"This hotel is right next to Tromsø Airport, and there's an airport bus stop just outside. The bus ride itself only takes about 5 minutes, 😂 but the ticket costs over 100 RMB, which felt a bit steep. It's perfect for late-night arrivals, especially after a long 10+ hour journey; you can get to the hotel and rest quickly after landing.
The environment and facilities are pretty standard, on par with most hotels in Norway.
Service gets a thumbs up! I managed to snag a free coffee from the front desk when checking out in the morning.
Since the hotel is a bit away from the city center, there's less light pollution, and we were incredibly lucky to see the Northern Lights right from the rooftop terrace!"

"The views are incredible – from my room, I could see the Arctic Cathedral and the cable car. The location is excellent, and I was very satisfied with my three-night stay.
However, the cleaning service was a bit of an issue. For consecutive nights, they don't clean by default, and you have to book cleaning a day in advance. When we first entered our room, there were cleaning tools and dirty cups left by the cleaning staff. We put them outside our door, and they weren't taken away until noon the next day (I suspect the cleaning staff only works between 12 PM and 4 PM).
Towels aren't changed unless you go to the front desk to get fresh ones; nobody comes to change them for you. I understand the Nordic efficiency and the 'eco-friendly' approach, but considering the average daily room rate of around 3500 [currency, presumably NOK or equivalent], it's a bit disappointing. Of course, the price isn't the hotel's fault; all hotels in Tromsø have seen huge price hikes, and I heard it's much cheaper in the summer."

"Great location, not far from the center of the town and not far from the best restaurants! nice repeptionist! there is only one bathroom and one shower on each floor, which can be too little at times. Worked out for us tho!

"This was a great location slightly out of the city to catch the Northern Lights without going on a tour (we saw it two nights out of five! Cabins were well kept and clean, we were two adults and two teens and there was enough space for everyone. It is 10mins walk to the bus stop to the city, of 40mins walk across the bridge to the city, both of which were manageable for us. Note that there aren’t many restaurants nearby. All in I was extremely happy we chose this place for the Tromso leg of our trip."

"The room was small, and there were very few power outlets. The USB socket on one side of the bedside was broken, but I was able to borrow a power strip with three outlets from the front desk, and they told me there were more outlets under the bed. Without that power strip, there would only have been two outlets plus one USB port available by the window.
If you leave early, the hotel front desk offers a simple breakfast, which was decent. During normal breakfast hours, gluten-free options are also available.
The shower stall in the bathroom was very small, making it a bit awkward for a woman to shower comfortably. The floor tiles in the shower had a steep slope for drainage, so I had to really grip with my feet to avoid bumping into the right-angled, double-door shower enclosure.
The front desk staff member who checked me in on the first day was quite good; she informed us that the aurora would be very strong that night and the next, advising us to keep an eye on the sky."

Location: Absolutely central, convenient for getting anywhere. Close to the shopping street, the station, and the hotel itself is a hub for many tours and activities.
What I didn't expect was how dry it is here (compared to the UK).

"El hotel está bastante alejado del centro de Tromsø. La parada de autobús para ir al aeropuerto está a 10 min. Parece poco pero si está nevando y llevas mucho equipaje hay que ir con tiempo porque las cuestas tienen hielo.
Cuando entras, es una maravilla. Han renovado las zonas comunes y es súper bonito.
Pero al entrar en nuestra habitación doble.... No estaba renovada. Es la habitación más pequeña en la que hemos estado en 8 días por la zona. La puerta no está en buenas condiciones. El baño parece de ”un hospital”. Para nuestro gusto la cama y las almohadas son incómodas. Las paredes de la habitación tampoco están en buen estado.
Cuando fuimos a desayunar parecía otro hotel. La cafetería con vistas panorámica era preciosa. Y el desayuno tipo buffet estaba muy rico.
Nos choca bastante la inmensa diferencia que hay entre las zonas comunes y la habitación."

"Basic hotel but you have the essentials. It is clean very close to the main street where all the shops are located. The breakfast buffet is very simple but you have a little bit of everything. You always have tea or coffee available in the hall if you feel like it. They also have a parking service in the back, it is fair but it gives you the service, I used it and although it was an ice rink at least you know that your car is ok since parking on the street is mission impossible and everything is pay."

GGuest UserThe room has a living room that is quite big, the living room has a sofa bed, the dining room kitchen is connected, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, which is quite good.
There is a supermarket seven or eight minutes walk away. It is very convenient to buy things and cook them by yourself.
The only downside is that if the living room wants to sleep, the curtain is not wide enough to block the lights outside, and it is a bit bright at night.

TTurkmenbashiAn unpretentious but comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location in central Tromso (the third photo is the view from the hotel window). Highlights include the friendly staff (a shout out here to the ever helpful Petter), tasty and healthy breakfast, and comfortable sitting areas that mean you don't have to hang out in your room.
Given the quality of the hotel it is surprising - and highly annoying - that they don't provide kettles in the room (I even offered to pay a deposit), the more frustrating because some photos on the site show coffee machines: so some rooms do have these facilities. The selection of toiletries is also surprisingly meagre - no shower gel for example, which seems unnecessarily cheapskate. My other gripe is that they need more individual tables in the breakfast room: finding a space at a long table feels reminiscent of youth hostelling...
With these shortcomings noted, the hotel can be recommended and is good value for Tromso.

GGuest UserThis hotel is at the waterfront right in the center of town. It offers excellent value! Afternoon tea, buffet dinner, breakfast and free tea/coffee all day are included in the price. There's a sauna on the 5th floor together with a small gym. A jacuzzi is available for a small fee. Bus 42 from the airport stops just behind the hotel so it's less than a min walk to the reception. The staff are friendly. The room is clean and quite spacious. Best value in town! I'll definitely stay here again.

If I had to make a suggestion, it would be that you need to use a card to lock the door, which is not common in other hotels, and it is easy to close the door and leave. In short, it was a very good stay experience

Ttsun hitsujiGreat hotel for it's price. Especially when tromso is such an expensive city. Like seriously expensive. The check in process was seamless and quite convenient. A passcode is sent to me prior to arriving and I just needed to key that in. Only problem was that the hotel was located on the top of a hill. So it was painful trying to get to it from city center.

EEddie LowOur best stay for the trip. The room is very big, clean and fully equipped. Good location, walking distance to the ferry terminal and 15 mins by bus to the airport. The bus stop is just the next street of the apartment. Shopping, groceries, eateries are all nearby. Lucky to see the northern light on the first night outside our apartment. Strongly recommend all to stay when you are in Tromso.
