Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan

Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan is an ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period. It was later renovated during the reign of King Rama I. Inside the temple is also the location of Phra Borommaphap or Phu Khao Thong, which is a pagoda on a simulated mountain. It was built during the reign of King Rama III. It was designed as a prang with a twelve-sided base, but it was not completed until the reign of King Rama IV when he changed the design to a mountain. A pagoda was built on top and the relics of the Lord Buddha were enshrined. This made the golden pagoda top look beautiful and bright from afar.
