"It is best to reach before 6pm when it is still bright as the old town is located uphill and there are different flights of stairs up. You may end up at the wrong inn if you don't take the correct stairs leading up to the main street. It's also best to bring a day pack and no luggages as the terrain makes it difficult to bring luggages up. The lady boss is very helpful and pleasant. She also provides a simple but hearty breakfast of noodles, porridge and sweet buns for guests. Cat lovers will be in for a treat as there are 3 adorable resident cats. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable, with both heating and air conditioning. The only grouse I have is that the shower cubicle had a missing door so water will splash out when showering. (301)"

The owners are so lovely. Waiting for us at the parking and helo us carry the luggage to the hotel.
The hotel is very new and convenient. The room is pretty big and clean. The water supply are extremely good. Everything you need for your stay, they already provided in the room.
The location is pretty near from the parking. For the breakfast, it is just only 100 meter from the hotel. There is very niche noodle shop on Shi Ban Lu.
I am traveling with the elders. They have difficulty climbing up and down the stairs. For staying here, they can see the view of the river from the room. So they can enjoy staying in the room withing going out.
Event hough the hotel is not the river front, but the view from the room is very beautiful. We have a peaceful and fabulous night here."

"Overall it was good..but there were small hiccups where the customer service was unable to locate our booking and our reserved room was given to another guest. So they upgraded us to a suite with 2 bedrooms.
The hotel is located at the entrance of the village...
The scenery of this ancient village is superb... No regrets visiting this place.."

"The hotel facilities, cleanliness, and service were all excellent, and there's an elevator. The owner and staff provided great service too! The breakfast offered was delicious. Most importantly, the scenery was absolutely stunning! The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the old town, and it's not easy to find a taxi there. Luckily, the owner offers a pick-up/drop-off service, which is paid but reasonably priced. If you stay in the old town, you'd have to walk quite a distance with your luggage and climb stairs. Overall, I recommend this for travelers who want to see the old town's night view but don't want to forgo modern amenities."

The receptionist was very nice and polite; she poured me a cup of tea as soon as I entered. The rooms are a bit high up, so it's quiet at night, and you can see the night view. This hotel is wide enough, the parking lot outside the hotel is quite wide, there are basketball courts and table tennis courts, and there are even special lighting at night. If it is summer, you can definitely exercise.
The sky full of stars at night is the highlight. I have not seen so many stars in a long time. It is especially beautiful and very suitable for the name of the hotel.

GGuest UserI wanted to escape the lively vortex of the city on National Day, and I accidentally found the river cottage, like breaking into a corner wrapped in the gentleness of time, there is no commercial noise, and there is the most simple life. And this treasure homestay, the experience far exceeds expectations, it is definitely a treasure place that will be repurchased!
The environment is a full surprise. The hand-built bucket-style structure Tujia hanging foot building is a live display of non-legacy culture. The room is large and warm (forgot to take pictures) what makes my eyes shine most is that the room is equipped with drying equipment. This intimate design is undoubtedly the most touching humanized details.
Food is the soul color here. Fresh ingredients do not need to be over-recorded, abandon the complicated seasoning, but the most authentic taste to the extreme, each mouth is solid and unforgettable, the aftertaste is long.
The service is warm to the heart. The boss and the staff are very enthusiastic. The boss personally drove us to pick us up and drop us off, and introduced the historical origin of the cottage and the museum in detail. The employees not only patiently answer questions, but also take the initiative to talk to us. There is no deliberate guest manner in the words, all natural enthusiasm; In the evening, we were invited to dance the Tujia waving, and when we stepped with the rhythm, even the evening breeze was wrapped in intimacy.
I think it is a great choice whether it is with family or friends. Eat authentic Tujia cuisine, enjoy the slow time, even the fatigue has been quietly smoothed, really recommend!

YYudoudou、The room in Courtyard No. 6 was fine, the environment was fine, and the service was very good (including the friendly cleaning ladies). However, when we checked out, we took their car to the parking lot to drop off our luggage. The female attendant driving their sightseeing bus took our room key and then told us to take a 2-yuan scenic area sightseeing bus to the South Gate to enter Peach Blossom Spring (even though they could have taken us there). The crucial point is that there are only three sightseeing buses in Youzhou Ancient City, and we waited for a long time (it was very crowded).
My wife, child, and I waited for the sightseeing bus at the North Gate of Youzhou Ancient City for at least half an hour. Our plan was to visit Gongtan after exploring Dayou Cave (later we finally got on the sightseeing bus and saw that their hotel's own sightseeing bus was also going to the South Gate). I must give that female attendant driving the sightseeing bus a bad review. Remember, everyone, never hand over your room key in advance! Once you do, their service is over!!!

FFangfeimengxiang❤️A very good and surprising homestay, very close to the North Gate. It is very convenient to walk directly from the North Gate with a suitcase. It is also very convenient to take the direct bus back to Chongqing. You can get on the bus directly from the archway of the North Gate.
❤️The most important thing is that the boss and his family are very nice. The boss knows everything and you can just ask him any questions. The grandparents are very warm and lovely. When we got off the boat at the pier, the boss asked the grandparents to pick us up in advance. The steps are very high and they helped carry our luggage since we have a lot of luggage.
❤️The problem of uncleanness in the B&B that I was worried about before is totally unnecessary. It is very clean and sanitary. The environment is very nice and romantic. The whole house is equipped with smart appliances. The TV didn't work during the stay. The owner asked his friend to come and adjust it. I was really touched.
❤️One of the special advantages of this B&B is that it provides free travel photography clothes. The clothes in the picture below are provided by the B&B. There are other options. The B&B has created a supporting shooting environment. You can take photos for half a day without leaving the courtyard. Haha
All in all it was very good but unfortunately the schedule was tight, looking forward to next time!

There are many books in the public lounge area. You can play and communicate with other guests in your spare time and make new friends. Gongtan Ancient Town is as beautiful as a painting. The slow-paced life really makes people relax physically and mentally. There are bougainvilleas everywhere in the ancient town. The colors are bright and beautiful, and it is super beautiful with the green river water. And the lady at the front desk is really super gentle and nice.

The room has a small balcony with a deck chair to sit on the balcony to enjoy the wind of Wujiang River and the scenery of the ancient town. The boss's family is very warm and down-to-earth. Breakfast includes porridge, soy milk, buns, siu mai, fried dough sticks, eggs and pickles, etc. There are not many varieties, but it is warm and comfortable to eat, suitable for the elderly. I stayed for another night and changed from a standard room to a king-size bed room. The difference is that there is a big bathtub in the room. There is a gas station downstairs, and parking spaces are a bit tight.

KK P geNavigation Inn drives directly to the side of the road on the back uphill, you can park, it is very convenient. There are many rooms in the inn and the price is reasonable. The location is excellent, you can travel to the entrance of the ticket inspection of Taohuayuan. Finally came back and took a 2 yuan battery car. The ancient city of Zhangzhou is an antique building. Because I wanted to rush to the next stop, I didn't stay overnight, so I checked out and left.

GGuest UserWe took a boat from Wanzu to Gongtan Ancient Town. We could see the inn when we got off the boat. We contacted the owner in advance and he received us warmly. Since we booked a room on a better floor, the owner took us to the inn by elevator from the South Gate Visitor Center. The inn has a good location, a large room, and a separate balcony. It's nice to drink tea and chat on the balcony at night.

She told us how to get there from the city, and let us ask her if we had any questions. She also helped us buy ferry tickets, which were cheaper than buying them ourselves.
