The hotel is right above the station; after exiting, take the elevator on your left directly up. It's super convenient to stay here in winter. The room is spacious enough for two 26-inch suitcases, and the view directly faces the Apple factory, which is fantastic. The hotel also has staff who speak Mandarin, making it very easy to ask for help. They even assisted us with making restaurant reservations, which was wonderful. However, the hotel's 'hot spring' is really just hot water, and because a high percentage of guests are Chinese, some families bring their kids to the 'hot spring,' and they can be very noisy, acting as if their children's antics are cute and innocent. I wouldn't recommend using the hot spring facility.
I chose this hotel specifically because I love this brand's bathrooms—they're spacious with a great wet/dry separation. The room itself, however, was quite small. For airport bus access, it's actually closer to get off at Shinmachi Itchome, the stop *before* Aomori Station. After you get off, walk back a bit, and the hotel will be diagonally across the street. There's also a convenience store right at the entrance now.
Room is clean and spacious. There is free water dispenser every floor, you can try Aomori apple juice at the hotel.
I love the idea that you can choose the cleaning or not cleaning on the television.
You can also see the status of the laundry on the television.
The location is abit far from Aomori station but I think it’s okay. There is a direct bus from Aomori airport to the hotel.
There is a convenience store nearby.
When I book hotels in Japan, two things are most important to me:
1) Close to a JR station;
2) Separate toilet and bathroom.
Looking purely at distance, Toyoko Inn and Route-Inn are closer to the station and cheaper. However, after staying at MyStays, I'm so glad I chose it – I really made the right decision! It's also very close to the train station, and there are many restaurants and izakayas downstairs (a Western restaurant across the street, even though its Google rating isn't high, we ate there two nights in a row and the food was pretty good!). Each of our family of three had our own bed! The support was sufficient, very good! The building looks yellow and old from the outside, but it's really nice inside! Don't be fooled by its exterior! Five-star rating.
The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Aomori JR Station. If you're arriving by Shinkansen, you'll need to take the JR line from Shin-Aomori to Aomori Station. The hot spring bathhouse on the 13th floor is excellent; you can go straight up there for a soak. They also offer free ice cream and a selection of manga to read, making for a really pleasant environment. The rooms are a bit small, but they do have a shower.
I booked a room with dinner and breakfast. I got a room but it had food smell. It seems breakfast or dinner was served in the room. Room size was good. But footsteps from guest room upper floor was heard.
Dinner and breakfast were not great.
Onsen was ok.
I checked out and dropped my luggages at the hotel. When I came back, all lights turned off. Weird. But hotel staffs were available.
A great hotel. The room, while compact as usual, was incredibly well-equipped, fitting everything you could possibly need into a small space. We had a large and a small suitcase, and had to open them separately – it was a bit of a squeeze, but we made it work.
There's a laundry room with washers and dryers. A communal hot spring bath is available on the same floor. In the evenings, they offer complimentary ice pops, and Yakult during the day.
The lobby features a complimentary refreshment station with coffee, tea, and other drinks. Be warned, the coffee is bitter and scalding hot, so if you're particular about your brew, you might want to skip it. If you do decide to have one, I strongly recommend finishing it before heading out, as there are no trash cans on the street outside! 😂
I thought that 1km from the station would be a comfortable distance, but if you walk in the wind and snow in winter, it will be completely different. It really looks far away, and the service is very good. The hotel offers free apple juice in the lobby, which is also a local specialty.
The buffet has food from all over the world. In January, there were many ski experts from Europe. The hot springs are also great. You can soak in the hot springs while looking at the snow-capped mountains. It is very convenient for skiing. There are also coin-operated laundry machines and dryers.

GGuest UserThe environment is great! The room is clean and warm, and the bedding is as comfortable as at home. The front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, and patiently answers all questions. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes great! The location is convenient, and there is everything you need to eat, drink and have fun around. The price-performance ratio is super high, and I will choose here again on my next trip! Highly recommended to friends~

GGuest UserMy main reason to go to Ajigasawa was to visit the Takayama Inari Shrine with its snaking Tori gates. It’s about a tenth the length and size of Kyoto’s.
Found this ryokan by reviews in the area. It was a toss up between this and the nearby hotel; which turns out to be run by the same group!
The ryokan shows its age. But it’s very comfortable, clean and the service, especially by Noro who used his translation app so well, was impeccable! They have map of the property in English.
If you drink (alcohol), it’s available in spades! There’s unlimited snacks, water, soda, popsicles, coffee, tea and alcohol for guests.
The onsen is open to public, it seemed like the whole village descends after dinner to have a dip!
We spent one night: dinner and breakfast were excellent!
GGuest UserBreakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.
GGuest UserFor less than 1400, supper comes out for supper, breakfast comes out. After breakfast, each person drinks a cup of coffee or tea at the bar. The hot spring is free to soak. It is only 20 minutes away from Aomori by tram. I think it is worth taking a half day alone as a relaxing trip. After all, Aomori is very small. I live in the city for a day to see the House of the Sandman and my favorite punch card. Hoshino, why not try it! It's not easy to find a hot spring street that is not in the old forest in the mountains these days (in fact, the hotels in Asamushi are a bit scattered). Talk about the shortcomings, the hotel welcomes you free of charge, but you need to make an appointment or call after you arrive at Asamushi Station. You do n’t need to worry about Japanese if you are in Japan. Even more trouble. However, you can try your luck. Saturday's pick-ups may be intensive, and we just happened to get in the car. If you go by yourself, it ’s not as easy to find as the other ones. Yu Zhi Tang is next to him, and it ’s not easy to find. On the contrary, those who can see the sea are very eye-catching and easy to find. The room is a bit small, to be honest, but eating well can make up for some regrets.
