Cheongju outing ✨

Cheongju is a great city for a day trip 🚗✨ It takes only 1-2 hours from Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, so you can visit without any burden, and it is full of delicious restaurants and emotional spots! The highlight of this day trip to Cheongju is ‘Wangttukbaegi Gamjatang’ 🐷🍲 I fell in love with the rich and refreshing soup. After leaving early in the morning and arriving in Cheongju, I first stop by Sangdangsanseong Fortress and start with a light walk. 🍃 It is a historical site and a healing place close to the city center, so the air is clean, and the wide open view as you walk along the mountain path makes you feel really good 🌄 After finishing the walk, you start to get hungry, so let’s go to ‘Wangttukbaegi Gamjatang’ at the perfect time! 🐽🔥 As the name suggests, Gamjatang comes out in a full pot. The meat is plump, and the soup is savory and refreshing, so it really fills you up. The white soup with plenty of perilla powder and perilla leaves is mixed together, and you have to mix it with rice at the end to really finish it off 🍚❤️ After a hearty lunch, we head to Cheongju Dongbu Warehouse 🧱 This is a complex cultural space that was remodeled from an old grain warehouse, so it's great for recharging your emotions by looking around the exhibitions, book cafes, and prop shops 📸☕ Also, if you stop by the nearby Cheongju Arts Center or Uncheon-dong Mural Village, there are many great photo spots, so it's the perfect way to end your trip 🎨 A day trip to Cheongju where you can enjoy nature, history, delicious restaurants, and emotions all in one day!
