Tickets cost CNY 30 during peak season and CNY 20 during the off-season, saving you time queuing at the ticket office. 💕 What to Bring: Wear comfortable athletic shoes, as the Summer Palace is vast and requires a lot of walking. Also, bring a hat, sunglasses, or an umbrella depending on the weather. 💕 Opening Hours and Best Time to Visit: Opening hours are generally 6:30–18:00 (subject to seasonal adjustments). We recommend entering the park around 9:00. At this time, the light is soft, ideal for taking photos, and there are relatively fewer visitors. Spring and autumn are the prime seasons to visit. In spring, hundreds of flowers are in full bloom, while in autumn, the golden ginkgo and fiery maple leaves add a unique charm to the Summer Palace. Entrance Options: 1⃣ East Palace Gate: As the main entrance, it offers convenient transportation. Take subway line 4 to Beigongmen Station and transfer to a bus. Entering from here, you'll first see Renshou Hall, providing a quick start to your historical and cultural exploration. 2⃣ North Palace Gate: Close to Suzhou Street and the back hill, this entrance is suitable for visitors who want to experience the charm of ancient streets before venturing into the mountains. Entering from here offers a different pace of exploration. Visiting Tips: 1⃣ Entering from the North Palace Gate requires climbing stairs. If you are traveling with seniors or children, you can enter through the North Ruyi Gate as advised by the staff (walk past the North Palace Gate after exiting the subway). 2⃣ The Summer Palace is very large. There's no need to buy a combined ticket. You can buy the entrance ticket first and purchase additional tickets for specific attractions inside the park. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there will be a lot of walking. 3⃣ The Summer Palace is open daily, but individually ticketed attractions within the park are closed for maintenance every Monday (except for public holidays). 4⃣ Gallery of Splendor: A popular spot for photos.
