"One of the sole hotels super close to the city center with a pool and gym included although that is outside of the hotel building and actually belongs to a gym chain. You can enter for free as a hotel guest. The hotel is a bit of a labyrinth but once you understood the layout, it works out nicely. People are friendly and service is good. You are not here for the views though :D"

"First of all, I'd like to thank the staff, who were always very friendly and helpful (there's even a WhatsApp messaging service for requesting information or services). The hotel is in a great location and is a new property, with modernly designed rooms that are spacious and equipped with multiple electrical outlets, perfect for charging your devices. The beds are really comfortable and the bathroom is a great size; I loved the kettle and the coffee machine with its various options, and I found a fresh bottle of water every day. Honestly, I would have liked to try breakfast at least one morning, but paying 150 euros for the room, spending 60 euros for two seemed a bit excessive. However, I understand that these are market dynamics and the price is probably fair. To be honest, I was kindly suggested to check the app to book it at a lower price (here on Trip, if I remember correctly, it was 23 euros), but after a few attempts, I couldn't find it and gave up, lol. Obviously 10/10. That being said, I thank and greet the staff once again for their helpfulness and kindness."

"Because the plane was four hours late, arrived at the hotel after midnight, the staff was still waiting, the elevator was broken, and the staff sent the suitcase to the room and felt very warm. The room I stayed in was very quiet, the windows were large, full of sunlight, and the trees outside the window were shaded, which was very suitable for rest. There was a surprise for breakfast, gave a menu, let yourself order, make it now, enjoy delicious meals. On the day of departure, I left the hotel at 6:50, the staff sent the suitcase down, and packed the breakfast in advance, and my heart was warm."

"The toilet and shower room are separate, so if you want to wash your hands, you have to go to a different room. There's no bottled water in the room; you have to get it from the water dispenser in the hallway. I was on the 12th floor, and the water dispenser was broken, but no one answered when I called, so I had to go to the 11th floor to get water."

The hotel exudes classic elegance, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must go to Daniel, the bell boy, whose dedication to guest satisfaction went well beyond his duties, setting a remarkable standard for hospitality. The hotel's layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation effortless for guests coming and going throughout their stay. Its pristine cleanliness and classical architecture create an atmosphere of refined luxury that perfectly complements its historical surroundings. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. A truly commendable establishment that I would heartily recommend to fellow travellers."

"Stayed for 3 nights in early September 2025. The hotel is located near the old town which is very convenient for sightseeing, as most of the places are within walking distance. It is refurbished from an old bank and retains the charm of the former building including a nice lobby which was previously the banking hall. They also have a vault with a bar within. The room was comfortable and had all the basic amenities including a safebox. They have USB charger built in as well. Wifi was fast. The hotel also does have a swimming pool in the basement with wet and dry sauna facilities. The old town is right behind the hotel. Staff were professional and I managed to have slightly early check in thanks to a trainee lady (I did not catch the name) who took time to helped look for available room."
