Stepping into the store feels like being in a small alley in Tokyo, with dim lighting and nostalgic decor creating a comfortable and pleasant dining environment. 🍶 Kitamura House is not only a great place to dine with friends after work, but Director Kitamura sometimes personally oversees the place. Occasionally, celebrities from the entertainment industry also visit, adding a touch of mystery. 🍶 The menu features a wide variety of classic Japanese Izakaya dishes, and the blackboard has many daily special creative dishes with authentic flavors, offering a different surprise every visit. 🍶 The drink menu showcases the owner's sense of humor, including 'Taipei's Second Best Oolong Highball' and 'Leli Road's Best Lemon Sour.' Taipei, Taiwan｜Zhuji Pie Porridge Shop Yuanqi Shopping Center Dunnan Store Chu Kee’s beef/pork pie has always been famous! They are all made to order on site ~ the crust is not very thick and the taste is very good. The filling is very solid ~ full of meat, juice will squirt when you bite it, the taste is very rich 😋 The taste is not too salty and you don’t feel greasy at the end of the meal👍 Millet porridge is very refreshing. I am a relatively light eater. There is sugar on the side. If you like to add sugar, you can consider it yourself. After adding it, it will slightly enhance the taste. You can still enjoy the fragrant rice porridge flavor without adding it~ Loads of hot and sour soup! The flavor is just right, I love the crunchy fungus! With soft white tofu strips~ and my favorite coriander! Bonus points! As for the side dishes, we recommend the cucumbers, which are very tasty pickled side dishes. The taste is a little sweet, but very refreshing. The tofu skin is pickled and smoked soybean skin, which has a very strong taste haha Grilled braised braised rice bran is my favorite, with braised bamboo shoots next to it ~ the taste is average but tasty, and the shiitake mushrooms next to it are delicious😆😆😆

Friends invited us for dinner there and we’re a group of 8. It’s a popular hotpot brand with restaurants in different areas in Taiwan. Even we’ve reserved a table but we still had to wait for 15 minutes. Interior design is quite modern and seating not too crowded. The staffs were quite attentive and friendly. We did ordered quite a lot of good and they’re all very fresh and some were fusions. Spicy duck blood is a very common hotpot item that you must try in Taiwan. Their duck blood was delicious and they refilled it from time to time. Besides hotpot, they also offered their signature chicken feet which was limited and for dine in only. If you are a fan of chicken feet, just don’t miss it as it’s really yummy. #老曹旺川味鍋物

Luxury, futuristic hotel experience in Taipei, Da-an Summary: * Cozy Hotel, all-white exterior which looks really cool. * Really comfy bed with lots of pillow choices. * Nice breakfast set with free-refill coffee (you should try once) - check the photos ! The Good: * Comfy bed: *Slumberland* which is a pretty nice brand. * Lots of complimentary stuff * Some snacks, coke, beer, capsule coffee machine * A good working space (table which you can work), they even provide ethernet cable. * Location: close to MRT Da-an The Bad: * Room is a bit tiny * you can still hear some noise from street cars, so you can use the earplug which hotel provided. * No parking spaces provided (sorry if you drove here) Bonus: * this Place is close to Red Point , the brewery restaurant which serves good draft beer. * Strongly suggest to stay one night for couples. Conclusion: * 10/10 would come again. this place is my favorite hotel.

The area had a youthful, laid-back charm, perfect for café-hopping and slowing down after a day of exploring. Drawn in by their reputation for taro, matcha, and strawberry desserts, we decided to step inside for a sweet break. The space felt warm and inviting, with soft lighting, wooden accents, and adorable cat plushies scattered around, adding a playful touch to the atmosphere. It had the kind of charm that made you want to linger a little longer, sipping tea and indulging in something sweet. We ended up with three beautifully crafted desserts in front of us, each one almost too pretty to eat. The strawberry matcha cheesecake was a standout—fresh strawberries glistening on top, followed by a rich matcha cheesecake layer and a classic cheesecake base. The matcha had a pleasant bitterness that balanced the creamy richness, making each bite smooth and satisfying. Then came the matcha ice cream with a matcha and black sesame dessert bowl, topped with a skewer of dango mochi. The contrast between the bold, slightly bitter matcha ice cream and the deep, roasted nuttiness of the black sesame was incredible. The dango added a fun, chewy texture, making each spoonful even more addictive. Finally, the star of the café—the taro dessert bowl. Topped with soft, stretchy mochi and mini taro balls, it was a dream for any taro lover. The base had a naturally sweet, earthy flavor, thick and smooth like a comforting bowl of warmth. Every bite felt like pure comfort food, subtly sweet without being overpowering. Sitting there, surrounded by the quiet hum of conversation and the occasional clinking of spoons against ceramic bowls, it felt like time slowed down just a little. The combination of good food, a cosy setting, and the gentle buzz of Da’an District outside made it one of those small but unforgettable moments in the trip—one that lingers long after the last bite.

It is a dazzling and extravagant restaurant and bar in Taipei, and also offers hookah services. The beautiful lighting effects, delicious food, and slightly tipsy atmosphere are all pretty great!

Shui Yue Xiang is located on Heping East Road in Taipei, near National Taiwan Normal University. As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in Cantonese cuisine, and the roast duck is a must-try! The duck is served two ways: sliced duck and duck leg pieces. You can also choose one of two options (stir-fried duck frame or pickled cabbage and duck soup). The pickled cabbage soup is delicious and warming. The beef brisket and tendon pot, shrimp lettuce wraps, taro dates, and baby cabbage with dried scallops in soup are also highly recommended.

I've eaten shabu at many restaurants in Taiwan, but this is the first one I've ever tried. How cool is that? The concept of the restaurant is so 90s-friendly. When you enter the restaurant, there are vintage items from the 90s all over the place. The tables have a Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong restaurant feel (I ordered everything, lol. It has that vibe, you know). It's a hot pot with a variety of meats. You order them by the plate, not a buffet. Their mala is sooo good!!! It has an aromatic smell, but it's not too spicy. The regular soup is also delicious. Overall, I really like the taste here. To finish, there's ice cream for dessert. The cool thing is that it's rolled up like candy, lol. The restaurant has them right when you enter the restaurant. There's an elevator to take you in, but you don't go anywhere. When you open the door, you'll see the restaurant, lol. Or, in addition to ordering food, there's also a sheet of music to play. My friend and I ordered and got a sheet of paper to write 3 songs that we wanted to listen to on the paper and hand it to the staff. After waiting a bit, they played the songs that we requested. Before going back, we stopped by to take a photo booth with our friends. The frame is still cool. It's a picture of a dog, lol. I really like this shop. Luo Si Fen is similar to rice noodles, while Sour and Spicy Noodles are more like rice noodle rolls. If you have a delicate palate, remember to order Luo Si Fen 😂 otherwise, you might find the Sour and Spicy Noodles too overpowering. You can also tailor the flavor to your liking. The main ingredients vary in price depending on personal preference, but both the sour and spicy flavors are very strong. If you like this kind of food, you definitely need to give it a try.

The store offers a range of reed diffusers, room sprays, and candles, making it a tough choice between the diffuser and the spray. Ultimately, I opted for the room spray, drawn in by the exclusive Fleur de France scent, available only in that form. The store's concept impressed me, and despite initially thinking it was a local brand, I learned from the amiable staff that it hails from Thailand.
