"Located in the prime location of Otemachi. Checking in to the hotel is full of ceremony. But for the price of 13,000, the room is not big. Much smaller than the nearby Amman. Guests who really like traditional Japanese culture will prefer Hoshinoya. From decoration to service, it is low-key (very low-key) luxury, with great attention to details. It is a pilgrimage site for hotel professionals, but for ordinary travelers, the cost performance is too low."
"A very good Japanese-style B&B ~ The room is large and very clean. The toilet, bathroom, and hand washing area are separated and can be used by several people at the same time. There is also a washing machine outside, and there are also laundries and convenience stores nearby. The only drawback is the location. It is relatively remote, so you have to take a bus from Kita Ikebukuro to Ikebukuro Station."
"First of all, I was surprised at the atmosphere that was completely different from the image from the appearance of the building which was baptized without cleanliness in the whole hotel. Especially, the very filthy system of putting the message from the front desk on the floor under the room door was difficult to withstand. I went to look forward to having a drink at the front desk, but I stopped seeing the number of message cards placed on the floor on the way to get 々 and I felt bad. Even if a drink was prepared with the hand that exchanged the filthy card. The room felt narrower than the plain rice of the display, and it was actually quite different from the stylish interior like the photograph. The room was not clean, the furniture, the wall, the bathroom, all of which were clean, especially the cloth under the bed was long and very filthy. The table is small and there is no space to put things properly. When you open the door with the refrigerator, the door of the safe comes to you, so you have to open the refrigerator while pressing it. The hand washing of the washbasin is also important to look? It was very hard to use to fly up there. Only the bathtub was large and beautiful. The business hotel of 10000 yen per night was the top."

"Nice location near Shibuya station.
Linen doesn't seem clean and we spotted some hair during check in.
Amenities were sufficient but there isn't any coffee/tea or a safe box in the room. Also insufficient space for hanging any clothes.
Room is really tiny, there is barely any space to walk with 2 luggages.
Would recommend for the location and nice new deco."
The Sho House is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Sho House offers a pleasant stay in Tokyo for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 200m from Minami-Shinjuku Station and 21km from Haneda Airport. The closest major public transportation, Yoyogi Metro Station, is only 600m away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building North Observation Deck, Shinjuku Chuo Park and Japan National Stadium all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.
"First off, the hotel staff is INCREDIBLE!!! They all spoke excellent English, and they offered to help without being asked. They kept my luggage in storage, offered me water and coffee before checking in, and gave me directions when I asked. The hotel is right by the station, making it very easy to get to. It's on a quiet street, and is in general quite quiet at night. The rooms are on the smaller side (typical of Japan) and on the humid side (typical during the rainy season) but the room had a dehumidifier that I suggest you use. All in all, a positive experience, made better by the excellent staff. Thank you."
"Very satisfied, the service is excellent! If you stay one less day, you will be given check-out money. It is very hygienic. It is also very cost-effective to treat friends to dinner. The transportation is convenient. I will stay in this hotel next time."
"The historic and artistic Tokyo Station Hotel is one of my favorite hotels and has a great location with direct access from the airport and other cities. The staff is friendly and outstanding. I encountered some problems with my booking and the reception staff was very helpful and solved it quickly and efficiently, I was completely impressed by their professionalism and customer service. Breakfast was superb and the restaurant staff greet the guests with a smile and always be courteous. I stayed for 12 days and feel like home."
"I was very satisfied with the stay and the service was very good. I feel that I will continue to choose this hotel for business trips in the future. The transportation time is convenient and the surrounding facilities are very good."

Amazing
KKay JanLocation was convenient, able to reach most places within 30 minutes. There is filtered water provided at each floor. The room was spacious and there are bathtubs. Service was great, there was free flow alcohol on new year’s eve. Love the place
GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally located close to Shinjuku Train Station, but far away enough not to be caught up in the hustle and bustle of the commuter traffic. Another station, Yoyogi station, is a better station to catch the local trains/subways as it is smaller and less crowded. The hotel is located close to shopping and eating that you don't need to walk very far to satisfy any craving. From 7-11 to high end dining, everything is close by. There are restaurants and even a Shake Shack (got our desserts from here several times) inside the building and department stores just across the bridge that crosses the railway tracks. The hotel actually starts on the 20th floor, so you are high enough that the noise from the railway doesn't bother you. Since you are so close to the train station, you don't have to lug your baggage too far from the train station (if that's how you came into town). Service from the staff was very good and was as expected from a higher end hotel. The room was on the large side for Japanese hotel rooms. We had a king size bed and space to walk around even with 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons taking up floor space. The elevators were quick and silent with a view overlooking the promenade. Filtered water is provided next to the elevators, which came in very handy since we filled our refillable battles starting out each day of sightseeing. A refrigerator was provided as was a safe. Towels were changed on demand and sheets were changed every 3 days or on demand. The bathroom was small but not the smallest we experienced, the shower/tub was great with a handheld sprayer available. The toilet was the typical bidet/heated seat setup that all hotels seem to provide. Everything was clean and neat with the typical (for Japanese luxury hotels) compliment of items - toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shower cap, skin lotion, soap, shampoo, etc. Unfortunately, we were on the go most of the time and didn't experience any of the hotel restaurants, but they looked high end and we probably wouldn't have eaten at them since we didn't really pack any nice clothes that would have fit into the clientele. Overall, a comfy place to stay in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.

Great
AAnonymous UserI arrived early morning hence was only able to leave my luggage at the reception. Check in was at 2pm and the hotel was nice to accept my request prior to booking for a room on the ladies floor for security reasons and I am also a solo traveller. Amenities like toothbrush, comb and tea packets are provided at the reception too. My only wish is that I hope in future the Hotel can provide at least an international or English movie channel for foreign guests.

GGuest UserGreat stay at this hotel! Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. The location was convenient, close to popular attractions. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. CCancanOverall a good hotel for short stay.. Comes with all basic amenities like pyjamas, water machine, free drinks machine, breakfast, Onsen etc... The only downside is the size of the room.. Barely had space to maneuver or open luggage.. Not too far from Ikebukuro station but not exactly near either after you had a long day.. Around 10minutes walk depending on speed. Many eateries nearby.

KKJGood for solo traveller and accessible to 7-11 & restaurants. Room cleaning every day from 11 to 3pm, overall the restroom & capsule was clean.
Tips for improvement on the USB charger in the capsule, will suggest to install a wall outlet instead for fast charging for laptop or hp.

DDratinaThe outside of the building is huge. There are so many amenities to choose from at reception. Definitely gives the impression its a 4* hotel. When I got into my room I could see rust and marks in the bathroom, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I wasn't pleased that the WiFi kept cutting out constantly. Now I got the impression it was a 2-3* hotel. Room service was excellent until the last night when they forgot to leave a night dress. The location is excellent, very close to the station and surrounded by shops. There's an amazon locker close by which helps with my online shopping addiction lol. I forgot to take a picture of the hotel and the amazing view but I got one of the symbol in the front garden.
CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno: Compact Convenience in a Prime Location

Furthermore, the area surrounding the hotel boasts a wide variety of fantastic food options, making it easy to find delicious meals and experience the local culinary scene.
