A tranquil and serene village

Gubei Water Town was truly a place where I could experience what a 'slow-paced journey' really means. The entire village is composed of traditional architecture that retains an old-world charm, offering new scenery with every step. The harmony between nature and lighting within the town was incredibly beautiful. The path that follows the waterway from the entrance felt like walking through a movie set, with its charming structure of stone bridges and small crossings. Along the way, traditional handicraft shops offered activities like making natural soap or pottery, turning the trip into an 'interactive journey' rather than just sightseeing. I especially enjoyed the calligraphy experience, where I could write with a brush and frame it as a keepsake. The cafes all had wonderful atmospheres, and sipping tea while gazing at the scenery outside was pure bliss. As the sun sets, the entire village is bathed in warm lighting. Soft music plays, and lanterns reflect on the water, creating a dreamy ambiance throughout the walk. This is truly a place where words fall short; you have to visit and stroll through it to fully appreciate its charm.
