"It's an old hotel, but it's well-organized.
Free hot springs are provided when staying, and the sulfur hot springs are really nice and warm.
It's a 7-8 minute drive from Chikugo Oishi Station, but there are no taxis at the station, so it would be better to request a pick-up service in advance. They'll call a taxi for you if you request it.
Everyone was kind, so I had a great trip.
If you want to feel the atmosphere of Japan without Koreans, I highly recommend it!"
Fairfield by Marriott Fukuoka Ukiha is located adjacent to Michi-no-Eki Ukiha on Onobara Plateau, which offers a magnificent view of Chikugo Plain from our Fukuoka hotel. This area through which Chikugo River flows, is known for at least one variety of fruit in-season and known as Kyushu's three main noodle producers. Enjoy a relaxing, effortless stay at our Fukuoka, Japan hotel.
"Room size is good. Free parking. Carpark is big. Next to it is a small local market. Very quiet environment. Free drinks are provided at lobby area which is good... cosy place for meals. Definitely need a car as nearest supermarkets and cafe/restaurants are 10mins drive away."
Since ancient times, Ukiha has made use of the abundant, high-quality groundwater that springs from the mountains and the power of the water of the Chikugo River, Kyushu's largest river. We offer a stay that allows you to experience the "story of Ukiha" that has been nurtured by the blessings of water, and the "craftsmanship of Ukiha" that originates from that story, and to immerse yourself in the life of Ukiha, which is supported by water.
"The ryokan cum hotel is located in a historic town dating back to the Edo period, however, this building is only 106 years old consisting of 5 rooms. I stayed at the one with beds upstairs by way of access via a steep flight of stairs, definitely not for elderly. The room was nice and clean, heating and cooling by split type aircons, bathroom with a wooden tub, no TV. Reception unavailable after 6:30pm, if you want anything after that, WhatsApp them. Since the hotel is located right on a major road, therefore, it was extremely noisy all the time with road noise. Difficult to get a decent sleep. Breakfast was served at another location, about 8-10min walk to a 160 year old building. Food was yummy and service was attentive. A nice experience overall, but for the price I would choose another one where it's in a quieter location."

"This is my second visit. I often visit Ukiha because I like the countryside scenery when I go on business trips. There are many other hotels around, but the reason I use Hanakeshiki is because of the cost-effectiveness. The hotel seems old and outdated, but it has many advantages.
The hot spring water is really good and the staff is friendly.
The food is reasonable for the price. The surrounding scenery is nice, especially the sunset.
However, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the convenience store or mart around, so if you don't want to walk, you can use the shuttle or rent a bicycle from the hotel.
The price is reasonable because it was cheap compared to the hotels around, and I judged it to be good cost-effectiveness, so I can't recommend it to those who expect the best service.
When I talked to other people while eating, the common thought was that
The hot spring water is really good, the facilities are old, and the price is cheap, so it's okay.
I think I can go again next time. Thank you."

"Very very friendly and the rice is so delicious
The hot springs that change location every day are the best !!
Open-air bath is the best!!!!
The only downside is that it's too rural.
Please check the train timetable before you go!"

"Advantages, small price can be booked to private hot springs, staff service is thoughtful
Disadvantages, the room is old and has an old smell, a parking 2 meals, breakfast is better than dinner, but the overall taste is light, no m2 food will be unforgettable."
