggage through the snow. The room was clean and tidy, with an independent bathroom that had no strange odors. The heating was so good I only needed a light jacket – no worries about being cold at all. The owner really understood our southern obsession with snow. He took us to a less-known spot on Wusong Ridge for free, patiently taught us how to get those amazing 'water-splash-into-ice' photos, and even used his drone to capture panoramic videos for us. The Northeastern dishes were all delicious, no matter what we ordered blindly – the 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was crispy outside and tender inside, and the 'Di San Xian' (stir-fried potato, pepper, and eggplant) was fresh and flavorful. The prices were reasonable and fair. It felt as comfortable as staying at a friend's house. There were no hidden tricks throughout our stay; the service was thoughtful and genuine. For accommodation in Xuegu, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
