"I stayed at the Atagawa Onsen Hotel Blue Ocean with two friends for three nights. The room was really spacious and clean, and it even had two sinks in the bathroom. Facing the ocean was so refreshing! Breakfast was good too. The hotel provides a shuttle service between the hotel and the station, though it's only about a 1.2km walk. For three people, the price was incredibly good value for money. Highly recommend!"

"A really nice resort hotel. The room was spacious, and the private onsen bath was very clean. The peculiar smell was likely from the tatami mats. We had the hotel's set menu for breakfast but didn't have dinner at the hotel. The supermarket next to Izu Kogen Station offers abundant sashimi, enough to eat your fill. The photos show the places we visited during our stay, and it was all very relaxing. Having seen some less favorable reviews, let me share my own experience. The hotel's occupancy is highly seasonal, so there might not be many staff members, but they all provided attentive service. During our stay, the station pick-up and drop-off service was always well-arranged. When I'm on vacation, I prefer to relax and not be disturbed, so I opted out of daily room cleaning. I've stayed at some older Japanese-style hotels, similar to those in areas like Shikoku's Oboke, and this level of service is pretty typical. Of course, perhaps I just haven't visited enough Japanese resort hotels to generalize. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. Don't set your expectations too high, but it delivers on all the essentials for a relaxing getaway."

"The hotel is not far from the station, about 5 minutes walk down. The clerk can speak English and did not meet the Chinese clerk. The hotel is a traditional Japanese-style room, very clean and comfortable. There is a pick-up station service, because there is no large luggage, so I don't use ～ The hotel's hot spring water is nearly 100 degrees of source water, and the private soup in the room needs to be cooled to adjust the temperature. The public open-air private soup temperature is suitable, equipped with a steam room, so it is not used in the morning. Breakfast and dinner are very rich, upgraded dinner with beef barbecue, the dishes are delicious, really full! After watching the day in the morning, I went out to the hot springs and cooked the hot spring eggs to bring back to the hotel bibimbap. It was a very special experience. I recommend it to friends who want to come to Izu to play! !"

"The sea view is unbeatable, and it's a 5-6 minute walk from the station. They offer a shuttle service to the station upon checkout, by appointment. A centipede ran into my room... but they changed my room when I requested it, which was fine. I stayed for three days, and the breakfast was decent. The service was typical Japanese, meaning you couldn't really find any fault with it. The biggest surprise was on the day of checkout: there was a huge typhoon in Izu, all trains were stopped. While we were feeling helpless at the station, a hotel front desk staff member arrived! They told us that because we had previously booked a shuttle, they were taking us to the larger Izu-Kogen station! I was so touched! That's truly Japanese service, solving an urgent problem! Overall, it was really good!"

"The hotel provides a pick-up service from Izu Jiudadama. The shuttle bus is on time. I am not afraid of not finding the hotel at night. I booked a Japanese-style room for four people on the same day. At that time, the waiter has prepared the tatami bed, but there are fewer restaurants nearby! But go to the 27th Nanyidou cherry blossom and rape flower festival at night cherry blossom spot and bamboo lantern spot about 10 to 15 minutes away!"

"Stayed from Oct 2-4. **Environment**: Right by the sea, you can see the ocean as soon as you open the curtains, with waves crashing against the rocks. The balcony is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. The window insulation is superb; when you close the windows at night, you can't hear the sound of the waves at all. This hotel seems to be the closest to the sea on this street, and I absolutely loved the location. **Service**: The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle service to Inatori Station, with several departures to the train station daily. The shuttle is clean and tidy. **Dining**: The Japanese breakfast and dinner were very standard, exquisite, and abundant. The portions were so large that I couldn't finish any meal. **Hot Springs**: The public hot spring area has many different pools, each with a different temperature. There are complimentary cold drinks and ice water available at the entrance to the hot spring rooms. **Details**: Both the hotel rooms and public hot spring rooms provide facial cleansers and skincare products, all by POLA. There's also hair treatment oil available for use. Each room comes with complimentary snacks, and the 'Sakura Ebi no Mai' (cherry shrimp crackers), a specialty of Shizuoka Prefecture, are delicious. Before leaving, I bought POLA skincare products, 'Sakura Ebi no Mai,' and 'Kinmedai Miso Soup' (red snapper miso soup) from the hotel's shop. **Unexpected Surprise**: Upon arrival, I was informed that my room had been upgraded. My room's balcony came with a private hot spring bath, which was absolutely fantastic! I could wake up in the morning and soak in the hot spring while listening to the sound of the waves. For everything else that words can't convey, just look at the pictures. In short, if I go to Izu again, I will definitely choose this onsen hotel."

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Ittouan. The experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They noticed us from far away and immediately came to help carry our luggage. One of the staff members, a lovely young lady who spoke excellent English, was especially helpful and made communication very easy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but I would like to thank her again. We booked both dinner and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the variety was impressive. Every dish was different and beautifully prepared. However, for two women like us, the portions were honestly quite generous — even sharing one meal between two people might have been enough! The location is excellent. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Kawazu Station, which makes it extremely convenient for visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is also very close to the beautiful coastline, so the surroundings are lovely. Our room had a private onsen bath where we could soak while enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, which was a truly special experience. There is also a larger private bath available by reservation (free of charge). We also tried the hot stone spa, which was incredibly effective in relieving the fatigue after my marathon. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. "This hotel is perfectly located right by the sea, offering a fantastic environment. Transportation is also quite convenient, with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and Kawazu Station. The breakfast was just okay. If you plan to have dinner, it's definitely best to book in advance. We didn't make a reservation this time and ended up being turned away by both restaurants because they were full. There was nowhere else to eat nearby, so we had to resort to instant noodles."

"Perhaps it will be useful for someone to know more about the location of the hotel. I searched for options by filter for the city of Ito, but this hotel is not there at all. Nevertheless, I do not regret that I did not change my plans and came here. Izu no Ne and several neighboring hotels are located approximately in the middle between the onsen of Atagawa and Katase. You can get here both by local trains with transfers and by the comfortable express Odoriko. And if Ito, where I initially wanted to go, is a lively resort, then this is an excellent option for those who, on the contrary, want to get away from the city. Nearby, in Atagawa, there is a sandy beach where, depending on the season, you can swim. In September it was very warm, although there were decent waves. The Japanese-style room is clean, cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, spacious. The panoramic window overlooks the sea, and the windows face east — you won’t see sunsets anyway because of the mountains, but sunrises in all their glory are guaranteed. I can’t compare with other ryokans, but in terms of service, of course, everything is excellent. Be sure to book with meals — breakfast and kaiseki-style dinner are no less tempting and interesting a reason to come here than the hot springs. By the way, about the springs: there are both public (men’s and women’s separately) and private baths, indoors and outdoors (also with a sea view). A private bath on the roof must be booked in advance at the reception (at no extra charge), and although I’ve been there a couple of times, it was more convenient to just go to the public one whenever you want. The baths are closed at night and during the day from ten to three for cleaning. It seems that these onsen in general and the hotel in particular are not very popular, and few people come here, but it’s a shame! I would gladly come back here again."
