The National Museum Bangkok is located at the Front Palace or Wang Na, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. It is the first national museum in Thailand, built around 1782. This palace was the residence of 5 Maha Uparajas during the reign of King Rama V. Until the position of Maha Uparaja was abolished, this palace was vacant.
