"My stay at the Chao Hong Ji Intercity Hotel in Shantou exceeded my expectations. The high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the Inner Harbor, with a spectacular night view. The entire room featured smart controls, and the facilities were brand new and comprehensive. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, with exceptional attention to detail. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom design was well-thought-out, and the mirror even had an anti-fog function, which was a fantastic touch. The staff were polite and responsive to requests. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, including authentic Chaoshan delicacies. The hotel environment was quiet and elegant, and its location made it very convenient for getting around. I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shantou!"

"Plans change unexpectedly. My trip to Jieyang was switched to Shantou, and I booked the Shantou Imperial Hotel on Trip.com just half a day in advance. This isn't my first time staying here; it's a well-established five-star hotel, close to the high-speed rail station and not too far from popular food spots. After booking, I quickly contacted Linna, the butler I'd added on WeChat previously, to arrange a pickup from the high-speed rail. She responded promptly, asking for my train number, arrival time, and the number of people (very reliable!). She told me to just keep an eye out for her call upon arrival. To my surprise and delight, she also arranged a free room upgrade. Plans truly do change. While waiting at Puning high-speed rail station, I was informed that my train would be delayed by about 40 minutes. I contacted Linna immediately to avoid having the hotel car wait unnecessarily, but she informed me that the hotel's pick-up vehicle had already departed. She instructed me to look for a staff member in a red uniform upon arrival. I actually felt a bit bad about the delay. Once the train arrived at Shantou Station, as I exited the gate, I saw a sharp-looking young man in a red uniform standing at the exit, looking directly at our train's exit. We made eye contact instantly. He politely asked for my surname and confirmed some basic check-in information, then enthusiastically helped us with our luggage and guided us to the parking lot to get in the car (it felt quite fancy having a dedicated escort! 😜). During this time, he even called the driver to move to a more convenient pick-up spot to minimize our walking distance. After a few twists and turns, we finally arrived at the hotel. We quickly checked in, dropped off our luggage in the room, and began our culinary adventure. Given that it's an older five-star hotel, I must admit the facilities are a bit dated. The room also had some older fixtures and a faint smell of smoke. While the air conditioning seemed to help, an air purifier would have been even more effective in improving the room's scent. On a positive note, the water pressure in the room was excellent, making for a very comfortable and refreshing shower. The next day, when I contacted Linna to arrange a ride to the high-speed rail station, she was very proactive in communicating and coordinating with hotel management, even though our departure time was quite early (outside the hotel's normal shuttle hours). In the end, she ensured we arrived at the high-speed rail station safely and on time. To sum it up, while the hotel's hardware might not be the absolute best, the attentive and thoughtful service from the staff truly surprised and impressed me. This kind of warm service makes every guest feel genuinely cared for. For future stays in Shantou, I'll most likely choose the Imperial Hotel again. Such excellent service undoubtedly makes every guest feel comfortable and at ease."

"Hygiene: I am particularly dissatisfied with the hygiene. There is a damp carpet smell when you come in. This kind of carpet is very unfriendly to guests with allergies. There is even cigarette ashes left by the previous customer on the carpet. Service: Although the hygiene is very poor, I gave feedback to the customer service department and they immediately came to vacuum the carpet. This is not bad. Facilities: Because the room had a strong damp smell, I turned on the air conditioner all night. The air conditioner kept making strange noises and I kept being woken up. I couldn't sleep at all. I originally wanted to change rooms because of the air conditioner, but I thought about moving to another room after vacuuming the carpet and smelling the musty smell, so I couldn’t bear it."

"The hotel's location is very convenient, and the service is professional and patient, especially from front desk staff Roshan and Jzhyo. They provided excellent service and even gave us a free upgrade. Before we left, we needed help mailing something, and they were very responsible and followed up promptly. The food delivery robot is also safe and user-friendly. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in the area!"

"第一次來汕頭，對比了很多家選了這裏。酒店交通便利，走路到美食街、萬象城都超級方便，我從揭陽國際機場坐大巴來的，走過來也不遠。打車可以定位到旁邊的ARKclub。前台小哥哥服務特別熱情周到，辦理入住效率高，還貼心地介紹了周邊的美食。房間非常寬敞，採光也很好，衞生方面是我最注重的，能達到我的要求，每個角落都乾淨整潔。尤其要誇誇他們家的床品，柔軟親膚，枕頭的高度也剛剛好，一覺睡到天亮，晚上房間也很安靜。滿級好評，下次來汕頭還住這裏。"

There is disinfectant in the toilet. But the service is not good. For a hotel worth several hundred yuan, apart from the two bottles of water provided, if you want more bottles of water, you have to pay for them. It is very uncomfortable. The most important thing is that the breakfast is very bad. The standard breakfast dishes for 30 yuan only have 4 kinds of small pickles"

"Had a fantastic stay! The location is super convenient, close to the shopping district. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent, so I slept really well.
