I can never say no to hills! It was sister’s birthday and she expressed her desire of heading to the hills. Hence, we packed our bags, booked our ride and headed to the hills. For our abode, we didn’t have a second thought. We had loved the hospitality of Sterling Mussoorie last year. Hence for Nainital, we booked Sterling Holiday Resorts in Nainital. Nestled amidst the picturesque hills of Nainital, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Our unforgettable getaway was filled with breathtaking views, delectable food, impeccable hospitality, family time and heartwarming surprises. A beautiful drive led us to the property and upon arrival, from the moment we stepped into the grand lobby, enveloped by warm smiles, we knew we were in for a treat. We were treated to refreshing welcome drinks while the staff efficiently completed the check-in formalities. The corridors which led to our rooms were adorned with pictures that captured the essence of Nainital, further amplifying the excitement for our stay. It was time to check out our heavenly rooms. The Super Premier Room with a Balcony & Valley View was a delight! Stepping inside, we were acquainted with spaciousness and artful design. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the private balcony offering a mesmerizing vista of the valley below. The room itself was a haven of comfort with calming interiors, a plush double bed overlooking the view, TV, cozy seating, ample luggage space, wardrobe, and a spacious bathroom. To add a touch of local charm, there were welcome goodies including special Uttarakhand delicacies waiting for us - a delightful start to our stay. The balcony became our favourite spot, especially during mornings and evenings. As we sipped on our cups of tea, we were enveloped by the beauty of the valley, making it the perfect way to start and end our days. After a long journey, we were famished. In-room dining came to our rescue, and we ordered some delicious grilled sandwiches with tea before heading for dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant Tadka was a visual delight, exuding elegance with a touch of greenery. Plush seating in pastel colours like pink and green created a warm and inviting ambiance. The culinary experience at Sterling Nainital was nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite here was a journey of flavours. Let us take you through the culinary extravaganza we indulged in. Our culinary adventure began with a delightful spread of appetizers. We savoured both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including Vegetable Sweet Corn Soup, Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, and Garden Green Salad. The flavoursome soups were a perfect precursor to the mouthwatering starters. For starters, we tried the irresistible Fish Fry, Paneer Tikka, and Vegetable Kebab. The Vegetable Kebabs were particularly delightful - crispy on the outside and bursting with flavours on the inside. We could not resist ordering Chinese, our indulgence included Wok Fried Paneer and Gre

We stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott, Dehradun, from 22-24 December, 2024. The hotel is conveniently located amidst serene and picturesque surroundings, and yet just 2 minutes drive from the main shopping centres on Rajpur Road. The hotel is modern and relatively new with all essential facilities. Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We had deluxe king-bedrooms that commanded excellent views of the Mussourie hills. The beds were very comfortable, providing very good quality sleep. The sofa provided doubled up as an extra bed for a third guest and was very comfortable. I haven’t seen anything like this in any other hotel. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant was very spacious, without any crammed feeling, with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. It commanded excellent views of the hills on one side and forest on the other side. Food was excellent, with a wide array of dishes in the buffet spread. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and our special thanks to the chef Mr. Naveen, who ***** with his team, went out of his way to make us comfortable and make our stay memorable. Overall, it was a very delightful and comfortable stay in a friendly environment. We would certainly like to come back here on our next visit.

In this small town, this hotel is the highest end, safe, complete facilities, the view of the Ganges River is very beautiful, close to the Ganges Festival in the evening, breakfast is printed, no special, mainly clean! I stayed for two days, breakfast and dinner are here, I have not pulled my stomach, the service is very good, the service staff is super enthusiastic. The speed of wifi is average. The fourth floor I live in is only a little faster than the mobile phone signal. The speed in the lobby is OK, but the overall speed of India is not high.

We had a great stay at the Tree of Life Highlands at Mussoorie. It was a peaceful stay, accompanied by quiet ambience, friendly staff, good food, and comfortable lodgings. What we liked: 1. Given the low occupancy, they upgraded our room to a room with balcony. We greatly appreciate that gesture. 2. They initiated contact through email soon after booking, and asked for additional information, while also sharing route details to reach the resort. We appreciate the follow up and communication. 3. We were self-driving to reach their place. They anticipated that we would face difficulty, and called us while we were on our way. When we neared the resort, they got into a video call with us and guided us to their location. Hats off! 4. The room was comfortably furnished, with good quality materials. Drinking water was available in copper bottles. Hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner were also kept in steel containers. Appreciate their eco friendly approach to minimizing single use plastic. 5. The views were great. The ambience was quiet. This made for a relaxing stay. 6. They had a well stocked library. We enjoyed reading the books in the room and the common areas. It was a great way to unwind. 7. The tables in the common area had board games. It was a great way to spend time with family and disconnect from the screens. 8. Food at their restaurant was tasty and freshly prepared. 9. The day after we reached, they cleaned our car. Great gesture after a road-trip to reach there. 10. Wifi was functional and allowed getting some work done during the stay. Thanks to Tulsi for cleaning our car. What we didn't like as much? 1. The approach road is narrow. That was one of the factors why we decided to stay put at the resort the entire time. Overall, we liked our break from the grinding routine, and it made for a relaxing stay to unwind and connect with our inner self and family.

This was the best hotel we've stayed in Rishikesh so far! We are quite regular when it comes to visiting Rishikesh and love the peacefulness the city has to offer. We have stayed in the most premium hotels in Rishikesh and Yog Niketan by Sanskriti by far was one of the best. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. They have ample parking space for 9 vehicles. Even before entering the hotel, the security outside the hotel greeted us very nicely and ensured we deboarded the car comfortably after driving for 5 hours. He ensured we were comfortable and offered to park our car in their parking. A single bellboy took our luggage inside the hotel without even needing any help even though I offered help. The moment you enter the lobby area, you can see Ganga Ji right in front of you. The view is just mesmerizing! The hotel staff at the reception, Ms Shika is a very soft-spoken person and she guided us throughout our stay. They welcomed us with lemon honey ginger water and a necklace! We reached the hotel at 12:30 noon and to our surprise the room was ready. Their check-in time is usually 2 PM, however, we didn't have to wait for any extra minute. That's an excellent experience! The hotel doesn't have any lifts, our room was on the first floor. The bellboy carried the luggage through the stairs. Our room was superb, maybe the best room in the hotel in my opinion in terms of views. Great location, bang on straight we could see Parmarth Niketan from the balcony. The balcony has 2 chairs to sit comfortably and relax. The rooms are very spacious and the washroom is good. There is a broad step for the washroom. There is ample space to keep the luggage. There is a lounge chair and a table in the room as well. The staff had decorated our bed very nicely when we entered. The location of the hotel is such that you can enter the ghat area from the back gate and sit there for hours. The hotel serves high tea in the evening which is an excellent concept! Their restaurant area is in the basement amidst a small garden and the back gate which takes you directly to the ghat. The restaurant is spacious and the staff is extremely responsive. We enjoyed sandwiches, pakoda's, tea, and cookies on the first day. They serve pakoda's, tikki's, chaat's, sandwiches, biscuits, coffee, tea, and a few other things in high tea. For breakfast, they serve poha, idli, sandwiches, cupcakes, flavored yogurt, pancakes, pakoda, oats, paneer bhurji, buns, and all kinds of parathas, masala dosa, plain dosa ***** with sambar and chutneys. Everything that we had in their restaurant was very very tasty. Kudos to the chef and his whole team! On the first night, we had dinner in the hotel itself and ordered pasta and sandwiches which were very tasty and very good quantity. The hotel is so near to both Janki Setu and Ram Jhula that we used to walk on Aastha Path, cross through the Janki Setu, walk around the whole Rishikesh market, and then cross through the Ram Jhula daily to come back to the hot

The stay was so memorable. Staffs very friendly. Staff Kanchan is excellent to be rewarded. As first time in Rishikesh we were little lost but Kanchan thoroughly assisted from the time of booking till the last day stay. Almost all Staffs assisted and looked at our needs including driver and guide. We really got our blessings in this spiritual land. Thank you totally kind souls that we met. God bless all.

Before booking, I saw a lot of people saying that the food here was not good, and I was very nervous. When I ate the breakfast buffet, I found it was okay, but there were not many varieties, but the quality was okay. It is the facilities to complain. There is no separate compartment for the toilet and shower. It was understandable that the design was not considered at that time. But what is incomprehensible is, can't we add a shower curtain? After taking a bath, the bathroom was splashed and messed up. If you want to use the toilet or brush your teeth later, sorry, you have to get in.

I paid for royal room (breakfast and taxes inclusive. For this much money (though this is after discount price) hotel lacks the basic amenities like there was no moisturiser and hair dryer in the room. We had to ask for the dental kit too. Mind it hair dryer is only available in the suite room. Upon request iron was provided but that too without the iron board. Talking about breakfast, do not expect buffet. Only few items are served and basic breakfast item like juices are also not available. When it comes to beverages, only tea and coffee are available in breakfast menu. In room dining menu, the options are immense but again there are no basic options like burger. Though the pizza was good but again chocolate shake was such a disappointment. There are much better options of the hotel available in the same locality.

I've been stayed here for a week now, and this has been one of my best stays at Dehradun. The staff is as great as it can be, as well as the food here. I'm delighted to be having amazing food day by day, because of Chef Naveen. He's been on toes ready to serve fingerlicking food. Put his heart into every bite he cooks. Every interaction with the cooking and working staff has been beautiful. I hope to visit again, soon.

It was an amazing journey to Jim Corbett. We stayed at Hotel Le Roi Corbett, the staff was excellent and very disciplined, the food quality was supreme, there were lots of delicious dishes. The hotel had all the facilities including swimming pool, games such as table tennis, carrom etc. it was a very memorable experience that I will cherish for a long time.

This was easily one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. From the exceptional staff to the delightful high tea overlooking the Kosi River, every aspect of our stay was memorable. The stargazing experience with Astrospots was incredible, and the parathas were absolutely delicious. The beautiful lawns added to the charm of the place. I could go on and on! We were even fortunate enough to receive a complimentary upgrade through IHG. A huge thank you for the wonderful stay, and especially for the kindness shown to my child. We truly appreciate it!

I am typically wary of flowery coverage of Hotels that are featured in Travel magazines, as they are more driven and fueled by the special treatments that the authors got, leading them to celebrate the hotel more than it deserves to be. This was one such case! Both Outlook traveller and Travel + Leisure had celebrated this way more than it deserves. But still it had its highlights. I would have given 3 stars, but raising it upto 4 stars only because of the lovely setting, the sweet and hardworking staff, and the quality of Food etc. Frankly speaking, I am not a big fan of the label ‘Hidden gem’. But this boutique beauty - that is stunningly situated on a clifftop against a striking backdrop of hills and terrace fields - certainly deserves that title! You can get treated to panoramic views of the Kumaon Hills leading to the magnificent Himalayas right from your Balcony! Unfortunately, during our stay the weather fairy wasn't on our side. The imposing peaks of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, Trishul were teasingly playing Peekaboo with us all day long - just like Mt Fuji did with us in Japan, or Mt.Rainier used to do in Seattle! Nonetheless, the views were still stunning enough and this was one of the closest encounters with the hills we had been blessed with in the recent past! LOCATION: Stunning location on a Clifftop and just 80 minutes drive from Bhimtal. DINE + DRINK: They dont have a BAR as advertised, and the restaurant could certainly be better decorated or setup. HOwever the food was to die for! THe Chef whipped up some wicked meals for us. The Kumaoni Thali in the night got us high on food. And the breakfast was divine - Piping hot Masala Maggi and Puffed up Pooris under the winter sun accompanied by flavorful Masala Chai!! ROOM: We stayed in 306, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular views of the Kumaon Hills and Himalayas ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: No A/C as the nature did a great job of setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: OK Justa cosmetics. Bring your own FACILITIES: No Gym on site. And the Pool was closed due to Covid. So DONT BELIEVE THE GLAMOROUS pics you see on these travel magazines and expect a fun time in the Pool. They do have a Spa on site though, though the quality and experience of the staff looked questionable SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to DILIP KUMAR, DINESH, and GAJENDAR at the restaurant. And RAMESH who attended to our special requests. They can surely do better with the FRONT OFFICE staff who certainly needed a lot of training and coaching! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wifi, but VERY POOR CONNECTIVITY and severe issues and be warned that if you plan to do some work stuff or call, it will be a NIGHTMARE! It's a beautiful property, which you would love for sure. Right in front of the property is a river streak, which you can actually cross by walking. Beyond the river is lush green jungle. With no network, it's a good hideout place. But the real sham are the caretakers. While they are sweetspoken, but deeds are not really upto the mark. I booked the costliest room in the property but the fan had a rattling noise, which they couldn't fix even after 2 days. The cable tv was not working and could only start after 2 hrs post complain. But the worse is the chef surrender - who tries to be oversmart. He is sweet to speak to, with a genuine pahadi smile, but he tries to be overs-mart with his cooking. When we checked in it was lunch time - we ordered a loo gob-hi and dal for lunch. He told us a loo gob-hi would take time, as they prepare only fresh food on order. But surprisingly the food was ready in notime. What we found out was that he mixed fried potato and gobhi in the leftover curry of some other veggie. So instead of a dry aloo gobhi served across india we had a a loo gob-hi with butter pane-er gravy. Well we were hungry so we are it. Next morning we ordered egg curry for lunch and found that mr. Surrender was preparing kadhi for a bigger group, so he mixed kadhi curry into boiled egg and served us as egg curry. Can you imagine a egg kadhi! we literally shouted on him and then he gave us another egg curry little better prepared using the same eggs. But loved the stay. Minus food and issues with their caretakers

Excellent hospitality. Continued feeling flavors of Taj. Staff highly courteous. Excellent greenery. River side is great experience. Food very tasty. Evening Aarti after after Hi Tea was unique and memorable. Garden stroll by your guide and riverside telescopic views of wild animals & birds was another new concept. Me and my wife enjoyed stay fullest.

Basically receptionist female was really good. She put full effort to make us make comfortable. Food was good. The only point i like to highlight that room bedding sheets and the sofa cover was not perfectly clean.
