"This hotel is incredibly convenient for trips to Grand Indonesia, Thamrin City, and Plaza Indonesia. It's a mini-hotel with a strategic location. My only minor criticisms are that the bedsheets had quite a few stains and the towels weren't fresh-smelling, in fact, they had a slightly damp odor. The bed was large, but the middle part wasn't very comfortable because it felt like two twin beds pushed together to form a double. The security staff were friendly and efficient, and the reception and room service were also welcoming. The room was cool with a perfectly functioning air conditioner. Please keep serving Excelso coffee; you don't find that in many other budget hotels. Overall, it's a decent budget hotel near Grand Indonesia."

"This is my first time booking at this hotel and I stayed for 3 nights. It feels like a 3.5 stars hotel but they claim to be a 5 stars hotel. If you follow my reviews you'd know that I rate, review and critic honestly and professionally. At this hotel I got the Bulgari Suite. I'd the suites was 4.5 stars, customer service is 5 stars, but the hotel I'd place it a 3.2 stars based on followings: - Reception: very friendly, helpful, polite and customer service is a 5 stars hotel experience. The customer experience manager and Flo are highly trained and professional. That was above excellent because of those 2 ladies. - Lobby and vibe: I wouldn't give it a 5 stars because this hotel honestly isn't 5 stars. It's clean but outdated, it feels like a 5 stars lobby from the 1980s if even. - Rooms: depending on the room you book. If you book the standard rooms, you'll get a a 2.5 - 3 stars feeling (not 5 stars). If you book middle - high range rooms, you'll definitely get your money's worth. All rooms are moderately specious (30 - 45 sqm). Rooms are clean, beds are also clean with fresh smelling pillows and they are well prepared and feel right at home. - Restaurants & Cafes: the breakfast includes standard Continental, Western, Local and East/Soutth Asian and Middle Eastern (a bit of everything). The food quality isn't close to 5 stars (it's NOT the fault of staff), the quality isn't there to claim 5 stars. Plates, glasses, cutlery are stained (NOT from staff), it's because of the dishwashers they use mostly outdated. Also worth mentioning, the quality of guests isn't 5 stars (no political correctness), guests cut lines, poor table mannerism, loud laughing etc. The hotel attracts a below middle class guests. - Gym & Pool: the gym is excellent, they have a smith machine, cable machine, dumbbells, free weights and cardio machines. Typically everything you need for a workout. However, they close at 7pm (unless high season) because they saving power as described on a sign in front of the gym. So, gym and pool, close at 7pm to save power. - Location: you're close to Chinatown and relatively to the airport and Ancol, and everything including tourist places are within 15-30 min drive from the hotel. - The Hotel in General: I've visited and reviewed close to 500 hotels throughout the years and I can say that for this hotel claim 5 stars is a very long shot. A total renovation would even put it a 4 stars. - Summary: you'll definitely get your money's worth at this hotel if you book the Bulgari suites. Otherwise, not worth it if you're looking for a 5 stars stay. I'd take my hat off for the staff, I respect and highly rate each of them, but the hotel itself I'd place it at 2.5 stars. However, if you don't care about the 5 stars claim, this hotel would be good for you. I liked being in the room, gym, pool, chatting with the amazing staff, but disliked everything else about this hotel. Poor foid quality, 2 stars guests quality, not a location I prefer, the restaurant hygiene is poor, the lift is slow, weekend sometimes they have events and the whole hotel feels like a Sunday market with low quality guests. Therefore, my issue with this hotel is they claim a 5 stars that isn't provided by any ISO or anyone but the hotel itself and maybe government connections as such behaviour is common in South East Asia. Lastly, would I go back? No!"

"Great location, close to the train station coming from the airport and right next to the subway. Big shopping malls are within walking distance. During my stay, some floors were being renovated, so there was some noise disturbance during the day. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms. The rain shower head is old and splashes water everywhere. The sink is outside the bathroom, and its design makes it easy to splash water out if the faucet is turned on too high. Breakfast was decent, with some variety each day, and available until 10 AM. The lighting was too dim; I prefer brighter. There's no master control for the lights, so you have to turn each one off individually."

"A quirky city centre hotel, built to be ”arty”. From the hotel's exterior to the guest rooms the artiness shines through. Design aside this hotel is well placed in the city centre - although it is still about a 20 min walk to the subway. Great features are the 24hour bar/restaurant in the lobby which serves great food and cocktails. There is also a rooftop bar (BARTS) for those who like city view. A view is one thing you don't get in the rooms, which was of an empty adjacent building. The rooms are small (not a lot of room if you have a lot of luggage) but well equipped - good shower- The vibe/design means that they are a little dark but that just improves the sleep quality. A nice touch is free water in designer glass bottles. There is an art gallery on the mezzanine floor and the installation behind reception is funky. The Arthotel is cool"

"Was a lovely hotel to stay in. My room could’ve been a little cleaner just in the tiny details like corners of shelves and the bathroom screen. However they checked me in early, offer a free ice cream/ ice lolly on arrival and the rooms were lovely. Not sure about the transparent pool though! I felt very self conscious being directly above the lobby!"

"The hotel is huge and grand, definitely five-star worthy. It's very clean, and the room layout is excellent, probably recently renovated. It's also very quiet. The service is top-notch; staff open doors for you when you enter and exit, and greet you with 'good evening' with a smile – truly exceptional emotional value. The price is great too. I didn't book breakfast as it was a bit expensive, but I might try it next time. The only minor drawback is that the shower is a bathtub, which isn't very convenient."
