Experience Zen at Randeng Ancient Temple

🏡Beyond the hustle and bustle of Luodai Ancient Town lies a serene, thousand-year-old temple. I've visited Luodai three times and only just discovered this tranquil sanctuary—Randeng Ancient Temple. 📿Historical Origins: Originally located on San'e Mountain in Luodai, Randeng Temple has been destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout its 1,400-year history. It now stands on Bajiaojing Street within the ancient town. 🧺Highlights: The temple's Shanmen Gate, Chuanzhu Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Niangniang Hall, Mahavira Hall (Arhat Hall), Guanyin Hall, and Randeng Ancient Buddha Hall have all been meticulously restored to their original appearance. A large collection of Qing Dynasty stone inscriptions is also preserved here. ‼️This is the perfect place to burn incense, offer prayers, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of Zen. Free from the crowds and noise, the temple's ancient architecture provides a picturesque backdrop. Enjoy Chengdu's unique "Bama Tea" culture and embrace the city's laid-back lifestyle. The ancient town boasts well-preserved millennium-old streets and Hakka dwellings. The old streets follow a "one street, seven alleys" layout, lined with shops on both sides, showcasing typical Ming and Qing Dynasty architectural styles. 📍Address: Luodai Town, Longquanyi District, Chengdu. The ancient town has two dedicated parking lots; parking fees are 10 CNY for 12 hours, with the first 15 minutes free. Half a day is sufficient for sightseeing.
