Gili Trawangan Hotels with Airport Shuttle

"We were pleasantly surprised upon check in, as we did not expect a island hotel could be so clean and bright. Everything was functioning well. Except the TV, because it’s a nice big TV that is not connected to any source. Not sure whether it’s just us or the entire hotel. Breakfast is decent. Our only dissatisfaction is that we smell cigarettes smoke during our first night. We alerted the reception and we were asked to leave our doors opened for a few minutes to ventilate the room, and then to cover up the smell with air freshener."

"JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST HOTEL. While the hotel's facilities are adequate and its location offers acceptable proximity to the port, the poor service we experienced did not justify the significantly higher price we paid for a supposedly four-star resort. Specifically, the bidet in our assigned room was not functioning. When we reported this, a front office supervisor named Ute was demonstrably dishonest, claiming that all rooms had non-functional bidets due to a 'western style' and offering more toilet tissue as a solution. This excuse proved false when we checked several other rooms of the same type and found their bidets to be working perfectly. Upon confronting Ute with this discrepancy, she continued to deny her initial statement, offering unreasonable excuses and failing to provide any apology or resolution. It was only after escalating the issue to the Manager on duty that we were finally moved to another room with a functioning bidet. The fact that a HOTEL SUPERVISOR LIED to keep us in a room with a known issue while others were available is unacceptable. Despite the convenient location, I cannot recommend this hotel due to the substandard service and lack of transparency. There are likely other establishments in the area that offer a far superior experience for the price."

"Don’t believe the pictures in the advertisement! They don’t reflect reality. The pictures pretend that the hotel is at least a 4 * location. The truth is that this is not the case! It is located at a very poor area in mid of the island where local people burn their trash including plastic. The smell is disgusting it is everywhere, in your room also during night and it burns in your eyes. The hotel is run by a group of very young unprofessional boys and I would like to emphasise that they are really friendly, kind and helpful and try to do their best. They also prepare breakfast in a kitchen which is disgusting! Therefore, I preferred to have breakfast at a proper place even though breakfast was included. See the attached fotos to get an impression what expects you and better choose another hotel if you want to enjoy your holidays. I had to pay 400 € for 3 nights, it is not worth half the price. I tried to get a reimbursement but the hotel didn’t accept. They obviously see the hotel as a cash cow and not a place where their guest should feel comfortable. This was very frustrating! At the end Trip. com accepted my complaint and offered me help. My advice: Choose a hotel at the beach, there are so many!"

"Great villa for a romantic getaway. The villa is beautiful, great private pool, well equipped kitchen to cook as well, bathroom was spacious but hope they can change the hairdryer because its too slow, friendly and helpful staff. All in all a super great stay! The cons would be the location of the villa its a bit in the inland of the island about 5-7mins bike ride from the jetty / town centre, walking can take upwards to 15mins so do rent a bike right away when you arrive at the jetty or you could ride the horse carriage if you’re not bothered by the white people none sense. When at night the roads can be dark so make sure to bring flashlights and when it’s raining the roads can be a bit muddy."

"We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children. The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first. I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home. We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit! Best, Ryan Lisha Dec Mel"

"В этой вилле было прекрасно почти все, особенно мелочи, создающие комфорт: уединенное расположение, наличие стиральной машины (прям очень нужная вещь), своя кухня, яркие цветущие деревья, белки, довольно чистенько для Индонезии, свой дворик, где можно оставить на ночь байк на зарядке и обмыть со шланга ноги от песка, НО… Одно «но» очень сильно испортило мне отдых здесь: когда мы уже заехали, чтобы в мой день рождения провести время с удовольствием, оказалось, что номер на следующий день забронирован (якобы на трип.коме не выставляется блокировка номеров). Руководство виллы не придумало ничего лучше, чем предложить съехать нам, уже заселившимся, в какую-то гостиницу. Мы отказались, договорились, что с нами свяжутся до вечера, если вдруг не удастся решить ситуацию. 11.10 с нами никто не связался. Зато 12.10 в 8 утра, когда я проснулась в прекрасном настроении и с планами отметить свой юбилей, мне пришло сообщение о том, что нам надо съехать в 10 утра. Честно говоря, меня накрыла истерика (много факторов было и до этого, которые сказались на эмоциональном состоянии, этот просто добил). И вот, благодаря руководству этой виллы, я час проревела вместо радости, потому что потом, когда я указала, что планирую переехать завтра на другую виллу и соглашусь съехать только в случае замены этой виллы на запланированную, проблема отпала!!! И хоть вилла мне очень понравилась, но такое отношение оставило прям совершенно неприятный отпечаток((( Из минусов: все сутки слышно шум насосов, а в 4:30 ночи начинает кричать мулла на весь остров, что слышно очень и очень сильно. Тем, кто спит чутко, прям не рекомендую, тк материалы дома не глушат звук вообще (на вилле, куда мы переехали, материал домика лучше и глушит практически весь звук). Из советов тем, кто решит остановиться тут: не заходите в белом купальнике в бассейн, станет голубым."

"Пока это лучший отель за все пребывание на островах. Уютный и тихий, несмотря на близкое расположение к барам. Если не любите подниматься по лестницам, то лучше выбрать другой отель. Завтраки не сильно разнообразные, но в целом не плохие. Персонал вежливый и исполняет любые пожелание. Нам очень понравилось."

"We spent 4 nights at Jambuluwuk, was a really nice hotel and the rooms were spotless, however the pool areas weren't maintained very well- i know nature can't be helped but other resorts in Indonesia have staff cleaning the pools regularly to keep them looking nice. The pool bars never seemed to have staff there and overall the pool areas could just do with a bit of a refresh. Our 4 year old daughter did enjoy the play play park and animals arouns the resort. It was pretty expensive for bike rental (most places give free bikes in Gili for guests) and being on the quieter side of the island this was disappointing, especially as when I asked for a child seat I was told they only had one which was already being used (and would cost extra). You can however rent bikes for around 50k a day if you walk just outside. Mask rental was also fairly expensive compared to other places so would recommend just walking down the road a little bit. The beach om the front of the hotel is nice, good for sunset and snorkelling. For the price we paid we were happy but probably wouldn't stay again because of the distance to the busy area/ pools not being maintained."

"## Amenities: The facilities are complete. The only downside is that toothpaste and toothbrushes weren't provided. Since I was only staying one night and hadn't brought any, it was awkward not being able to brush my teeth in the morning. ## Cleanliness: Very clean, with a strong disinfectant smell. The outdoor shower is private, with no tall buildings overlooking it. There were some small ants and lizards among the greenery around the private mini-pool. ## Environment: The island is quiet and safe. The hotel entrance on the island is easy to find. In the evenings, there are small pubs on the island with a romantic atmosphere. The grilled corn is absolutely delicious, brushed with coconut oil, subtly sweet and fragrant – about 12 RMB per cob. Breakfast is served by the sea, looking out at the blue ocean, which put me in a great mood. ## Service: The staff at the front desk were very enthusiastic, helping with check-in, carrying luggage, and giving safety tips. We were three people, and they promptly added an extra bed, neatly made up, all with big smiles and a warm, friendly attitude."

"Very beautiful place in front of the beach with an excellent staff and service. People are warm and very helpful if you have any questions or need any help. The rooms is clean and cozy. The room for 2 is a bit small I will say, might need to choose a bigger option if you like having a bit more space. I will add that I thought it was a bit dark and missing some daily light inside. The bathroom outside with open sky was good until the rain and wind were too strong to actually use it. The environment around the hotel is very peaceful and not too busy compared to the center. You can easily rent a bike and go to the center at any time if you want. Very convenient. You have a very good restaurant next door with great selection or food and beverages as well."
