Top coffee spots in Bucharest

One of the first things I do once hitting the ground running in any new city is discovering where the perfect cup of coffee is. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find so many options to rank as one of the best coffee shops in Bucharest. Coffee shops are still new to Bucharest with many locals experiencing “specialty” coffee for the first time as they were non-existent during the communist era. 1. OTOTO Store Amzei Address - Str. D. I. Mendeleev 5 Highlights - it's a community hub that welcomes everyone, including families with kids and furry friends. Rating - 9/10 2. Origo Address - Strada Lipscani 9 Highlights - Stylish local, beautiful outdoor seating and very hip! The V60 coffee is truly enjoyable. Rating - 10/10 3. STEAM Address - Strada Uruguay, numarul 22 (Piata Charles de Gaulle) and the second location is at Strada Visarion, numarul 2 (Piata Romana) Highlights - Steam definitely has a charm as it is super cozy with only a few benches to sit on with 8 people probably being the max to fit in. Rating - 6/10 4. Sloane Coffee Shop Address - Calea Victoriei 87 Highlights - The cafe is in a British style building with an inner terrace, that I can barely wait to visit in summer. Good coffee, flat white can be improved, mine was too bitter Rating - 6/10 5.
