Wat Arun Ratchawararam

This temple is considered the temple of King Rama II because during his reign as the Front Palace in the reign of King Rama I, he resided in this original palace and extensively renovated the temple. A grand celebration was held for 7 days and 7 nights, and he also changed the name of the temple from Wat Chaeng to 'Wat Arun Ratchatharam' and later to 'Wat Arun Ratchawararam' during the reign of King Rama IV. The temple features a distinctive prang (Khmer-style tower) on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
