Strolling through Gubei Water Town

Gubei Water Town was a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy some quiet relaxation. Although it's not far from Beijing, arriving here felt like stepping into a completely different world. The entire town is designed in traditional Chinese architectural style, and every alley along the waterways is filled with intricate details, making it a visual delight just to walk around. The alleys were lined with shops where you could try your hand at making handicrafts, as well as small stores selling local delicacies, which made exploring all the more enjoyable. One of my favorite experiences was making a scented sachet. You could choose a traditional pattern and select the fragrance to fill it, creating a one-of-a-kind souvenir. Gubei Water Town is especially beautiful at night. When the sun sets and the lights come on, it feels as if starlight has descended onto the waterways. The lanterns reflecting on the calm water, the warm yellow glow of the lights in the alleys, and the tranquil atmosphere all come together to create a romantic setting.
