Hassan II Mosque

Located in Casablanca, Morocco, the Hassan II Mosque is the third-largest mosque in the world and the largest in Africa. Built between 1986 and 1993, it was designed by French architect Michel Pinseau, blending Moorish and Islamic architectural styles. Its most striking feature is its 210-meter-high minaret, the tallest in the world. Part of the mosque is built over the Atlantic Ocean, featuring a retractable roof. The interior is ornately decorated, incorporating marble, cedarwood, and hand-carvings. The mosque can accommodate approximately 105,000 worshippers and is a significant religious and tourist landmark in Morocco.
