A dim sum restaurant in Sao Chingcha area. The food is very delicious.

Food: Xiao Long Bao and Ha Kao are very juicy.

Fried pork rice, the dipping sauce is a bit small but it's delicious.

Overall, the food is delicious in every menu.

(For those who are allergic, ask the staff first. Most of the menus have shrimp mixed in.)

Restaurant area: No more than 10 tables, no air conditioning, only fans but it's cool.

Parking area: Quite difficult to find. I recommend parking around J Park.

Service: Very good. Overall, I'm very impressed. 🥰

เปิดกันด้วยร้านแรก คือ ศิริพรโภชนา เป็นร้านเก่าแก่ย่านเสาชิงช้า เมนูเด็ดคือ ข้าวหมูแดงหมูกรอบ ซึ่งขอบอกเลยว่าเด็ดจริง ส่วนตัวชอบหมูกรอบมาก เพราะกรอบสะใจ หมูแดงชิ้นหนา เนื้อนุ่ม แต่ส่วนตัวคิดว่าน้ำราดยังไม่ว้าว และให้น้อยไปนิด ไม่อิ่มเลยค่า😂

Today, I will take my friends to walk around Sao Chingcha area. 💕

Let's start with the first shop, Siriporn Phochana, an old shop in Sao Chingcha area. The signature menu is red pork and crispy pork rice, which I must say is really great. I personally like the crispy pork a lot because it's satisfyingly crispy. The red pork is thick and the meat is soft. But I personally think that the sauce is not impressive and the portion is a bit small. It's not full at all. 😂

The next shop is Pa Pak Dang Juice Shop. This shop is quite famous on social media. The signature is the makeup of the owner. Most importantly, she mixes the juice with fresh milk. It's very rich and delicious. (Don't forget to order less sweet.)

The last shop is Nattaporn Ice Cream, homemade sand ice cream. Eat ice cream in the summer. Super cool and refreshing. A bit pricey, 35-45฿ per scoop, but try it once and you'll definitely love it.

Wat Thepmontri is located near Wat Suthat and the Giant Swing, on the same side as Suan Rommani Nat. 

The area where the Goddess Lakshmi is enshrined is on the 3rd floor of the building. You can take the elevator up to the building. Inside the hall, there are many deities. It is a quiet and beautiful place, suitable for praying and making merit, asking for blessings from the sacred things. 

All offerings are strictly forbidden from meat. You can offer milk, water, fruits, or grains. There are no offering trays to buy here. You have to bring everything yourself.

ร้านกาแฟ ชิคๆ ใกล้เสาชิงช้าแห่งนี้ เป็นร้านกาแฟที่นำเอาตึกโรงพิมพ์เก่ามาปรับปรุงให้เป็นร้านกาแฟเก๋ๆ ในสไตล์ที่ทำให้เราย้อนไปในสมัยรัชกาลที่5 ตึกส่วนใหญ่ในย่านแถบพระนครสร้างในสถาปัตยกรรมผสมแบบยุโรป โดยอาคารแห่งนี้ถูกสร้างเป็น Eclectic style ที่ทำให้เราหลงใหลย้อนไปถึงความโก๋เก๋ของคนยุคสมัยนั้น

This chic coffee shop near the Giant Swing is a coffee shop that renovated an old printing house into a chic coffee shop in a style that takes us back to the reign of King Rama V. Most buildings in the Phra Nakhon area are built in a mix of European architecture. This building is built in an eclectic style that makes us fascinated and think back to the chicness of people in that era. 

In addition to the beauty of this old building, the taste of the drinks here is just as good. Coffee lovers will not be disappointed. But if you don't drink coffee, there are other menus to choose from as well. Especially the Yushu menu, it is very fragrant and refreshing. For those who are into the spiritual side, in addition to praying for blessings at the Hindu temple, the Hindu Samaj Association of Wat Thepmontri also has Hindu deities for you to pray for blessings. 

The deities for worship here include Vishnu, Lakshmi, Brahma, Durga, Lord Buddha, Rama, Bhagavati Sita, Ganesha, Krishna, etc. 

Here, there are two rounds for worship: the morning round from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the afternoon round from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those who come to worship must dress appropriately and prepare their own offerings. They are also strictly forbidden from bringing in meat.

ร้านนี้ดังมาก ใครไปแถวเสาชิงช้าต้องแวะมาน้า ตัวร้านไม่ใหญ่มาก ที่นั่งอาจจะเบียดไปนิด เป็นแบบบริการตัวเอง มีทั้งซื้อกินที่ร้าน และซื้อกลับบ้าน ที่สำคัญแอร์เย็นฉ่ำ ไม่ต้องกลัวกินไปร้อนไปเลยค่า

หากใครจะทานที่ร้านก็แค่หาของไปจองไว้ หรือจะให้คนที่มาด้วยกันนั่งจองที่ไว้ก่อนก็ได้ค่ะ อย่าลืมจำเบอร์โต๊ะ แล้วเดินไปทางเค้าเตอร์สั่งอาหารน้า สามารถสั่งกับพนักงานแล้วจ่ายเงินได้เลย (โอนได้นะคะ) ซึ่งตรงนี้ใครจะซื้อแบบกลับบ้านก็ต้องมาเข้าคิวซื้อที่นี่เช่นกันค่ะ

วันนี้เราไม่ได้นั่งทานที่ร้าน เพราะโต๊ะเต็ม🥲 เลยซื้อชามะนาวแบบขวดใหญ่ และพุดดิ้งช็อคโกแลตกลับมาทานที่บ้าน ซึ่งตัวชามะนาวเค้าเนี่ยทีเด็ดเลยค่ะ จะเป็นชาแบบชงเองนะ ไม่ใช่ชาผง รสชาติจะออกเฝื่อนๆหน่อย แต่กลมกล่อมและหอมชา หอมมะนาวมาก กินแล้วชุ่มคอสุดๆค่า ส่วนพุดดิ้งช็อคโกแลต เนื้อนุ่มมาก เข้มข้น ไม่หวานเลย หอมช็อคโกแลตมาก ส่วนตัวเราชอบมากกก เลยซื้อมา 2 ถ้วยเลยค่ะ

จริงๆทีเด็ดเค้าอีกอย่างคือขนมปังปิ้ง ที่หอมเนยมาก กรอบนอกนุ่มใน เราชอบซอสช็อคโกแลต กับตัวแยมส้มนะ หอม อร่อย ไม่หวาน กินเพลินๆ ตัวขนมปังสังขยาเค้าก็อร่อยค่ะ ราคาดีด้วย ใครผ่านไปผ่านมาย่านเสาชิงช้า ต้องแวะเลยนะ สาขานี้คือสาขาแรก original สุดๆไปเลยค่า

This shop is very famous. Anyone who goes to Sao Chingcha must stop by. The shop is not very big. The seats may be a bit cramped. It is self-service. You can either eat at the shop or take it home. Most importantly, the air conditioning is very cool. Don't worry about eating and getting hot.

If you want to eat at the shop, just find something to reserve or you can ask the people you come with to reserve a seat first. Don't forget to remember your table number and walk to the counter to order food. You can order with the staff and pay (you can transfer money). If you want to buy take-out, you have to come and queue here as well.

Today, we didn't eat at the shop because the tables were full.🥲 So we bought a large bottle of lemon tea and chocolate pudding to take home. The lemon tea is the best. It is a homemade tea, not powdered tea. The taste is a bit bitter, but it is well-rounded and fragrant with tea and lemon. It is very refreshing. The chocolate pudding is very soft, rich, and not sweet at all. It smells very chocolatey. I personally like it a lot. So I bought 2 cups.

เสาชิงช้าถือเป็น Signature อันดับต้นๆของกรุงเทพมหานครที่นักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติรู้จักและต้องแวะมาเช็คอิน เสาชิงช้าจะอยู่หน้าวัดสุทัศน์เทพวราราม เป็นเสาชิงช้าสีแดง สูงถึง 21 เมตร ใครผ่านไปมาจะต้องจอดรถแวะถ่ายรูปเพื่อเป็นที่ระลึกเสมอ ในช่วงเย็นจะมีนกพิราบจำนวนมากบินมารอนักท่องเที่ยวที่นำอาหารมาเลี้ยง ซึ่งใครมาถ่ายภาพช่วงเย็นก็จะได้รูปนกพิราบบินว่อนเต็มพื้นและท้องฟ้าติดไปด้วย ช่วงนี้รอบๆเสาชิงช้ามีการประดับประดาด้วยต้นไม้ดอกไม้ประดับด้วย ทำให้คนถ่ายรูปทั้งเสาชิงช้าจะติดดอกไม้ไปด้วย จึงเป็นจุดสนใจนักท่องเที่ยวไปอีก

หลังจากที่เราพักเหนื่อยที่คาเฟ่แถวท่าเตียนกันแล้ว ผมก็นั่งรถไฟฟ้า MRT มาอีก 1 สถานีมาลงที่สถานีสามยอด แล้วเดินต่อมาถ่ายรูปที่เสาชิงช้าครับ

เสาชิงช้าตั้งอยู่ที่หน้าวัดสุทัศน์เทพวราราม แต่เดิมในอดีตเป็นที่ไว้ประกอบพิธีโล้ชิงช้า ตามความเชื่อของพราหมณ์เป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชาวพระนครและความกตัญญูต่อเทพ3 องค์ครับ ซึ่งพิธีโล้ชิงช้าถูกยกเลิกไปตั้งแต่สมัยรัชกาลที่ 7 เลย

เสาชิงช้ายังถือเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของกรุงเทพฯ จะเห็นได้ว่าชาวต่างชาติมักจะมาถ่ายรูปกันเยอะแยะไปหมดเลยครับ รอบๆบริเวณเสาชิงช้ายังมีร้านอาหารอร่อยๆอีกมากมาย ไว้เดี๋ยววันหลังผมจะพาเพื่อนๆมาชิมกันนะครับ

After we rested at a cafe near Tha Tien, I took the MRT for another station and got off at Sam Yot station. Then I walked to take pictures at the Giant Swing.

The Giant Swing is located in front of Wat Suthat Thepwararam. In the past, it was used for the Swing ceremony. According to the beliefs of Brahmins, it is the center of the hearts of the people of Phra Nakhon and the gratitude towards the 3 gods. The Swing ceremony was abolished since the reign of King Rama VII.

The Giant Swing is also considered a symbol of Bangkok. You can see that many foreigners often come to take pictures. There are many delicious restaurants around the Giant Swing. I will take my friends to try them out another time.
