Even with limited time on my recent trip, my friend and I made sure to visit their first location, The Commons Thonglor. This is a quintessential 5,000-square-meter community commercial space, strategically located right next to a wealthy residential area. A Vertical Village: The Commons is designed with open, tiered levels, completely lacking the enclosed feeling of a traditional shopping mall. The architecture boasts an industrial aesthetic, featuring exposed steel frames and natural wood tones. At its center, a giant extractor fan stands proudly as an artistic installation. What's truly unique is that it has no air conditioning; it relies entirely on natural ventilation and large ceiling fans to keep cool.
