"Drove over directly after checking out of Fairfield by Marriott Minamiyamashiro. Both hotels have the same layout, same design, same room themes but Amanohashidate has got a better location that is more accessible. Rooms were standard, modern, clean and very comfortable. Food options were aplenty. Stayed here so that we could drive to Ine easily. Food recommendations nearby were superb, free coffee in the lobby was a treat. Service was top notch and everyone could speak English! There's a little snack and souvenir corner at the hotel lobby where they sell ine no Funaya magnets for cheap and it's really nice. Really love the open concept room designs giving so much space and light. Fairfield by Marriott never disappoints with their value for money!! Breakfast was at a nearby restaurant just 5 minutes walk away, recommended by the hotel, for cheap and good grilled fish!"

"The sea view room I booked was not big but had a big terrace. The dinner included in the room was very good, but I was still a little uncomfortable with the Japanese breakfast, but it was very exquisite! It's not far from Amanohashidate Station and the cable car. There is an express train from Amanohashidate to Kyoto at 9:50 every morning. You can also take this bus to Osaka or Kobe by going to Fukuchiyama to change buses. Although the price is a bit more expensive, about 900 yen per person, it's worth it to catch the 11 o'clock bus to Kobe!"

Both sides of the hotel offer sea-view rooms. Check-in took a while, but they gave us a lot of snacks and free-flowing beer."

"The location is very convenient. There is a slight downside of needing to go to the other building for showering, and there is no elevator, so don't pack too heavy. But again, the location alone makes up for all of it, and it was a very comfortable stay overall and I would consider staying again if I ever get the chance to do another visit."

"The location is super convenient. After exiting Amanohashidate Station, it's less than a 5-minute walk to the inn. The inn itself is clean and tidy. We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room, which was spacious with two beds, and even offered a lake view from the window – a truly tranquil setting. The public bath was very clean, and the toiletries were excellent; I even bought their exclusive Tabi Biyori facial cleanser.
The only downside was the lack of a milk vending machine. After a bath, I really wanted to buy a bottled milk, but there was none available. We stayed for two nights and booked Kaiseki cuisine for one night and Western food for the other. Surprisingly, the Western meal was a pleasant surprise! Breakfast was a decent Western and Japanese buffet.
In summary, the location is fantastic, making it very convenient to visit Kasamatsu Park, Viewland, and Ine. It's definitely worth coming back to stay here again."

There is a public toilet with a hot spring pool. You need to pay a 150 yen hot spring tax for bathing. The breakfast is pure Japanese style, so you can feel full. Take the Dankai Bus from Ine or Amanohashidate, get off the Nishihorikawa River, and walk 200 meters to get there."

"1. The room rate was incredibly expensive, over HKD 10,000 per night for a family of four, but it felt absolutely worth every penny!
2. Our room overlooked the river, offering a peaceful and beautiful view.
3. The semi-open-air private onsen (hot spring) was huge, easily accommodating three adults at once.
4. The 'one-night, two-meals' package was fantastic; every dish was exquisite, and dinner even included seasonal snow crab!"

"Very good hotel, although the location is a bit remote, but the environment is very good, right by the sea, the small balcony in the room faces the sea, the room is also very large, the toilet, bathroom, wash basin are separated, do not affect each other, the hotel has a public hot spring bath, open from 4 pm to 11 pm, and from 6:30 am to 9 am the next day. The front desk service is thoughtful and very professional, and they also take the initiative to ask guests if they have any questions. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal, and dinner needs to be booked in advance (we couldn't add it after we arrived in the afternoon), so we couldn't experience the dinner delivered to the room, which is a little regretful. Overall, it was a very good stay."

"Hotel location is very good for self driving travelers. The hotel is a traditional building with very good service. The staff are friendly. There were two issues due to our room location. One of them was our room located next to the public toilet. When we passed through the toilet going back to the room, it was a bit smelly. The second issue was the guest making noise by stepping around upstairs during the midnight. Other than that, the hotel itself is fantastic."

Incidentally my room was facing east and towards the bay, so I could catch the sunrise. At 530 am I could see the buildings across the bay waking up. The room given to me was very big, could easily fit a family in there.

游游This hotel is very historic and clean. If you can't live in Amanohashidate, it's pretty convenient. It's about 15 minutes walk to the train station. There is a department store nearby and there are many restaurants upstairs to choose from. The breakfast is Japanese, simple and delicious. The counter clerk can speak a little English, so communication is not a big problem. The toilets are shared and very clean. Most of the guests are Japanese and very polite.

WWAI YIThe owner and his wife are nice and the service is good and the breakfast is delicious. The hot spring is in the store. I stayed for one night and soaked twice. The two soups are different in the morning and evening. The indoors are soaked in the sea. The surrounding environment of the hotel is good.

GGuest UserWe booked a Japanese family room and we arrived about 6:00 pm. Our room was on 3rd floor, when the lift door opens, a strong fishy smell. The corridor were not air conditioned and it was hot. Our room is at the corner, had a stale atmosphere. It still summer and weather is incredibly hot, it would be helpful if the staff had prepared the room and cool it before we arrived. AC is not working well, the room was still not cool when we slept. We could not rest well. The mattress & bedding were not comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Overall it’s not worth a night for SGD423.

Helpless geographical problem, if you drag luggage, it will be very convenient, by the flyover standing to go to a long road is extremely difficult.
A male person in charge and a mother-in-law in the store are not too friendly, but the mother-in-law with glasses is excellent.

GGuest UserWonderful hostel! The girl on the reception is most helpful and friendly. It is 7-10 minutes from the bus stop, partially uphill, but the breathtaking view from terrace is worth it. Dinner and breakfast is substantial and tasty, free tea and coffee all day long. In the bathroom they have a small but nice sento!

GGuest UserThe location of Sakamotoya is simply amazing. Just turn left from the cruise ship terminal at Amanohashidate Station. Across the road is the bus stop to Ine, and there is also a cable car 🚡 to go up the mountain for sightseeing. Bought a two-day pass to completely save the cost of travel. After arriving, we stored our luggage by ourselves and then went to Ine. Checked in after 3 o'clock, the owner had already prepared tatami in the room on the second floor. The room was spacious for 4 people. The first floor is the public area. The toilet is at the end of the second floor. The bathroom is very Japanese with a hot tub and the water temperature is very warm. In short, I am satisfied.
