We stayed at Dormy Inn Aomori in a twin bed room and had a very pleasant experience. We were assigned a high-floor room on the 12th floor with a beautiful ocean view, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The room was spacious, and the beds were large and very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The hotel is well-equipped with excellent hot spring facilities, including both indoor and outdoor baths as well as a sauna — a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring Aomori.
Hotel breakfast is delicious and many choices.
We also appreciated the practical amenities provided. The laundry machines are free to use, with a 30-minute wash cycle. The dryer costs only 100 yen for 20 minutes, which is very convenient for longer stays. The room also features a large, modern TV, and the hair dryer provided is a premium Refa brand, which was a nice touch.
Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay with great onsen facilities and thoughtful amenities. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Aomori.

Right above Aomori Station, this hotel's location is super convenient, with direct access to JR from the lobby. It's often fully booked, so the hot spring is usually quite busy no matter when you go, but they do have real apples in the onsen! There's a hot bath and a slightly cooler one, both very comfortable. The spa, yoga, and dining are mostly extra charges, but there are plenty of activities. The rooms don't have bathtubs, which makes sense since everyone's expected to use the large hot spring. The facilities and equipment are quite new, the bed is very comfortable, and you can see all the best parts of Aomori from your window, including the bay and the bridge.

I booked a Japanese-style tatami room. I originally planned to visit Mount Hakkoda and Sukayu Onsen, but unfortunately, it was snowing heavily, making it impossible to get around without a car. So, I ended up just watching TV and building snowmen at the hotel the whole time. The hotel itself has good views and dining options. There's a small convenience store at the hotel (selling simple food like instant noodles and peanuts, ski equipment, etc., but no daily necessities). The bathing facilities are communal, though there's also a shower in the room, but no toiletries like shower gel. I recommend using the public bathhouse to experience a Japanese inn's bathhouse, which has indoor and outdoor pools, plus free ice cream. There's a shuttle bus from the hotel to Aomori Station at 9:00 AM, and another from Aomori Station to the hotel at 3:30 PM (pre-booking required). A taxi from Shin-Aomori Station to the hotel costs 15,000 JPY. During the snow season, you can't get an Uber at all, so you're reliant on the hotel shuttle. This hotel is suitable for skiers. For sightseeing, I recommend visiting during the non-snowy season. (P.S. The snow-covered mountains in Aomori are truly magnificent, and the snowy scenery is beautiful.)

Cozy room, great buffet breakfast served! 👍🏻
Upon check-in, the hotel lobby offers complimentary 100% Aomori famous apple juice as a welcome drink to guests. 🤠 It's absolutely delicious! 👍🏻
The location is central, and it's about a 13-minute walk from the subway station 🚉 to the hotel. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants within a few minutes' walk of the hotel at night, which is great! 👍🏻👍🏻
If I ever come back to Aomori, I'll definitely stay here again. The 'Sleeping Buddha' ceiling design in the hotel lobby is beautiful! 😻

Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel's facilities and service.
The standard room we stayed in was clean and hygienic, but the bed was a bit small. The soundproofing was not okay.

This backpacker hostel boasts a superb location, just a five-minute walk from the Towada Lake Restaurateur bus stop, making it convenient for exploring and taking photos at the lake. The hostel features a beautiful exterior and comfortable interior with ample shared space. The dormitories have curtains for privacy on each bed and tables and chairs for guests' use. The owners are friendly and helpful; the elderly gentleman, though not fluent in English, is very accommodating, while the younger manager speaks fluent English, making communication easy. The hostel is very affordable, including dinner and breakfast, and the food is decent, with a comfortable restaurant environment. Guests can also purchase discounted tickets to the Towada-so onsen (hot spring) next door, making it an excellent value.

JiandanjihaoThis was my second time visiting Aomori. My last trip was in mid-June. This time, I happened to catch the Nebuta Festival, and hotels were completely booked.
The place I stayed at last time had quintupled its prices, so Trip.com recommended this Daiwa hotel to me.
The hotel is quite good, not far from Aomori Station, an easy walk. The room was clean, on the compact side.
There was a booking error this time, and while it wasn't resolved, Trip.com customer service was actively trying to help me throughout. In contrast, the hotel's agent was incredibly unprofessional in handling the issue.
The hotel's service itself was excellent. The deducted service points are due to the agent.

Guest UserThe room was very spacious with three beds and still plenty of room. Breakfast offered some local specialties, though the variety wasn't extensive. It's about a 17-minute walk to the train station, or four bus stops, and a taxi ride takes about 5 minutes and isn't expensive. The staff were all very helpful; if you have any questions, just ask. You can pick up facial cleanser, lotion, and cotton swabs in the hotel lobby, which is very convenient. The New World BBQ restaurant across the street is delicious, and there's a Lawson downstairs and a FamilyMart across the road.

The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean, so I was very satisfied.
When I wanted to order at the hotel restaurant, it was inconvenient to have to call the staff verbally. They weren't always nearby, so

Guest UserThe hotel is close to the station and not too far from the attractions. There's a street downstairs with convenience stores, 100-yen shops, izakayas, and bars, so the location is great. The room wasn't particularly small, which was nice. There's a water dispenser right outside the elevator, which I really liked, otherwise, I'd have to buy water from the convenience store and carry it up.
