You only understand why Capella Bangkok is so expensive after staying there.

Bangkok never lacks good hotels. Before Aman Nai Lert arrives, at least Capella firmly holds the position of the top luxury hotel in Bangkok. No one would disagree, right? 😝 Having previously stayed at the Four Seasons Bangkok, which is also under the same owner, Country Group Development PCL, I finally took the opportunity to try Capella during this holiday. The hotel is located on the historic Charoenkrung Road, surrounded by many historical sites, Michelin-starred restaurants, and popular coffee shops. The main building was designed by the Kuala Lumpur architectural firm Hamiltons International, and the interiors were handled by BAMO, giving the overall design a full sense of style. The check-in area is called the Living Room, offering a great sense of privacy. I booked a Riverside King Room for HK$10,600+ per night, but since I arrived in the evening, the butler suggested checking if there were any available Outdoor Pool Terrace Rooms with better views. After seeing it, I decisively paid the difference to upgrade. The next morning, seeing the view outside the room, I truly felt the money was well spent! 🏖️ Environment/Facilities: Room and Amenities • The room designs are very grand, with basic rooms starting at 61 square meters, and there are also standalone suite villas. • The interior decoration follows a simple and understated luxury style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River. • The room features smart controls, allowing you to adjust the lights, curtains, and order food from the bed using a tablet. • The private terrace pool is perfect for lounging in the water in the afternoon, watching the sunset over the Chao Phraya River—so chill. • A free shuttle boat takes you directly to the IconSiam mall on the other side of the river, super convenient. Dining Experience Breakfast is semi-buffet style, with Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Western options. However, the restaurant is not very large, and the buffet area is not as rich as the Four Seasons. Spa and Entertainment • The spa center is well-equipped and highly rated, using Aesop bath products. • The gym offers TRX and Muay Thai classes, but it is smaller than the one at the Four Seasons next door. • Capella's floral arrangements are very tasteful, with flowers even in the room's entrance, washbasin, and desk. 💞 Recommended Reason: Overall Experience As a hotel that focuses on the concept of urban resort, Capella's views, taste, room comfort, and service are indeed worth the price.
