"Honestly, this hotel was a bit of a letdown. The first room was incredibly small – so small you couldn't even open a 20-inch suitcase anywhere but by the door. There was no desk, and the bedside table was comically large, also doubling as a clothes hanger. There was a friendly Chinese lady at the front desk, which was a plus. However, in that particular room (I forget the number), there was an inner window that not only wouldn't open but faced directly onto the hallway, so you could hear every little noise. Not ideal if you're sensitive to sound. Also, they provide no toiletries whatsoever; you have to bring everything yourself. On the upside, the location is convenient. Turn left out of the hotel for a supermarket, and turn right for the sea. It's also an easy walk to the Rainbow Street in the city center. Secondly, there's the price. In Iceland, where hotels typically start at 1,000 ISK, finding a place for around 900 ISK with a private bathroom is rare. It's suitable for budget travelers or those on daily tours who don't spend much time in their room. One more thing: luggage storage costs money, around 5 euros, and requires a QR code payment. I tried to pay with cash, and the front desk guy seemed quite flustered, like he wasn't used to it."

"The location is convenient, especially for tour pickups!Additionally, the shared bathroom facilities were reasonably well-maintained by the guests. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room fell short of basic hospitality standards. It was evident that the pillowcases and bed sheets had not been changed prior to my check-in, as they had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, there was no way to resolve this issue over the weekend. The front desk only operates Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00 This limited schedule is quite inconvenient for weekend guests, leaving us to handle maintenance issues entirely on our own. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I hope management addresses these housekeeping and customer service gaps for future guests."

"Excellent budget hotel. Good location couple of things to note probably @ Trip.com fault not hotel Your booking doesn’t guarantee “free parking” you only get that if booking direct. Trip falsely advertise free parking. Also there was a surcharge to pay at check in approx 800 krona again trip won’t disclose this. For these reasons I avoided booking through trip my next booking. Hotel was excellent and good fresh breakfast."

"This room includes access to the hotel’s spa, so you can go for a soak anytime. The spa is quite interesting — it has both indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna. The whole area is very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. Because of the heavy snow, I had no choice but to stay an extra night and added this room with spa package last minute(last room). When I stayed at the room earlier, I chose a cheaper rate without spa. but honestly it doesn’t matter — you can just add it when you arrive. It costs 3700 ISK per person per stay, and you can use the spa as much as you want. If you’re staying three nights, adding just 3700 ISK for unlimited access is actually a great deal and definitely worth trying. Location is more towards the other end of the main street so expect to walk like 20 minutes to the most interesting part of the city. Right opposite of the hotel is a place with different food stores, is a relatively cheaper (like 3500 isk per set) place to eat. There is a Thai food restaurant too (like 2600-3500 range ...but😅😅😅) Just note that you need to bring your own toothbrush, the soap shampoo is provided and slippers are only available in the spa room which has a bath tub and size a bit bigger."

"This hotel is located right in the heart of Reykjavik, making it super easy to walk everywhere. The self check-in was smooth – I had a little trouble opening the door at first, but a quick chat got an instant response and help. It's really convenient not having to carry a key. The room was spacious, with a big window and bright lighting, making it very comfortable. Having a fridge, kettle, and even a coffee machine was a nice touch. The shower pressure was excellent too. I also loved the discount at the neighboring bar, where I could enjoy beer at happy hour prices. Bus stop #6 was the closest, and while it's a bit uphill, it's definitely walkable. Plus, there's an elevator, so heavy luggage isn't an issue. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay for the price. Highly recommend it!"

"The staff of the Hostel are very responsible to solve problems for the guests. There are washing machines and dryers, and the charges are reasonable. ISK2000 is cheaper than some hostels, but the location is a bit far away from the city, and it may be inconvenient for those without a car. There is a very comfortable common area. There is also a hairdryer in the common area, so you don't have to worry about making noise to other guests at night."

"This stay was, to put it mildly, a bug-infested lesson. I stayed for 4 nights. The first two nights were fine, but on the third night, things went south – I started getting bitten by bugs in the room, resulting in red spots all over my body. This wasn't just me being sensitive; these were clearly visible bites that required photographic evidence (which I did take, of both the spots and the bugs). What's even more outrageous is that this wasn't an isolated incident. I later found out that previous guests had reported similar issues, indicating that the hotel has a long-standing problem with hygiene and pest control, rather than a one-off accident. After the incident, the hotel's solution was to arrange a room change. The problem is, what had to happen already happened. The room change felt more like going through the motions than actually solving the issue. Due to hygiene concerns, I personally disposed of some of my clothes and shoes, essentially paying extra for this stay. To summarize: * The room has a pest problem. * Hygiene management is questionable (and seemingly a long-term issue). * The response was delayed and inadequate. * The guest had to bear the additional costs themselves. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, you might gamble on it; but if you don't want to use your body as a test subject, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel."

A once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service. We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Iceland is a unique place on Earth, but almost as surprising as the geology, geography and weather was just how remarkable and excellent this hotel was. Its location was outstanding right in the old city centre and an easy walk to boat trips (for organised bus trips, which all use the same bus stop numbering, the nearest bus stop is number 5, about 5 minutes’ walk away), the breakfast was splendid and the room was unbelievably cosy, which was particularly welcome after a winter’s day adventuring amongst the ice and snow and especially the epic and cold wind. This once-in-a-lifetime trip was made extraordinarily special by the outstanding and attentive staff who really impressed with their thoughtfulness and commitment to excellence throughout. We cannot thank the whole team enough, both everyone we met as well as everyone who worked behind the scenes, for delivering a world-leading stay. We felt exceptionally lucky to have chosen this hotel, and so delighted that we did!

This apartment-style hotel is really great. Remember to book in advance, you can save a lot! You can cook here, and all the kitchenware and laundry facilities are available. There's a microwave, perfect for heating up some instant meals! There are two beds, and the bathroom is also very spacious. Check-in is conveniently located right across from the apartment building. You can ask the front desk for some disposable toothbrushes, which is a nice touch. They also store luggage for free. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!!

Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik. Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble. But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room. But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food. I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. Both were great. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff. My trip got rebooked and i had multiple correspondence with the staff and they were always prompt and reassuring. The only downside of the whole stay was my room. I got a corner room which had a slanted corner shape, meaning a triangle cut off from a rectangle. Though nicely laid out, i felt claustrophobic as the room size was much smaller. That room is not ideal, especially if not solo.

Close to the BSI main bus station (airport bus drop off) about 10-15min walk. Self check-in is possible if you arrive late in the evening. You will be given the passcodes for entrance to the building and also to the rooms. You just have to contact them. As for my room, I stayed in a single bed. It is small but all good. It has its own sink which is pretty useful for doing skin care. It also has cabinet and table and its own room heater. Toilet and shower is just outside the room. Every floor I think has its own T&B. Second floor has the kitchen and dining area. You can cook or prepare your own food here. They offer breakfast for 7euros. I didn’t try this tho. Coffee and Tea are free all day. The closest grocery store is a bit of a walk, about 10-15mins or 950m far. Also, same for the restaurants. Overall, this is very good value for money. It’s cheap for Iceland standards. I stayed for three nights and had no complaints.

Service provided by Ginta was excellent! Initially we were assigned to a room on the 3rd floor, which would have been impossible for us as there was no elevator and we had two big luggages. Ginta was very helpful and accommodating to our request, she called her manager and helped us to change rooms to the first floor. We also had to leave early by 7:30am the next day for a tour, but breakfast officially only starts at 7:30am. Ginta helped to arrange and ensure we had breakfast before we left. Location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to bus stop #8 and Hallgrimskirkja church. It was also easy to walk to Rainbow street, Laugavegur and other attractions.

1. It's located outside the main city area of Rayong, and we had to circle a few times to find parking when we arrived at night. 2. There's a washer and dryer, but the dryer isn't very efficient. What made it worse was that even with everyone waiting in line, the staff insisted on drying a huge pile of dishcloths needed for the next morning. This caused the dryer to keep restarting, and we ended up waiting until 2-3 AM for our turn. 3. Breakfast variety is okay. 4. The room size is decent, but you can't open four large suitcases at once. 5. The room door is really odd; you have to slam it shut with a lot of force for it to lock. Overall, it's a hotel I'd be willing to revisit.

I checked in at 2 a.m. at night. I'd mentioned it in an email, but that wasn't necessary because the front desk is open 24 hours. I was checked in very quickly. The room was spacious, but even if it's a four-star, it doesn't feel up to European standards. The room was actually quite good. Large, well-designed, and had a comfortable mattress. I saw someone else's hair on a throw pillow, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, it was fine. Would I choose this hotel next time? If I had other options I've stayed in in Reykjavik, I'd choose them. But only because the rooms in this hotel actually look older.

Maybe it is my fault for expecting hotels in Iceland to have little to no, if not relatively poor service as a whole, but my booking issues with them, the communication leading up to the stay and overall interaction with staff was next to none, Save for the on-site staff that I got to bump into, it's pretty much non-existent. The Booking itself, alongside a mistake with the app, and the hotel refusing to offer direct communication, and lying throughout the whole ordeal when it came to ”calling back” was literal hell. That being said the say was, fine? It's a place to rest, that's all I can say. The breakfast was definitely pathetic, but like the first statement it might've been my fault for expecting something substantial,. Definitely don't get the breakfast, don't use the hot coffee/cocoa machine since it's broken or unfilled half the time. Seek out amenities at the grocery stores nearby instead.
