"Bando University" Ashikaga School

Located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, this historic school was renowned as the University of Bando. It seems that students studied Chinese classics and Confucianism, and there was even a statue of Confucius in the hall. There was a plaque at the entrance that read "school."
