Michelin-starred Vietnamese food in Tha Tien area

#dreamvoyage Tonkin Annam (ตองกิง แอนนาม) – This small shophouse restaurant in the Tha Tien area is owned by three Vietnamese siblings. It mainly serves northern and central Vietnamese food. In addition to its authentic Vietnamese taste, its deliciousness is also outstanding and hard to compare with other restaurants. It was also recommended in the Michelin Guide. ****-Menu I ordered-**** ➡️ แหนม เหนือง ​​ This is Nem Nuong. It is different from the Nem Nuong we are familiar with because the wrapper is very thin, thinner than paper. When you eat it, you don’t have to soak it in water. Just wrap the pork and ingredients with the crispy wrapper. When you put it in your mouth, the crispy wrapper will melt in your mouth. In addition to the wrapper, the set also comes with rice vermicelli. The “special” thing about this dish that impressed me is the soft and tender pork, the right amount of fatty meat, no flour mixed in, and the fragrant aroma of charcoal grilling. As for the chili, they use pickled chilies that are sour and spicy. The dipping sauce is made from beans and soybean paste, rich but not too sweet or spicy like our Vietnamese spring rolls. It's a deliciousness that's taken to a new level. ➡️ Banh Bao Served in 8 small, flat cups, filled with steamed rice paper that reminds us of Juy Guo, but this Banh Bao is much softer. When you put it in your mouth, it almost slides down your throat, like you've forgotten to swallow it. It's topped with crispy pork rinds, minced pork, and spring onions. It's topped with a dipping sauce that smells of fish sauce but isn't too salty. It's thick, slightly sweet, and has lime to squeeze in instead of lime, giving it a gentle, sour taste and a very pleasant aroma. For us, this menu is the most delightful. ➡️ Crispy Vietnamese Pancakes The Vietnamese pancakes that we're familiar with, but are filled with bean sprouts, minced pork, and plump shrimp. The dipping sauce or pickled vegetables is thick and well-rounded. Served with cucumber. But the taste is more gentle than the Thai style that uses vinegar and sugar. ➡️ Banana Blossom Salad Actually, I would rather call it Banana Blossom Salad than Salad because it is sour and spicy like a salad, but not as spicy as Thai salad. And use lime instead of lime to add sourness as usual. Add big shrimp and minced pork mixed with banana blossom. Eat with crispy rice crackers that are stuck in the big sheet, it's perfect. ➡️ Lime Tea It's similar to lemon tea but uses lime. Very fragrant, sour and sweet taste, refreshing. I like it. Overall, every dish is delicious. Really outstanding, as its reputation. The seasoning is delicate, meticulous details, clearly different from other restaurants. The ingredients are of high quality. It's no wonder that this restaurant is so popular. Even though you have to wait in line, it's worth it.
