🥐 Review of YOLK Hong Kong Egg Tart, a famous shop in the Banthat Thong area

We saw the review of YOLK Hong Kong Egg Tart by In Sarin for a while. Today, we passed by Banthat Thong and stopped by to join the queue. . . We waited in line for about 20-30 minutes until it was our turn. However, we didn't eat it immediately because we were waiting to take it home. So, we ate it about 2 hours after we bought it. . . 🥐 The tart dough of this shop is croissant dough. When we bit into it, we saw layers of dough. Let me tell you, I personally like to eat dough a lot. When I found layers of dough that weren't heavy, I really liked it. —- 🥚 The tart filling was very juicy. I ate it after leaving it for about 2 hours. But the tart filling didn't look dry at all. It just wasn't as warm as when it was freshly made. The tart wasn't as sweet as I thought. This was what I liked because I don't like to eat things that are too sweet. It would make me sick and I couldn't finish it. Most importantly, the tart filling was light and not dense. —- 🍮 The caramel at the bottom has another layer of caramel. At first, I was surprised that something was dripping down. Good thing the caramel wasn't made too sweet because it wasn't thick and sticky, I think it was mixed. —- ⭐️ Summary: - If you normally like sweet desserts, you might not like it because this one is made just the right amount of sweet, so you can finish several pieces without getting sick of it. - If you like tarts with a dense base, thin and light tart crust, and dense tart filling, you might not like this recipe. - If you like dough, are a carb lover, and like desserts that aren't too sweet, I'd like you to try it at least once. - Personally, I don't like the caramel because it just makes a mess when it drips. But the flavors go well together. It's probably because of this that makes the tart filling juicy. - The price per piece is a bit high for the egg tart menu, but the taste is not the same as other tarts I've eaten. And maybe because the shop is located on a prime location like Banthat Thong. —- 📍Location: YOLK Banthat Thong - Limit purchases of no more than 12 pieces per person.- If you want a box, you have to buy 6 pieces.- Price per piece is 95 baht. If you buy a box of 6 pieces / 12 pieces, the price of each tart will be cheaper.- Open for sale every 30 minutes (should be the round when the pastries are finished baking).- First round at 3:00 p.m., last round at 10:30 p.m. —- #BangkokTravel #BangkokReview #yolkthailand #yolkBanthathong #BanthathongFoodReview #FoodReview
