"I booked this hotel for my first and last day in Lhasa, and the service was absolutely fantastic! When I arrived, a security guard helped me with my luggage. On the day I left, a staff member saw I was in a hurry to catch my flight and helped carry my bags and saw me off. The hotel is clean and hygienic. Since it was my second time staying, the front desk小姐姐 (a polite way to refer to a female staff member) even upgraded me to an executive room when other rooms were available, which offered a view of the Potala Palace. The experience was truly amazing!"

"Satisfactory aspects: The room was nice and had ethnic characteristics; the hotel's location was excellent (we had a travel companion with mobility issues); the service and communication were very satisfactory (there was a third-party system error with another platform regarding room extensions, but the front desk staff were very patient in communicating with them, and the receptionist, Yangji, provided excellent service; the overall service quality was also very good); the breakfast was delicious and we were very satisfied; the room cleaning was also satisfactory. -- The only unsatisfactory aspect was: the toothbrush bristles were shedding. After rinsing my mouth, 5 or 6 bristles got stuck between my teeth, and I had to stop and pull them out while rinsing. (Bringing your own toothbrush solved this problem.) -- Suggestion: If possible, if the hotel renovates again, it could add features catering to younger travelers (such as self-service laundry and a self-service bar). -- There are attractions downstairs, and you can walk to Namased Restaurant. "Pros: Hotel staff are friendly and the location is close to the main tourist district and the Potala Palace. There are restaurants available near the hotel. One thing was that I communicated with the front desk staff to not disturb me the next morning and that I will let them know when they could clean the room coz I was exhausted due to high altitude sickness and unable to sleep throughout the night, however, the cleaning staff banged on the door at 12 noon asking if they could clean the room. When I booked this hotel on Trip.com, it says also includes one afternoon tea per day, and I booked 9 nights. It turned out isn't true and was not told until I asked the front desk. The hotel staff only responded that in fact the afternoon tea has been cancelled since Dec 2025 and did not provide anything else. With this incident plus laundry only allows 5 pieces/day and doesn't wash inner wear like socks/underwear. I honestly feel that there are a lot more other choices at this price."

"1. Please note that most of the superior king-size rooms have interior windows, and some have exterior windows. 2. The recommended accommodation is Yutuo Road, which is very convenient for walking to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. 3. There is a humidifier and diffused oxygen generator. Please note that the altitude is 0 for normal working condition. 4. To the right of the Bank of China entrance, there is a nice supermarket and fruit stand. 5. I found long hair on the bed. Did you see that I was traveling alone and sent a beautiful girl to have sex with me while I was away? 6. It is recommended to live on the Yutuo Road side so that you have a chance to see the Potala Palace. 7. Breakfast is simple but filling, and the dishes I cook are different every day. "This was one of the most satisfying hotels on our Tibet trip. The entire place had a very distinct and local character. When they found out we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a room with a terrace and a bathtub. Our butler, Tsering Dhondup, brought our luggage to the room and gave us a very detailed and thoughtful explanation of everything. He also set up a group chat, and his responses were always prompt. The hotel owner has excellent personal taste; guests receive a complimentary hat and a collection of Tsangyang Gyatso's poems. The mini-bar and snacks are restocked daily, and a 'goodnight drink' is provided every evening. We went out sightseeing on the night we checked in, and were pleasantly surprised the next morning to find that they had even set up a table and chairs on the terrace. The hotel offers a wide range of activities from morning till night. We participated in a sound bath session, which was a unique experience. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lhasa."

"I stayed at this hotel in Lhasa for several consecutive nights! What I loved most was the super spacious Tibetan-style courtyard on the first floor. I was absolutely mesmerized the moment I walked in! You can dine, enjoy sweet tea, afternoon tea, pet cats… In short, it’s perfect for leisurely spending time in Lhasa. The hotel is right on the Barkhor Street kora path, just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple! I heard this used to be the Nepalese Consulate 400 years ago, and now it's the Gesar Japo Museum! Carvings, murals, and antique objects are everywhere. Exploring this heritage-listed ******* ancient building truly feels like stepping back in time. Upon check-in, there's a traditional Hada presentation. The staff are so warm and helpful, even assisting with luggage. They also offer complimentary ******* traditional clothing for photos. In the room, there's a special high-altitude welcome kit: facial masks, hair essential oil, makeup remover wipes, and more… so thoughtful for female guests! The hotel offers a self-service breakfast. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, truly a master of creating a wonderful atmosphere! 🏡"

"This was my first time in Lhasa with three elderly family members. The hotel's facilities were quite complete, and although it's a bit older, it's well-maintained. The service was warm and friendly, and we were very satisfied with our stay. When we arrived, the staff at the entrance proactively helped us with our luggage. Yesterday, one of the seniors experienced some altitude sickness, and when we returned to the hotel, the front desk attendant kindly provided an oxygen tank, which effectively alleviated their symptoms. I was so busy looking after them that I forgot to take any pictures of the hotel."

"Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark!
