Batangas Hotels with Pools

"First time to visit a resort and beach in Batangas, and I must say that Altamare exceeded my expectations. I love the activities you can do, though it is limited, but still worth it. The vibe of being so peaceful and calm, since it is away from the noise, is the best thing of this resort. The services and foods are very good. You just need to be prepared of the stairs, it is very challenging! Overall it was really really good experience."

"It really is sweeter the second time around! I’m back at Sotogrande and once again, they did not disappoint. We had a sudden change of plans and needed a room around 4:00 PM to attend a local event. I was impressed that they could accommodate a same-day booking so smoothly. Sir Kim handled our check-in and was a lifesaver—he got us processed quickly because we were in a rush, and the security and their good personnel team was very hands-on helping us with our things. After the event, returning to the hotel at 9:00 PM was the highlight of my day. The room was incredibly comfy. Even though we were too tired for the pool and malapit na ata mag-close that time the hot shower and bathtub were pure luxury. My companion, who is very familiar with the high-end hotels in BGC, was genuinely impressed that the service and amenities here could easily compete with Manila’s best. The next day, you cannot miss the breakfast buffet! The quality is top-tier. The chicken sotanghon and beef tapa were delicious, but the adobo was the absolute winner for me. 🤤 Around 11:40 am, we went to the Upper Ground for a check out. What makes this hotel special is the people. Ms. Cess recognized me immediately even with my mask and cap on! She assisted with our check-out today (and, along with Sir Josh,) was the reason my first stay here was so memorable. Thank you, Sotogrande, for the ”top class” hospitality. I’m already planning to bring my parents and friends next time to show them why this is the best spot in Batangas!"

"This is the first time for us to stay overnight in Laiya and we made a good choice for picking The Henry. Indeed it is a boutique hotel, though some areas are tattered and needs refurbishing mainly because the rooms were frequently occupied/hammered by guests. But the service of the staff more than compensates the slightly exhausted property. Checking in and out was a breeze. Rooms were basic but everything you need is provided. Breakfast offered was more than adequate. Weather did not cooperate at the time of our stay, so i look forward to stay here the next time on sunnier days!"

"It has always been relaxing and homey to stay at Canyon Cove. My husband and I have been its customers since 2018 (except during pandemic era).  There are quite a lot of improvements in terms of home and continuous ramp-up of its services - staff have become more attentive, accommodating and helpful. However there certain things that I, personally would like to see retained like - the wooden windows which add nostalgia and old style appeal to it. It’s like a fusion of old and new - modern TVs, new ACs, working safe (for valuables), electronic doors and the old personal ref (kindly fix lavatory faucet in room 507).  I love the breakfast buffet - the coffee is superb…the  by-request egg cooking has a long waiting line (the cooked eggs I believe would be good already unless you increase the number that cooks the by-request omelette). We also love the sinner grilled food by the sea. One comment on the free dinner though (for the condo presentation). it lessens the crowd for the dinner cook-out, it somehow getting abused by people. The cook-out dinner has become sad when it used to be so much fun. Hoping to see more improvements like building ramps to the beach for seniors to enjoy the sea.  Over-all it was fun, relaxing and lovely to experience Canyon Cove and God’s beauty surrounding it. I will keep coming back."

"Was not expecting the Orchard Lane’s Superior Apartment bedroom was that run-down, the blankets were the worst of all we experienced in all our get-away stays, booked for 6 adults and 2 kids and they were expecting us to only use 2 blankets from the main room, extra blanket charged at 500php, the whole stay was compensated by the pretty sunset view outside, got foul smell at night from the main bedroom, we cannot figure out where the smell was coming from, walls were thin even the bathroom as you can hear other guests talking,it was a once in a lifetime experience as you will not likely to go back else you may want to try day tour instead. Do take note the sliding door connected to balcony were almost unscrewed so needs to take precaution in opening."

"Very nice place to stay with families,mganda ung weather nung pumunta kmi kasi d masyado mainit at mejo windy kaya mganda pwede mgswim s pool though ung beachfront d tlga pwede mgswim pero u can hunt sea shells and small crabs s seashore kasi mangrove area kasi sya…mejo limited ung plated breakfast nila pero okay n rin…mganda room na double cabana very spacious khit 6 pax kau carry p rin…highly recommended!!!!"

"Amazing location and environment but: parking lot was full ( way too small) and we had to park far away and go by shuttle to the lobby. Also the breakfast area in the hotel is too small, we needed to walk to the next building.  convenience store or supermarket nearby. The drain in the shower is too small and water raises and runs into the bathroom. The room is large but the furnituring is incomplete ( no second bed cabinet, no hanger, no rack for the luggage ). The staff was constantly stressed and overwhelmed by the high number of guests at the weekend. Nevertheless the stay was fine as the garden and the food was great."

"We stayed here, and it was excellent, great layout, lovely and clean, and the staff were extremely helpful. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent quality and value for money. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others."

"I bought it when it was expensive, so it was a bit pricey. I think it would be good value if you book early enough! There isn't much around the hotel, which was a bit surprising, but it does have a pool. If you only look for the best, there are many good hotels out there."

"Has bidet, good wifi. Great view of taal. Spacious environment. Hospitality staff is attentive. Facilities are old, restaurant food isn’t good (thankfully place is accessible to main Tagaytay road). If you’re looking for a place in Tagaytay to stay but mean to be out most of the time, this is a good option."
