#nagoyatrip Most ferry passengers got off at the previous port of Himakajima. So Shinojima including the beach of the same name was pretty empty. This also goes for restaurants and cafés: All closed. BYO! Shinojima itself has a nice hiking path through the woods on its southern tip. Try to make it to one of the secluded beaches there! Try to visit this as well...

Aichi Prefecture in February ✍︎______________________________________📍Umi no Shogetsu This is my second stay here after two years. It's one of the inns I definitely wanted to come back to when I stayed there last time. Located in Minamichita, Aichi Prefecture, this inn is located on a hilltop and overlooks the sea. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and expected the same stable hospitality this time as well. We had a welcome drink and strawberry daifuku in the lounge with a spectacular panoramic ocean view and checked in. This time we stayed in a different room than last time. 🔑 (I liked the previous room better because the open-air bath was bigger and the terrace was wide and clean.) The room has two toilets and the hair dryer and shower head are refa, just like last time. While hotel prices are getting higher everywhere, this inn has had a stable price setting since two years ago. However, I felt that the drinks in the refrigerator were charged and the volume of dinner was slightly reduced. Hot coffee and tea are available for free. Still, the nice points are that you can check in at 2 p.m. and that Ikyu Diamond members can check out at 12 p.m.! The weather was great that day, the sea was beautiful, we could see the sunset and the starry sky, and we were able to relax in the hot springs as many times as we wanted ♡ We had dinner in a private dining room The chef was the same as two years ago ♡ We had a variety of dishes with dashi that reminded us of Kyoto cuisine, and we also enjoyed fresh sashimi and the famous crystal grilled meat ♡ For breakfast, we enjoyed grilled dried fish, which was delicious ◎ #Aichi #Minamichita #Accommodation #HotSpring #WinterTrip

When you enter the store, the first thing you see is a large picture window with a lush rural landscape. The lighting in the store is purposely dimmed to make the most of the landscape. Looking at the menu, you can tell that the owner himself is a literature lover, as the menu makes you feel like you're reading a poem. The owner's recommended menu, the exquisite smoked chicken curry, is a fragrant, tender chicken with pickled ginger that is really delicious. Other dishes include omelet rice and tomato spaghetti, all of which are delicious dishes that make use of spices and ingredients. As the name of the store suggests, the interior is decorated with coffee trees, and the wooden counter and table seats. As time passes quietly, a person busily sits alone. The owner runs the shop. You can enjoy the pleasant aroma of delicious spices while sitting at the counter seat in the back where the sun shines and watching the red train run through the countryside. Please come and spend a wonderful time at "Tenkirin no Hashira" that you can't experience at other restaurants. The smoked chicken curry is a very popular menu item and sells out quickly. Also, since the owner runs the shop by himself, it is recommended for those who can enjoy a quiet and relaxing time while waiting. About a 10-minute walk from the shop, there is also a historic temple called Agui Doun-in, where the hair of Odai's mother, the birth mother of Tokugawa Ieyasu, is kept. \\Tourist Spots// "Tsubuteura" on the Minamichita Peninsula is a popular tourist destination known as a power spot. Legend has it that the land was created when the gods of Ise, located on the opposite bank, threw stones at this place long ago. There is free parking, so be sure to stop by when you are sightseeing in Minamichita. I thought the clientele would be young, but there were two older couples.
