My trip to Romania

I finally embarked on my journey to Romania. This mysterious and charming country, with its medieval romance and unique Eastern European flair, captivated me from the moment I arrived, despite all the research I had done beforehand. In Bucharest, I visited the magnificent Palace of the Parliament, a truly iconic building with a lavish interior that speaks volumes about Romania's glorious past. Next, I traveled to Sibiu, where the well-preserved old town, with its narrow cobblestone streets and ancient buildings, transported me back to the Middle Ages. Brasov and Sighisoara, on the other hand, charmed visitors with their unique castles, especially Sighisoara's defensive towers, which felt straight out of a fairy tale. I was pleasantly surprised by Romanian cuisine. Ciorba de Burta (tripe soup) had a unique, sour, and salty flavor that was incredibly appetizing. Sarmale si Mamaliga (cabbage rolls and polenta) was a truly authentic traditional dish, each bite filled with a rich, home-style flavor. And the fragrant Mici (grilled minced meat rolls) were an absolute paradise for meat lovers. Overall, my trip to Romania exceeded all expectations. The people were warm and welcoming, the scenery picturesque, and the history and culture rich and fascinating.
