Friendly staff all around, especially at reception and housekeeping! Excellent location for easy access to both Sendai and Aobadori Stations.
They just need to step up their cleaning!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. First, the service was excellent. Ms. Yoshida at the front desk was very patient during check-in, and seeing I had a lot of luggage, she offered to help me carry it to my room. Second, the hotel facilities are relatively new and well-maintained, and the bathroom design is great. The location is convenient; you can access the Shinkansen directly from the 3rd floor, and walk to the West Exit and S-PAL mall from the 2nd floor. From the window, you can overlook the East Exit high-speed bus terminal, making it extremely easy to get to attractions like Yamagata Zao. There's also a Lopia supermarket within a five-minute walk, which is handy for groceries. The only drawback is that there's only one washing machine and dryer per floor. Since you need to use your key card to access each guest floor, it can be hard to get a spot during peak evening hours for laundry. I recommend planning your time accordingly. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sendai and its surrounding areas.
Hotel where you can watch the sunrise from bed.
Around 4:30 AM, I went to the restroom and suddenly noticed a light shining through the window. I initially thought it was just the lights from a nearby building. However, the light started changing colors, and it was absolutely stunning – it turned out to be the sunrise! I quickly went back to bed, grabbed my phone, snapped a photo, and then took a short video. Afterward, I happily went back to sleep.
For this three-night stay in Sendai, I booked a standard room at KOKO Hotel (Sendai Citizen's Park). The hotel's location is excellent, near Kotodai-Koen Station. It's about a 15-minute walk, passing Aoba-dori Station and Hirose-dori Station along the way.
The room wasn't huge, but there was enough space between the two beds to open a suitcase. The bathroom was a standard modular unit, very neat and clean. My room number was 1018.
I forgot to snap a picture of the room.
It’s the nicest hotel I have stayed in Japan for the price I paid.
The hotel’s bed is slightly fixed higher to allow storage of luggages. This is very convenient for travellers with larger luggage. We had two 30mins luggage and had no problem roaming around the room.
The amenities provided here is of better quality as well. Feels nice to the skin.
It was New Year’s Eve yesterday and the hotel prepared soba noodle for everyone. Felt so warm after a long chilly day in Sendai!
Overall. Great stay!
This hotel in Sendai offers great value for money. I've stayed here a few times. While it's a bit of a walk from the station, it's not too far. The rooms are compact, the breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the service is very warm and welcoming.
The hotel staff was excellent, doubtless.
The location is convenient, just next to a metro station; however, it takes about 15 minutes tio go from Sendai Station to the hotel. But if you try the metro, it leads to to severl levels dwon plus lots of waiting time for the train. So it is not the best location i would say.
For the hotel room itself, it is a standard Japan hotel room. Smaller than i expected or expereinced in othe Mitsui Garden Hotel. That was a bit disappointing. I remember i was given a room with stinky smell. And i rushed to the front desk to ask for a cahnge of room. They immedaitely changed another room for me. But the reaction from their face, I wonder this smell problem must not have been new to them.
But anyway, the staff was super nice.
By the way, the public bath is normal. But i would say it lacks a space for people to relaxe outside the bath. There is no seat nor sofa outside. I need to go down to my room straightly. That was a bit not common in Japan hotels.
The room is big enough to even change my suitcase from broken one to a new one. I like having bamboo baskets for me to carry thing to the onsen. It is very nice to have sauna, one indoor onsen, one outdoor onsen and a cold onsen. I was happy to have an ice-cream after onsen and can have a small bowl of ramen for free.
Room is quite big and comfortable, beautiful lobby.
The room had double-layered curtains with sheer drapes, which was a very thoughtful touch. Even when the morning sunlight was bright, it didn’t feel harsh. The only pity was that we didn’t get to try the hotel breakfast this time—hopefully, we can enjoy it on my next visit.
It’s a hotel that makes me want to come back again~
The location is great, right in a shopping street, about a 15-minute walk from the station. There are plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and other needs. The hotel uses a self-service check-in and check-out system at the front desk, and the overall experience was excellent. The room I booked this time was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel and offers great value for money. The facilities are also relatively new. I'm very satisfied with my stay.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to Sendai Station, and it's super easy to find. The Sendai Morning Market is just a 2-minute walk away, right behind the hotel. The main shopping street is also conveniently located, just two blocks away. The hotel breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, which I highly recommend.

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good. 5 min to sendai train station.
There is a famous grilled beef tongue across the hotel.
There is also convenience store nearby.
I think the coin laundry is so expensive, it’s 700 yen.
Room is spacious and clean.

GGuest UserWe went to Sendai for last three years and we stayed at this hotel for at least three to five days. Nevertheless, no loyalty credit has been given. We booked a room at the last date we left Sendai (ie 2-3 Dec) and lastly we changed our mind to stay tat this hotel for two more days (ie 30 Nov to 2 Dec). When we asked if we could stay at the same room from 30 Nov to 3 Dec but not staying at the corner room, the hotel replied either we had to upgrade the room we booked for 30 Nov to 2 Dec by paying extra JPY4,000 or downgrade the room we booked on 2-3 Dec. 「No refund」was offered for any downgrading, thus we had no choice but paying extra JPY4,000. When entered into the room, we saw some rubbish on the floor, we went down to the reception immediately, in the lift, one of receptionists was with us, we intended to tell her about the cleanliness of the room but she didn’t make any response, seemed that it was none of her business. We showed the vedio regarding the rubbish to the receptionist and asked to change the room. He replied no available room for the change and no helper could help us to clean the room. At last, the receptionist came up and pick up the rubbish. No offer to clean up the room next day but sticking to the hotel’s rules to clean the room every three days. We were very unsatisfied with the hotel services and concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel.
MMike from CaliforniaWould definitely stay here again after spending 4 nights here.
Seems to be a new hotel in a good location in Sendai. It’s less than a ten minute walk from Sendai Station, it’s located even closer to the Subway, just 1 block from shopping arcade, and a few blocks from the Asaiichi market.
Hotel room was very spacious for 3 including a 1 year old. Our room was on the 11th floor with a view of the next buildings rooftop. The lights are controlled with a touch screen. Wifi seemed to work well. Good luggage and jacket storage at the entry way.
Lots of free amenities in the lobby and you can get 2 bottle of water per day. We did not have breakfast during our stay but the lounge is open from ~2pm to ~9pm and there’s a Starbucks coffee/latte machine. You may also purchase a glass of sake for ¥500 from a machine. The second floor has pay laundry machines, microwave, ice machine, and vending machines.
Hotel staff was helpful. They can arrange your luggage to be sent to your next destination. I don’t think there is any added service charge. I had opted for no cleaning when booking to save a little but they still cleaned the room daily.
My only complaint is when I asked for a new key because i lost one, the receptionist gave some attitude and said that I should look in my room for it after issuing another key.

GGuest UserJust a few minutes' walk from Hirose-dori subway station, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, surrounded by numerous dining options. Having a convenience store on the ground floor is also a reassuring plus.
We stayed in a moderate non-smoking room for two. While the queen-sized bed was comfortable, it felt a bit cramped for two, though it would likely feel quite spacious for a solo traveler. The mattress firmness was just right, and the air purifier was a welcome amenity.
The bath area was nicely separated from the toilet, preventing any concerns about water splashing out, and the rain shower was a pleasant feature.
The front desk staff were friendly and left a positive impression.
One minor point is that the air conditioning throughout the hotel, including the lobby and hallways, felt a bit too strong. The complimentary coffee service in the lobby was a nice touch, but it was a shame that it couldn't be taken back to the room.
Overall, it's a clean hotel with excellent service, and we left feeling very satisfied.

GGuest UserThis hotel is perfect in every way. The view is excellent. Matsushima Coast, one of the three most beautiful views in Japan, is well-deserved. Sitting in the room, you can enjoy the beautiful view. The cuisine is impeccable, the small details are amazing, and the open-air hot spring makes the stay experience even better.
