"love every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices.

"The hotel is still good even though it is an old hotel. The food for breakfast is not much and limited. Maybe I will only stay here once for breakfast. It is hot in the elevator because there is no air conditioning. Hopefully the hotel can invest in air conditioning in the elevator. I will bring a group to Semarang but because of the breakfast and the elevator, this hotel may not be my choice."

"We booked two rooms. When one of the rooms, the AC was not cold, called the receptionist, and was responded to well. An hour later, the room was cold again. Breakfast is quite varied."

"It was an awesome experience in Aruss. I would like to commend the very helpful employees, everyone was so nice and welcoming.
Hotel is near supermarket making it really convenient on buying your food or late night snacks however, its quite far from malls and other landmarks. During ramdaman, it took us few minutes to book a taxi, whether gojek or bluebird and the fare rate shoot up when non-peak hours.
I would appreciate if the pool is heated and if the sauna will be placed outside the gym.
But all in all, I love my stay in Aruss hotel and I will definitely comeback."

"The service was friendly and efficient. This is a budget hotel, so I can't really complain too much. However, overall, the room wasn't tidy. There was a door in the room, I'm not sure if it was for pipes or electrical, but usually, those are outside the room. The sealant around the sink was poorly done. When I checked in, the sheets and pillows were yellowish – I'm not sure if they had been changed. But the service was good enough; they quickly changed them when asked. The view from the window was just a wall, and it was dark even during the day. The hotel wasn't clean; there were drink spills everywhere, and fingerprints on the glass doors. For those on a tight budget, staying here is okay, but if you have more to spend, there are better options elsewhere."

"This is my third time staying at Metro Park View and the experience was very good as always. The staff were kind enough to allow me to check in after 12 pm without having to wait until 2 pm because the room was already ready. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade which was really appreciated.
The service throughout the stay was excellent. The staff were friendly helpful and professional. Since I stayed during Ramadan the sahur breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of food and everything prepared well and on time. It made the early morning meal comfortable and enjoyable.
The room was clean comfortable and well maintained which made it easy to rest after a long day outside. Overall the hotel atmosphere feels calm and welcoming.
The location is another big advantage. There is a Ramadan bazaar right next door which is very convenient during the fasting month. Around the hotel there are also many cafes and places to eat so it is easy to find food or just relax outside.
Honestly I cannot think of any complaints or negative points about this stay. Everything was smooth and pleasant. If you are visiting Semarang I would definitely recommend booking this hotel."

Guest UserOn the recommendation of close friends, we chose to try Padma Hotel Semarang for our stay in Semarang, and we absolutely did not regret it. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was extensive and delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the gym was beautiful, and the coffee and pastries at Goolali were also of excellent quality. Combined with the beautiful entrance and the warm atmosphere of the hotel, it created a very pleasant overall experience.
What stood out the most to us, however, was the outstanding service from the staff. We would especially like to thank Mr. Syahrul for his professionalism and friendly service during breakfast.
One small point for improvement would be the speed of the Wi-Fi, especially when using YouTube on the television.
We certainly hope to return next year, hopefully for a longer stay.

The breakfast here is truly the best – when you're in Semarang, you really don't need to go searching for food, everything is available at breakfast, it's perfect! ❤️❤️ It's absolutely the best! The service and hospitality are top-notch. We even requested decorations for Father's Day, and they helped decorate the room so beautifully and wonderfully. ❤️ All the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the room is incredibly comfortable, no doubt about it.

On the earthI have been staying at this hotel for a long time and it has always been one of my familiar choices whenever I visit the area. The location is convenient and the overall atmosphere still feels comfortable and welcoming. However, it is a bit unfortunate that the hotel is starting to show its age. Some facilities seem a little old compared to before.
Last night was slightly difficult because there was a loud fan or machine noise coming from outside, which made it a bit hard to sleep. I hope the hotel can check this issue because it could affect guests staying in nearby rooms.
Aside from that small inconvenience, my stay was generally satisfying. The staff were friendly as usual and the service was reliable. I still appreciate the comfort and memories I have had here over the years, and I hope the hotel will continue to maintain and improve its facilities in the future.

Amir & ArieThis is one of the cheapest 5-star hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel might be a bit old, but everything works perfectly. The service and hospitality are very satisfying. The location is right in front of Semarang's main activity center. At night, you can take a stroll in front of the hotel. Ciputra Mall is right next door, and there are dozens of restaurants around the hotel.

My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

Guest UserWe're repeat guests here. Usually, we book the Deluxe room, but this time we opted for the Superior, thinking it was just a matter of room size. Our first impression upon entering was very unpleasant. We got a room in the furthest corner next to a storage room, even though the hotel wasn't full. The bed and pillows weren't clean and felt damp (dirty). We were very disappointed. We had no choice but to upgrade back to a Deluxe room and move rooms that very night, even though it was already very late (1 AM) and we were exhausted.
We've already reported our complaint directly to management, but I apologize, I need to write it here again so they take it more seriously. I understand that certain hotels often have one or two rooms with a 'bad vibe,' and I know the hotel staff is aware of it. Please don't assign these rooms to guests unless absolutely necessary, especially when older people are staying. It leaves a very bad impression. It's a shame, as we always stay here whenever we visit Semarang.

Mels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱

Great hotel actually, nice pool and breakfast, but the building and interior is a little bit old that I’m not really into it. Many cracks at the wall and floor that not looks good. Its located in a local residences, not too close to the center of the city.
