"We stayed for two nights as a family of three and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nuodeng. We’ll definitely be back! The Guesthouse The guesthouse is run by a lovely local Bai family—everyone pitches in, and all were warm and welcoming. The young lady managing the place was a fantastic host, always attentive and happy to accommodate our needs. Grandma was just as friendly! Our three-year-old had a great time playing with their toddler, some neighbourhood kids, and other guests in the spacious twin courtyards. The whole property is tastefully decorated—traditional charm with a modern twist. The Rooms We stayed in one of the older family rooms, set slightly apart in a quieter courtyard. It was clean and peaceful. The newer rooms near the main courtyard are brighter and more contemporary—some even offer sweeping views down the mountainside. The Food The on-site restaurant is excellent and arguably the best value in Nuodeng. Breakfast noodles were delicious, and many dishes featured Nuodeng’s signature cured ham. The cooks were happy to adapt dishes to suit different tastes—less salt for our child, vegetarian options, and more. Surprisingly good espresso, too, at very reasonable prices. Nuodeng Village Perfect for travellers who enjoy slow, exploratory travel. There aren’t many must-see landmarks, but there’s a short scenic hike to an old temple, meandering stone stairways, village animals (great for kids), and a handful of cafés and restaurants. You will never be disappointed if you come to Nuodeng to live in Suishan. By the way, their dishes are also delicious.
