My Stay at Banyan Tree AlUla: A Desert Oasis Experience! 🇸🇦✨

#summervacay I recently experienced the Banyan Tree AlUla, Saudi Arabia's only Banyan Tree property. I drove about 7+ hours from Jeddah to reach it, nestled in the Ashar Valley of AlUla. AlUla has done a great job with its international marketing, and even during the off-peak season, there were quite a few Chinese guests at the hotel – a testament to its success! Overall, my stay was quite good and felt very much like a resort experience. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the service was decent, definitely not disappointing. The hotel has implemented a good system for managing expectations when calling for a buggy; they'll tell you the estimated wait time, though in my week-long stay, I never had to wait long at all. However, once you venture outside the Banyan Tree property, things can get a bit chaotic in Saudi Arabia. It feels like a place where rules are non-existent or made up on the fly, very informal. So, honestly, staying within the hotel grounds was the most comfortable and relaxing option.
