We are Nicolena, a Japanese-Italian couple who love Asia and cost-effective travel✈︎ Here is a summary of things you should know before going to Thailand☺️ Thailand and Japan have different cultures, customs, and public safety, so things will be different from Japan😳 It is important to have some prior knowledge so that you can have a safe and comfortable stay and avoid violating etiquette🙌 It is especially important in terms of health and safety to be careful of things like "don't drink tap water" and "beware of pickpockets and snatchers"🚫 ① Don't drink tap water🚰 → Mineral water Drink alcohol ② Be aware of the dress code at temples👖 → Some temples prohibit tank tops and shorts ③ You may not be able to flush toilet paper🚽 → Many hotels have toilets that can flush toilet paper if the hotel is 4 stars or higher ④ Be careful of rip-offs from taxis and tuk-tuks🚕 → Ask the taxi to turn on the meter → Negotiate the fare before getting in the tuk-tuk ⑤ Be careful of traffic jams😵💫 → Traffic jams during rush hour in Bangkok are terrible!
