Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, living up to its reputation as a luxury hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with European-style decor. From the balcony, you could see the ocean. The hotel is just across the road from the seaside boardwalk, perfect for a stroll. Wheat Island, a popular网红 spot, is less than 2 km away on foot. Breakfast was incredibly lavish; there was no way to finish it all. The buffet dinner was also quite impressive – again, so much food, couldn't finish it all! You can't take too much at once, as it gets cold quickly. Service was excellent. There were staff to help with luggage, turndown service, and even someone to wipe down cars. I didn't bring my child this time, but I'll definitely bring them back. There are lots of entertainment facilities for kids on the B1 floor that we didn't get to experience.

I chose to visit Qingdao because of a hotel – I was so captivated by the Beer Time Hotel that it became my reason for coming here. This trip was a family outing with my mother, and we stayed in the full sea-view suite that had initially caught my eye. I absolutely loved the design of this room type. From the living room, the bar, the bathroom, and the full sea-view balcony directly facing the ocean, every design detail won me over. My visit to Qingdao was solely for this hotel, so naturally, the experience was undeniably excellent. Of course, what I loved most and found most interesting was that the hotel placed two beer taps in the room. You could just turn on the taps at the bar and in the bathing area to pour fresh beer. It was incredibly novel and fun. The beer was very fresh, with a shelf life of only 24 hours. There was so much of it that you could keep pouring and never finish it – a joy that can only be understood by experiencing it yourself. Qingdao truly embodies its beer culture in every single detail. The beer in the bathing area was grapefruit-flavored, sweet and sour and delicious, and there were even beer hop bath bombs. The entire room was full of beer-themed elements, which was super thoughtful. The hotel is located at Golden Beach in Huangdao District, which is the main venue for the Qingdao Beer Festival. You can walk to the large beer tent in just a few steps, so the location is uniquely excellent. The hotel service was also exceptional. First, we received three welcome drinks, complimentary beer ice cream, and unlimited drinks at the bar on the first floor. They also gave guests many discount coupons. These hidden perks were like grand surprises, multiplying the enjoyment of our stay. For example, the two free beer coupons and the 50 RMB gift coupon for the Hapi Duck Trendy Toy Store were genuinely free – no strings attached. For the toy store, you could simply pick up 50 RMB worth of items, not one of those deals where you have to spend 199 or 299 RMB first to get 50 RMB off. It was a genuine 50 RMB voucher for goods, truly honest. But what I want to highly, highly praise are the three complimentary professional photo shoot services provided by the hotel. Honestly, I initially felt indifferent about such photography services and didn't pay much attention to them. We have our own professional equipment, and I have very high standards for photos. Because we travel and take photos frequently, I've managed to train my husband to a pretty professional level among amateurs. So, I even thought the photo shoot might be a bit time-consuming and that it wouldn't matter if we canceled it due to time constraints. But! Who! Knew! This travel shoot ended up producing some of the best photos of our lives. There were virtually no bad shots; every single one was perfect. I loved them so, so much. All 37 photos left both my mother and me full of praise. At 10:30 AM, under the bright sun, I didn't think good photos were possible, but the results were unexpectedly excellent. On the rooftop, the red-roofed houses, the coastline, and our smiling faces were captured in each frame. The photographer was a young man; I forgot to ask his name, but he was exceptionally good at taking photos and guiding our poses. I was stunned when I saw the final pictures. This travel photography service should definitely be continued – it left us with wonderful memories of our entire Qingdao trip and immortalized all the beautiful moments. A very special thank you. Upon arrival, the welcoming receptionist kindly upgraded me to a generous room. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel also provided complimentary welcome amenities, including beer, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. seasonal fruit. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with convenient smart-room controls. Additionally, the personalized housekeeping service managed via WeChat was both attentive and highly efficient. The daily buffet breakfast and evening light bites were equally impressive and delicious. However, I did encounter a couple of drawbacks: Location: As a non-driver, the hotel's location proved somewhat inconvenient, requiring me to rely entirely on taxis to get around. Smoking Policy: I was concerned to see guests smoking in common areas, particularly while waiting for the elevators. This inevitably forced fellow guests and staff to inhale secondhand smoke. Furthermore, placing large ashtray stands beside the elevator banks on every floor implicitly encourages this behavior. I strongly encourage the management to consider implementing a smoke-free policy in all indoor public spaces for the health and well-being of both guests and staff.

The room faced the sea with a fantastic view, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. 👍 I was traveling with my mother and child, and the hotel upgraded our room type, which was very much appreciated! The hotel's dinner buffet offered great value for money! The seafood was fresh and there was a wide variety, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel's buffet for 3 consecutive nights. It was so convenient not having to stress about finding a restaurant. The hotel's backyard connects to a seaside promenade, perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, we saw many people fishing, catching huge mantis shrimp and blue crabs. It was wonderful to enjoy fresh seafood right by the ocean!

A special shout-out to Xiao Jia, whose service response was incredibly prompt. She proactively added a bed guard for my baby. Because I'm sensitive to noise, she thoughtfully arranged a quieter room for me on the second night. The breakfast selection at the Qingweiliao restaurant downstairs was extensive, and you can also order lunch and dinner there; the food was delicious and didn't have tourist-trap pricing. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, being very close to Lover's Dam for the light show and Torch Pier for ferry rides.

The hotel is nowhere near as luxurious as the pictures suggest. It looks quite old in person, even for a relatively new hotel. It has a very dated feel. All of the deluxe king rooms are located near the runway, and the sound of planes taking off is incredibly loud. There's no way you'd get any sleep at night. I eventually asked the front desk to change my room to a twin room on the terminal side, which was much quieter. The layout and size of the twin room were quite suitable. Although the hotel has a dedicated tunnel connecting directly to the airport, it's a very long walk, about 10-15 minutes. Personally, I don't think the deluxe king room is worth over 400 yuan at all. The room felt cramped and old, and the bedding had a smell, possibly of disinfectant.

Arrived late at night, no need to travel far. The hotel service was extremely polite, making me feel very safe. The service is becoming more and more thoughtful, and my child loves it too; there are even facilities for kids to play, which is rare. Given its large scale, the hotel could consider offering childcare services similar to Club Med. A kids' play area with soft play structures, slides, and a ball pit would be a great addition, allowing parents to relax. There was no buffet available. With such a large property, inter-departmental communication seems to be an issue. The information provided by the housekeeper for the 1928 Beer Bar's dining options was incorrect. After checking out, the housekeeper asked for a good review. I provided some suggestions, but the housekeeper, 'Dabaitu' (Big White Rabbit), never replied. It feels like the service in northern China is often a 'do-it-because-my-boss-told-me-to' mentality, and any extra requests from guests are seen as an inconvenience. I really liked the breakfast buffet where many of the attendants were older, creating a very harmonious atmosphere, like being cared for by parents while away from home. The breakfast selection was extensive. There are two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Cat petting costs 19.9 for children and 29.9 for adults, with single entry and unlimited time. Feeding animals costs 10 yuan, which includes one portion of feed. **However, if you write a good review for 1 yuan, you get fewer carrots than the 10 yuan portion. The animals seemed a bit pathetic, with the little horse constantly kicking the wire fence.** There are two swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. The buffet at the 1928 Beer Bar is more Western-style. Many people might not be used to it. We tried it, and the quality of the desserts was excellent! There's a beach right behind the hotel, with some rocks, but not too many. You can go tide pooling in the early morning and at night. It's too hot during the day due to strong sun, and there isn't much seafood to find then either. The package included access to the Haiquanwan Hot Springs, but I must mention: it was dirty. There were no tissues or disposable combs in the hair-drying area (only a few scattered combs for everyone to share). With this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel's location is indeed a bit remote, making it suitable for self-driving. There's a Shandong University cafeteria and museum nearby, which I'd give five stars!
