Hotels With Wi-Fi in Campania, Italy

We wanted a hotel next to the train station to go to Pompeii and the airport easily, and this hotel's location is very convenient. But as in most European cities, the area is not super safe at night because it's next to a train station. The hotel was alright, good relation quality/price. Breakfast could be much better, it wasn't great

Fantastic hotel!! We arrived last night at 22:00 and checking out this morning as we move onto Ischia. If all the negative reviewers did their research prior to booking this hotel then they would know it’s a stop off hotel rather than a long stay hotel. The taxi ride from the airport took all of 10mins and cost €20. Yes, the drive up is extremely “dodgy” and not somewhere where you would be walking alone at night. However, once inside it’s like a completely different place. Very clean, safe, modern with friendly staff. Our room was on the 14th floor and Premium, it was immaculate plus the shower/bathroom was great with a walk-in wet room. Shower pressure was bliss after travelling all day. Breakfast was fabulous, various pastries, cold meats and cheeses, fruit and yogurts. A typical Italian breakfast consists of a pastry and coffee, so I think their attempt at bacon eggs and beans etc to please that clientele was 10/10!

The location is between Positano and Sorrento. The environment and rooms are relatively good, and the valet parking service is also good. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was that the waiter did not take the initiative to ask if I wanted coffee or tea during breakfast for two days, but other tables of European and American guests would take the initiative to ask. I took the initiative to ask for two cups of cappuccino, but I sat there and waited for 10 minutes but they were not delivered. I have never encountered such a situation in other Italian hotels. I can only say that it is a pity that the overall service is brought down by one link. Located in the middle of Positano and Sorrento, the environment and room are relatively good, and the valet parking service at the door is also good. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is that the waiter didn't take the initiative to ask if I wanted coffee or tea for breakfast for two days, but other European and American guests would take the initiative to ask. I took the initiative to ask for two cups of cappuccino, but I sat there and waited for 10 minutes without delivery. This is the case in other Italian hotels. I haven't encountered it. It's a pity that the overall service is low by one link.

The bar to have drinks in the evening is filthy, dirty table linens that are not linens, had marks that has been used and spilt drinks or food. The chairs and table feels and looks dirty, we took our drinks in our room instead. The breakfast has no cooked food just hard boiled eggs, bread are hard, people have to queue to wait to be served by 1 waiter, you cannot take from the table, waiter has to serve even coffee. It’s scary around the hotel, police are always there, dodgy shops around. Stay nearby or at hotels around Ovo Castle. It’s too dirty aroung Gibraldi station where this hotel is located.

Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.

What a great hotel in a fantastic location with just jaw dropping views. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were a little worried when we arrived at how far out we were from Sorrento and other surrounding areas but actually this was a blessing being so isolated in a heavily populated part of Italy. The transfers from the hotel to the train station was fast & cheap and the train was easy to navigate and also very cheap. The private beach was lovely and much bigger than expected. We were worried about food at the restraunt as i saw some bad reviews but both the lunch and dinner was great with fantastic views to match . Our room was really big and easily accommodated all 3 of us. I'd love to return back to this hotel in the future.

We missed our train from Naples to Rome, being there last train of the night we were left to scramble to find a room at 11:00 pm in a city of which we were not familiar. With many hotels booked, our options were limited. We came across Hotel Vergilius Billia and could not be more pleased! Sabrina at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!! The room was spotless and spacious! The bathroom was beautiful! In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! We highly recommend if you are in Naples a stay Hotel Vergilius Billia!

Pros: eco & power-saving, air con in rooms, beds extremely comfortable, delicious breakfast with plenty of choice, rooms always clean and tidy, reasonable location not too far from centre Cons: very poor tap design, bathroom a little tired and could do with an upgrade, room wasn’t quite ready on time, would prefer breakfast to be a buffet & just help yourself, a smart TV would be beneficial for tourists to access Netflix etc. couldn’t find the wellness centre The cons however didn’t impact our stay enough to mark it down at all. 5 out of 5

The environment is good and very exquisite. Because the ingredients are fresh, the taste of breakfast and dinner is very good. 3. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a small balcony facing the train station. 4. Because it is near the train station, the environment around the hotel is very poor. There are homeless people everywhere, especially crossing the road to the station is really thrilling. 5. Everything else is good, especially the breakfast is perfect.

There's a lot of homeless people outside and all of the things that come with that, although they don't seem to bother the tourists. The road is exceptionally noisy although the windows do a decent job of blocking most of the noise out. The hotel itself is dated, the roof bar wasn't open during our stay and we didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that The room was very dated very dark and gloomy. The double bed was two beds pushed together and the sheets were uncomfortable and scratchy. The TV didn't work properly nor did the fridge. The bathroom flooded every time we had a shower as it appeared to come out of the floor drain whenever the shower was on or the bath emptied and the shower head was at knee height so you had to hold it up to have a shower. Having said that if you just wanted a place to stay with no frills and cheap then this is fine.

Best experience in Napoli, loved everything about the staying in the hotel. Very friendly staff and amazing interior design. I was confused with the location, however the staff were very helpful to cone and show me the location and help with the parking. They located in a residential building, which gives local lifestyle vibes. There’s a daily local market outside the main entrance which was added value for me.

I loved my stay here. Their biggest strength is by far their staff. I have read here that some people found them rude and obnoxious. That was NOT my experience at all. For me, they were helpful, kind and a good laugh. For a woman travelling on her own, that is honestly such as blessing. The social spaces were lovely, vibrant and welcoming. There were always people there, but until midnight or so, never over crowded or felt like your were suffocating. Past that point, it was party time! They also had a roof terrace, which was a nice touch. I loved the key app, which gave you access to the entire building and room via your phone. It was super efficient and safe. You also didn’t need to worry about carrying around a key with you (or losing it!) The place was always clean - and I had no complaints about the showers. Never had to queue. Granted there was no hot water on 2/3 days but it was 35 degrees outside so didn’t mind too much. One thing that I would change is the beds. They were too small (I, at 5ft 7in/172cm was too tall) and they would creek and shake throughout the night. Overall though, would go back.

As always, clean, elegant and comfortable structure. Excellent breakfast and also suitable for those with allergy or intolerance problems. Impeccable professionalism and customer care! Really recommended!

Very pleasantly surprised! A great size bedroom with a balcony overlooking the sea! What more can you ask for? Very very good value. The man at the desk was very kind. Cleanliness was good on face value but it needs a deep clean - quite dusty in high places and the mini bar was disgusting! Throw that fridge away! We didn’t have breakfast included so didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that. It is quite run down - if they can they should invest into it - repaint it in places and replace some of the equipment and they could charge a lot more. Advice to guests - take earplugs as it’s loud outside at night and it’s hard to find as there are no signs! But it’s the big white building above amalfi terminal with 2 amalfi flags on it. To access you need to go the main square and then the steps up by the bank on the left (opposite the church) I’d recommend it!

The hotel is beautiful with a lot of attractive, inviting public areas. Our room was lovely, spacious and well-equipped, with a balcony overlooking the pool area. The large bed was very comfortable. It was well-serviced and clean. There was plenty of room in the wardrobe, but only 1 drawer each. The bathroom was nice with a good shower over the bath. We could hear the conversations of people in adjacent rooms and also on the corridor, but other guests were not noisy and did not keep late hours. The dining room was large, pleasant and relaxing. It was well run by the very professional maitre d' and his team. Breakfast was excellent with a full range of cooked food which we found delicious and hot. There was also an amazing range of food for continental breakfast. We particularly liked the jugs of coffee and hot milk, which could be refilled on request. At dinner, there were 3 courses, with a choice of 3 dishes for each. All of these were appetising and we had trouble choosing which ones to have. We enjoyed all the dishes we were served. We didn't need to use reception much, but most of the people we spoke to there were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated about a five minute walk to the beach, promenade and ferry port in Minori, which is a lovely, small town with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. You can easily see it all in half a day and we would recommend taking lots of trips to see the beautiful surrounding area. Ravello was our favourite, with an outstanding villa to visit, very calm and relaxing. The roads are narrow, winding and busy. We don't recommend driving! We were there for a week and the high standards never varied during the whole of that time.

Very comfortable stay. Nice, clean room certainly no complaints in that respect. Location is outside of the centre of Salerno, however a half-hourly train can be caught 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, which gets u into Salerno in 15 minutes, and u can be at the tourist ferry terminal in 25 minutes. A small number of restaurants around and a supermarket is 2 minutes away. Breakfast was very basic but was sufficient enough. Not too bad for the price point and definitely cheaper than Amalfi Coast, but the easy access to Amalfi Coast made it worth the stay.

The hotel offers superb value for a stay on the Amalfi Coast, and its reasonable price reflects the experience. We had read about the noise in previous reviews, but it turned out to be more significant than we anticipated. The hotel is located within a hairpin turn on the Amalfi Coast highway in Minori, with the Minori bus stop right at its front door. Despite all of us being heavy sleepers, the constant noise from cars, buses, motorcycles, mopeds, and honking throughout the night was unavoidable. While this is not the hotel's fault at all, upgrading from single pane glass to better soundproof windows would mitigate the issue. The hotel itself, it is dated, but the owner at the front desk was incredibly kind and friendly. She provided us with valuable recommendations for restaurants and markets within Minori. The room was also dated but impeccably clean. The shower was small but typical due to the dated nature. However, the room was functional, and the beds were comfortable. The highlight was the large private balcony with a city/sea view. Breakfast is not served on the hotel property but at a cafe down the street. Despite this, the breakfast was delightful, offering one pastry and one coffee of your choice. Overall, considering the hotel's price and its superbly convenient location, it's a phenomenal value option, just note the potential noise factor during the night.

The hotel is built on the cliffs by the sea and the location is very good! The scenery is also very good! The decoration is a classic European style, very characteristic. Breakfast is like a general, like most hotels in Europe, bread is the main! Hotel parking is relatively small, not much location. Can be with the hotel in advance. Overall is very good!

After lots of research we decided to make salerno as a base to explore amalfi coast and capri, and we r happy that we stayed here. Direct fast train from Rome [sorrento doesn't]..hotel being just Opposite to railway station. Easy to reach. We booked 1 double room and 1 single room for our family of 3. Rooms r clean, AC works great, normal size bathroom ,good hot water,supermarket nearby, walking distance to port and beach. Taxi stand just opposite to hotel, and main bus stop also just in front. We took ferry to capri (2 ports for ferry, LNG ferry 1.5 km away, 10 euro for taxi )and for amalfi town we took SITA bus 24 hour pass 10 euro per person and we started with amalfi, ravello and reached Positano and return. Easy to catch bus ,and just in 10 euro pp we completed our amalfi coast . Excellent location.and no noise in rooms, breakfast is great, fresh bakery and fruits every day. Staff is cheerful and extra helping. Best of all our hotels in Italy. Though rating is 3 star it is Actually better then msny 4 star hotels. Kudos to family management

The hotel does have a grand-presence on Lungomare. Being an older and spacious property does have it's advantages - like having a wide balcony with chairs to gaze out at the exotic Amalfi coast (photo attached). Though Easter time, we were lucky to have a room with a balcony. Conveniently located in a 10-minute walk the the Salerno station, bus-stop or concordia Pier to reach Amalfi. Room was spacious with large cupboards and a small place to cook-meals. A kettle would have been comfortable in the room. Being Asian, I love my warm water and a morning coffee. Breakfast was tasty with some of the local sweet delicacies like Sfogliatella and Conchiglia. I noticed it was spread in way which reduced food-wastage on the table. However, I missed warm sausages or omlette. Would have also liked vegetable salads and cut fruits. A variety of whole fresh fruits were accessible, but sometimes we get lazy to peel and eat an entire fruit :) Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel Fontana is great hotel in location , in the terms of staff. Staff of hotel is very cooperative and they are very helpful. Hotel is located just in the centre of Amalfi . And gives a good view of church and the restaurant on street. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A structure located on the Amalfitan coastal promenorion. Visual from the stunning rooms, very friendly and comfortable staff as never before, very clean rooms, excellent breakfast. I would strongly advise him who wants a beautiful romantic weekend.
