Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan (Metal Castle)

Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan, the only metal castle in the world that remains in perfect condition. It was started in the reign of King Rama III and only the brick and laterite frame was completed. It has been renovated many times and the golden spire that you see today was just completed in 2017. This metal castle is a 7-storey castle with a spiral staircase in the middle. There are 37 castle spires in total. Currently, the ground floor has an exhibition about metal castles. When you gradually walk up each floor, there are signs with knowledge, proverbs, walking meditation, and sitting meditation. When you reach the 6th floor, you can see the surrounding view with signs indicating the places to see on each side. The 7th floor is where the Buddha's relics are enshrined.
