Kek Lok Si Temple (Penang)

#tesaruonbudget Kek Lok Si, one of Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist temples, is a majestic and peaceful place that’s mostly free to enter, except for a small lift fee to the towering Kuan Yin statue. With its sprawling temple halls, turtle pond, and colorful lanterns, it’s perfect for low-budget travelers interested in spirituality and architecture. The views of Penang from the upper levels are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Don’t miss the annual Chinese New Year lighting, which is spectacular and free.
