"My experience at the Shangri-La Hotel was excellent. Both the service and cleanliness were top-notch. A special thank you to our butler, Nina, for her exceptional service! We had booked a Horizon Club room, but upon arrival, we were initially directed to the Qingxiang Pavilion. Nina proactively added us on WeChat and personally escorted us to the Horizon Club for check-in. Learning that we were traveling by car, she took the initiative to register our license plate, telling us to relax in our room first and informing us that parking would be free during our stay. This made entering and exiting the parking garage very convenient, saving us a lot of hassle. During our stay, Nina would ask for our preferred time daily to deliver fresh fruit to our room. She also thoughtfully provided special Qingdao local beverages, which I absolutely loved. This really allowed us to experience the rich local culture of Qingdao, greatly enhancing our trip. When the hotel conducted a voltage check, Nina promptly messaged us to remind us and assured us there was nothing to worry about, showing incredible foresight. When we checked out, we had a lot of luggage. After I explained the situation to Nina, she immediately arranged for a bellhop to help us bring our bags downstairs. She anticipated every need throughout our stay, making the entire check-in process incredibly smooth. The service was warm and attentive. I truly love the Shangri-La Hotel in Qingdao; it's a benchmark in the industry!"

"A hotel truly dedicated to its theme! The in-room minibar offers Laixi Coke and Baihua Snake Grass Water. The lobby provides complimentary craft beer from 9:00 to 22:30, with different flavors rotating daily, plus free ice cream. The lobby boasts a beautiful German style with wheat and malt decorations and beer barrel seating, which is quite distinctive. The warm yellow lighting is very soothing, and the breakfast buffet is abundant. Overall service is excellent! The only thing that negatively impacted my impression of the hotel was the breakfast restaurant staff. Several female servers gathered together to clean tables, and their chatter was louder than the guests' dining sounds – this happened for two consecutive days. One server even dragged a butter knife back and forth across a table. Seeing her do that instantly put me off my breakfast. I hope they can improve the overall quality of their staff. Other than that, it's still highly recommended!"

"I brought my friends to Qingdao again, and I'm incredibly satisfied! 👍 First, let's talk about the accommodation. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room at the Westin, and the room was bright and spacious. The bathroom facilities were complete, quiet, and odor-free. The air conditioning was adjustable and not too noisy – these were all significant improvements compared to my stay at the Westin in Shanghai a few days prior. Next, the service. The customer service lady proactively asked about my needs, and all my requests – for a quiet room, far from the elevator, and a large room – were met, not just formally. The cleaning auntie was also very enthusiastic and available whenever called. Then, the hotel's location is just perfect! It's within walking distance of key attractions, and for further places, the subway entrance is right outside. It's also very close to Joy City, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient, with excellent service to boot… Most importantly, Qingdao now offers free subway rides for seniors over 60, which is a thoughtful and touching gesture! I am very pleased with my hotel choice, proud to recommend this trip, and absolutely full of praise for Qingdao! 👍🌷"

"It's a modern replica of an ancient town, I guess. The room layout is pretty standard. The hallway from the front desk to the rooms is really dark, day and night. It's a bit spooky walking alone at night – couldn't they make the hallway lights brighter? Plus, there's not much to do nearby. The 'ancient town' is practically deserted during the day, and it doesn't get much livelier at night either. ╭(╯ε╰)╮"

"Room: Excellent! The view from my room was fantastic, and it was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Environment: The location is great. It's within walking distance of the senior bathing area and very close to the sea. Service: This was exceptional, especially from Elly. As the Guest Relations Manager, she was incredibly thoughtful. She gave us a comprehensive introduction to everything in advance and met all our requests regarding the room. Many thanks to her! Facilities: Overall, they were excellent, especially the gym, both in terms of ambiance and equipment. Suggestion: I hope you'll consider allowing food delivery directly to rooms or implementing robot delivery. Many five-star hotels offer this nowadays, and asking guests to pick up their own deliveries feels a bit outdated for current service standards. Everything else was perfect. In summary: As I told Elly, I'll definitely be staying here every time I visit Qingdao."

"The hotel has its own beach and infinity pool, which is convenient for children to play in the water and change clothes. The day before check-in, the housekeeper Wanwan contacted me to confirm my itinerary and needs. Her service was warm and patient. Our room was arranged on the 10th floor of Building 2, not far from the lobby elevator, and the balcony had an excellent view. Thanks to Wanwan. The Lalu's spatial design is very open, echoing the vast sea. The room is large, and the balcony is long, making for a very comfortable stay. Although there are some signs of age, the room is very clean and odor-free, which shows that a lot of effort goes into maintaining it. The controls for lights, curtains, and air conditioning are conveniently located in three places: on the desk and on both sides of the bed. The towel rail has a heating function, and holding a warm towel instantly lifts your mood. Including bathrobes, the room is equipped with 16 hangers, which is incredibly friendly for families with young children who play in the water. Coupled with the large balcony, there's ample space to dry all your clothes. The hotel's showerhead, though simple, has clear directions for switching between handheld and overhead, so there's no guessing or fumbling. The disposable slippers have thick, soft soles, feeling like you're walking on clouds. The entire room feels understated and solid, not trying to show off, but simply providing guests with a simple, peaceful, comfortable, and leisurely stay. In the evening, there are bonfires and a BBQ on the beach, where you can enjoy meat and dance while watching children search for shellfish. During my stay, I tried the dinner buffet at ”Eleven Kitchen.” If you don't want to leave the hotel, this is a good option, with a rich variety and good taste. The hotel's color scheme is rich and deep, and the decorative choices are unique, yet the extensive use of transparent glass design keeps all areas of the hotel bright and inviting, not intimidating. The elevator does make a noticeable sound when arriving at a floor, which is a bit unusual, but it aligns with the overall understated style of the hotel, so it's not alarming. Some online reviews are simply exaggerated. The Lalu Qingdao is an excellent hotel and well worth experiencing."
