It was a day trip to Thonglor, Bangkok 🇹🇭 If you’re looking for a mix of trendy cafés ☕️ hidden gems 💎 and some of the best photo spots in Bangkok, Thonglor is the place to be. We spent a full day exploring this vibrant neighborhood, and here are our top recommendations for where to go and capture stunning shots 📸 

We started our morning at Rocket Coffeebar, a sleek Scandinavian-style café that serves great coffee and beautifully plated breakfast dishes 🥞 The natural light streaming through the windows makes it an excellent spot for food photography 📸 We’d recommend getting their signature cold brew and the avocado toast 🥑 both look as good as they taste.

We also visited Varen Bakehouse, a cozy, pastel-colored café ☕️ with a minimalist design. Their croissants are a must-try, and the entire place is designed for Instagram-worthy shots. One of our favorite hidden gems 💎 in Thonglor is Tuba, a quirky restaurant that feels like an antique store. The mix of vintage furniture, colorful decor, and eclectic art pieces makes this a dream location for photography 📸 We’d recommend trying their Thai fusion dishes while snapping shots of the funky interiors 💯

Tichuca Rooftop Bar is the favorite rooftop bar among young people in Bangkok. It is also known as the Jellyfish Bar.

I was walking to my dinner place and chanced upon this unique chicken rice store at Thong Lor. The name of this shop is Boon Tong Kiat Singapore Chicken Rice and it has Singapore flag as part of their signboard. They sell Hainanese chicken rice and also Bak Kut Teh. I looked around and found some great reviews. I did not managed to eat it but I am pretty sure I will be eating it real soon. Along the same street, there are also plenty of eateries and I also chanced upon this Wine Connection There are really many nice places in Thong Lor and I have been here more times than in Pratunam.

A modern and inviting type of cafe with their own intricate styles through making you feel like home. The team certainly delivers brilliant coffee with passion. A must visit when you’re in thonglor or nearby Sukhumvit. Ice Latte with Honduras single origin is superb.

 House blend is also good. Barista is so kind and knowledgeable. And the sea salt caramel macchiato which came in a double ristretto was good too. A friend had the Ode to Hiroshi Sawada Streamer coffee matcha latte and loved it. Cafe is cozy and good ambient.

A temple like no other is Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram, built on the site of the original palace of His Royal Highness Prince Bodindradebayavarangkun.

The temple plan of the ordination hall, the chapel, and the pagoda are all connected and decorated with different patterns of Benjarong glazed tiles.

Worshiping 🙏 Phra Phuttha Angkhirot, whose body is made of pure gold.

The decorations are all exquisite. Outside, there is a place for the king to ride an elephant.

The royal cemetery is decorated with various architectures, Thai, Western, Khmer.

This temple is the residence of the Supreme Patriarch, so important ceremonies are always held.
